In this paper, we discuss the BBA based power scaling scheme in cognitive radio technique for WPAN system. We focus on Cognitive Radio environment which is currently ongoing standard procedure and is able to focus on future communication and show the transmitted power scaling of CR user. We suggest the available communication method of CR user, while it is simultaneously satisfying both minimum interference of PU(Primary User) and possible communication of CR user. The method is using the BBA, and we show several merits in face of received SINR. and we prove that CR vary its transmit power while maintaining a guarantee of service to primary users.
Research on the development and effectiveness of internet-based cognitive-behavioral therapy with a trauma focus (iCBT-T) has been actively conducted in Western societies, but these studies have just begun in Korea. The purpose of this study was to suggest practical considerations to developing and managing the iCBT-T program. After reviewing previous studies on iCBT-T, this author suggested a model of convergence and collaboration between mental health knowledge and information and communication technologies (ICT) to develop the iCBT-T program. This article outlines practical considerations, including focus and target groups of iCBT-T, intervention types of iCBT-T (open access vs. guided), number of sessions, ethical issues, professional support, and degree of user involvement. Methods to complement the limitations of internet as a medium are also proposed in the iCBT-T program. The convergence model of CBT-T and ICT is expected to promote the development of programs that can contribute to improving the mental health of users who experience traumatic events.
Objectives: This paper aimed to provide an in-depth analysis of the factors influencing the dietary habits of male and female workers at a facility in Gwangju and their awareness of the same. Methods: A total of 32 workers were divided into eight groups based on work type, gender, and age, and focus group interviews (FGIs) were conducted. The FGIs included cognitive, behavioral, and environmental questionnaires based on dietary habits and the social cognitive theory. The interviews were analyzed by subject and sub-subject using audio recordings and transcriptions. Results: Male workers in the concerned company favored meat while female workers preferred vegetables, yet by and large, the preferences were irregular. Male workers living alone frequently ate ready meals and female workers often skipped meals. An analysis of the factors influencing the study subjects' dietary habits from the cognitive, behavioral, and environmental perspectives showed that the main factors negatively affecting their dietary habits were shiftwork, living alone, and drinking. Workers were unaware of these factors and their poor eating habits. Instead, male workers complained of poor cooking skills, while female workers complained of loneliness. Workers thus appeared to need the support of nutrition education and a counseling assistant to cope with this situation. Conclusions: The study identified the fact that the absence of nutrition education left the workers unaware of their poor eating habits. The workers would need counseling and support to help them build healthy dietary habits. It would also be necessary to focus on raising the workers' cognitive awareness of dietary habits and enhancing their behavioral ability to cope with bad eating habits through nutrition education that reflects the reality of their situation.

Purpose: This study developed a Korean sentiment questionnaire by adapting an existing English survey using focus group interview (FGI)-based cognitive interview (CI) techniques to investigate the utilization of outcome measures (OMs) among Korean physical therapists. Methods: The existing OMs survey questionnaire was adapted by dividing eight physical therapists into two groups: mid-experienced (n=4) and high-experienced (n=4). Each group participated in a 120-minute FGI-based CI session. All interviews were recorded, and the researcher transcribed the data immediately after each interview. The data were then organized and categorized into themes using Excel 2021 and verified with the participants. Results: FGI-based CI sessions were conducted with Korean physical therapists to revise the English version of the questionnaire, tailoring it to the local context. Four main themes emerged from the interviews: inappropriate items or translations, questionnaire length and organization, questionnaire improvements, and additional items. The questionnaire was revised based on the feedback obtained during these interviews. Conclusion: The questionnaire was modified according to the themes derived from the interviews. The questionnaire was developed to represent the clinical environment of Korean physical therapy accurately by removing elements of the questionnaire unsuitable for the Korean sentiment and incorporating the perspectives of Korean physical therapists.
As it was argued that students' cognitive engagement can be, at least in part, modified by individual or learning environmental factors, prior studies have attempted to identify the factors explaining the variability of students' cognitive engagement. This literature review has shown that students' cognitive engagement can be altered by various elements in the learning environment design such as factors related students' perceptions of teaching quality, characteristics of tasks and learning activities, teachers' behaviors during instruction, classroom goal structures, the integration of student oriented learning, action learning, problem-based learning, and constructivist learning, and academic disciplines. Based on the review, this study suggests that more studies are required to focus on understandings how the integration of instructional design principles into courses and the levels of student cognitive engagement in these courses are related. Also, an investigation of direct and indirect effect of learning environments taking into account students' personal factors would provide a more accurate picture of the relationship between learning environmental factors and students' cognitive engagement.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of performing a cognitive task during treadmill walking on the stride rate variability. Ten university students(age $24.0{\pm}0.25$, height $172{\pm}3.1cm$, weight $66{\pm}5.3kg$) were participated in dual task experiments which consist of both walking alone and walking with a cognitive task. Two-back task was selected for the cognitive task since it did not have learning effect during the experimental procedure.3D motion analysis system was used to measure subject's position data by changing walking speed with 4.8, 5.6, 6.4, 6.8, and 7.2 km/hr. Stride rate was calculated by the time between heel contact and heel contact. Accuracy rate of a cognitive task during walking, coefficient of variance, allometric scaling methods and Fano factor were used to estimated the stride rate variability. As the walking speed increased, accuracy rate decreased and the logarithmic value of Fano factor increased which showed the statistical difference. Thus it can be concluded that the gait control mechanism is distracted by the secondary attention focus which is the cognitive task ie. two-back task. Further study is needed to clarify this by increasing the number of subject and experiment time.
This paper deals with the anaphoric usage of demonstratives when they refer to what are already mentioned in the context. We examine syntactic, semantic and pragmatic factors that contribute to the choice of demonstratives. As for anaphoric usage, English and Spanish show the even distribution between proximal and distal demonstratives with the meaning of their deictic counterparts. Korean and Russian, however, show the uneven distribution of the more prevalent form (unmarked on) and the lesser one (market one). This study aims at a typological explanation for the anaphoric usage of demonstratives through comparison and contrast with such factors as the distance to the antecedent, cognitive status, psychological distance and the center of attention.
This study investigated scope relations between quantifier and focus which are represented in quantified sentences. In the sentence which has both strong quantifier and weak quantifier, one of them has a wide scope and a presuppositional reading, and the other which has a narrow one is interpreted non-presuppositionally. In Korean, when a weak quantifier is separated from VP in surface representation, whether it is a subject or an object, it has only a presuppositional reading. Therefore, there is no scope ambiguity in that sentence. However, when weak quantifier which is an object of transitive verb or a subject of transitive verb is sensitive to focus, it is available to non-presuppositional reading, so that the sentence seems to be ambiguous. Once even weak quantifier out of VP in the Surface structure is focused, it becomes to be in the scope of focus (focal phrase) which is formed in Logical form by a focus projection. And this scope of focus corresponds to a nuclear scope. That is to say, focus operates on the weak quantifier to be interpreted non-presuppositionally in a nuclear scope.
The present research was designed to study the effect of gender differences and focus of attention (on sadness and on joy) in altruistic behavior. The subjects were 74 boys and 76 girls from a junior high school in Seoul. Emotion arousing and focus of attention identifying methods were used. Statistical analyses were with two-way ANOVA and $Scheff\acute{e}$ test. There were significant differences in altruisic behavior between the sadness self-oriented group and the sadness other-oriented group. The results were explained in terms of the accessibility of cognitive contents.
The cognitive abilities are functions in human brain. They are closely with the real life. The cognitive abilities are likely to be decreased when human gets older and older. Fortunately, due to the plasticity of human brain, it is possible to help recover and rehabilitate brain function. Those efforts are called brain training and cognitive ability training. The cognitive ability training needs continuous trials and efforts. But many users feel boring because of simple repetitive works. This paper proposes a cognitive training system implemented in a smart device. The proposed system is designed to make users to focus on the repetitive training by using game-based tasks on the smart device. It shows that the proposed system is effective to attention and flexible on cognitive training game.
