This paper considers the smooth receding contact problem between a homogeneous half-plane and a composite laminate composed of an inhomogeneously coated elastic layer. The inhomogeneity of the elastic modulus of the coating is approximated by an exponential function along the thickness dimension. The three-component structure is pressed together by either a concentrated force or uniform pressures applied at the top surface of the composite laminate. Both semianalytical and finite element analysis are performed to solve for the extent of contact and the contact pressure. In the semianalytical formulation, Fourier integral transformation of governing equations and boundary conditions leads to a singular integral equation of Cauchy-type, which can be numerically integrated by Gauss-Chebyshev quadrature to a desired degree of accuracy. In the finite element modeling, the functionally graded coating is divided into homogeneous sublayers and the shear modulus of each sublayer is assigned at its lower boundary following the predefined exponential variation. In postprocessing, the stresses of any node belonging to sublayer interfaces are averaged over its surrounding elements. The results obtained from the semianalytical analysis are successfully validated against literature results and those of the finite element modeling. Extensive parametric studies suggest the practicability of optimizing the receding contact peak stress and the extent of contact in multilayered structures by the introduction of functionally graded coatings.
Aminopropyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane was synthesized by hydrosilylation reaction with hydride terminated polydimethlysiloxane and allyl amine. Polydimethylsiloxane modified urea with isocyanate group was prepared from cyclic trimer of hexamethyldiisocyanate with aminopropyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane. Polydimethylsiloxane modified urea/acrylate resin (PUA) was prepared from the urethane reaction of PU with isocyanate group and 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate. PUA structure was analyzed by FTIR and NMR. Coating materials were prepared by mixing PUA, acrylic monomer, photo-initiator, and solvent and coated on PET film to obtain flexible hard coating film by UV irradiation.
It is important to reduce a reflection of light as a solar cell is device that directly converts the energy of solar radiation to electrical energy in oder to improve efficiency of solar cells. The antireflection coating has proven effective in providing substantial increase in solar cell efficiency. This paper investigates the formation of thin film PSi(porous silicon) layer on the surface of crystalline silicon substrates without other ARC(antirefiection coating) layers. On the other hand the formation of $SO_{2}/SiN_x$ ARC layers on the surface of crystalline silicon substrates. After that, the structure of PSi and $SO_2/SiN_x$ ARC was investigated by SEM and reflectance. The formation of PSi layer and $SO_{2}/SiN_x$ ARC layers on the textured silicon wafer result about 5% in the wavelength region from 0.4 to $1.0{\mu}m$. It is achieved on the textured crystalline silicon solar cell that each efficiency is 14.43%, 16.01%.
In this work, ceramic coatings were prepared on Al7075 aluminum alloy using microarc oxidation (MAO) process in a silicate-fluoride based electrolyte solution. The effect of $OH^-$ concentration, by adding NaOH to the solution on the microstructural and mechanical properties of the coating was investigated. Surface morphology and cross sectional view of the coating was analyzed using SEM while XRD was used to examine the phase compositions of the coatings. From XRD ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ phase was found to be increased by adding NaOH to the electrolyte. Thereby, the hardness and the wear properties of the MAO coatings were found to be superior to those of the coatings prepared without NaOH addition or with amount maximum than 2 g/l NaOH. Moreover, the morphology of the coatings was transformed form nodule-based cluster to crater based structure with the addition of NaOH to the MAO electrolyte solution.

New waterproofing technologies have emerged in the field of building waterproofing due to the recent diversification of the size and type of structures, the enhancement of required performance, and the diversification of new technologies (such as materials and methods)(Sheet waterproofing material, coating waterproofing material) is reduced, and composite waterproofing materials that utilize mutual benefits are widely used by compounding them (sheet+coating film, coating film+sheet). However, it is true that there is no evaluation method that can verify these composite waterproof materials, which is the most widely used at present, but the KS standard only specifies tests for individual materials However, there is a situation in which the countermeasures without a test method for composite waterproofing become sudden.

Corrosion characteristics of Ti, Ti/Cr coated and plasma-nitrided surface for stainless steel containing Ti have been studied. Stainless steels containing 0.09-0.92wt% Ti were fabricated by using vacuum furnace and solutionized for 1hr at $1050^{\circ}C$. Ti and Cr coatings were done on solutionized stainless steel surface by EB-PVD. The Ti coated specimen were coated by Cr and were nitrided by plasma at $450^{\circ}C$ for 5hr Microstructure and phase analysis were performed using SEM, OM and EDX. Corrosion behavior of the coated specimen was investigated by electrochemical test. The coated surface was of fine columnar structure. The Ti/Cr coated surface was denser than the Ti coated and the Ti coated-nitrided surfaces. The corrosion and pitting potential increased in proportion to the Ti content, coating temperature, coating thickness and formation of stable oxide film. The current density in active and passive region decreased in the case of Ti/Cr coated sample and Ti coated-nitrided samples. Especially the plasma nitrided specimen after Ti coating have a good corrosion resistance compared with the Ti coated specimen. The number and size of pits decreased as Ti content of matrix increased.

Rudder, one of the most important component in the marine vessel, is now being decreased life time to serve due to cavitation erosion, vortex current, high flow speed suffer from ship speed going up dramatically. In this study, 10 kinds of thermal spray coating materials(2 of Zn alloy series, 3 of Al alloy series, 3 of Cu alloy series, 2 of STS alloy series) are chosen to apply on specimens and analyze micro structure, metallic composition, properties(porosity, oxidation) by using visual observation, XRD, EDX etc.. Additionally, to refine the characteristic of corrosion endurance for thermal spray coating layer, compared with thermal spray process and 5 kinds of heavy duty painting and AC paint (Anti-Corrosion Paint). Based on above mentioned experimental results, a priority of all coated specimens on corrosion-erosion endurances finalized and summarized there by desirable composition and process of thermal sprayed material properly.

PZT(80/20) powder was prepared by a sol-gel method and PZT thick films were fabricated by the screen-printing method on the alumina substrates. The coating and drying procedure was repeated 4 times. And then the PZT(20/80) precursor solution was spin-coated on the multilayered thick films. A concentration of a coating solution was 0.5 mol/L and the number of coating was repeated from 0 to 6. The porosity of the thick films was decreased with increasing the number of coatings and the PZT thick films with 6-times coated showed the dense microstructure and thickness of about 60-65 ${\mu}m$. All PZT thick films showed the typical XRD patterns of a typical perovskite polycrystalline structure. The relative dielectric constant and the dielectric loss of the PZT-6 thick film were 275 and 3.5, respectively. And the PZT-6 film shows the remanent polarization of 22.1 $C/cm^2$ and coercive field of 13.7 kV/cm.
Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) is one of the promising representive of polymer gate dielectric for its high resistivity and sutible dielectric constant. PMMA (Mw=96700) films were prepared on p-Si by spin coating method. PMMA were coated compactively and flatly as observes by AFM. MIS(Al/PMMA/p-Si) structure was made and capacitance-voltage (C-V) and current-voltage (I-V) measurements were done with PMMA films for repeated annealing cycles at $100^{\circ}C$. 1-V measured at various delay times $(0{\sim}20sec)$ showed little change and the absence of hysteresis in the I-V characteristics with delay times, which eliminate the possibility of deep traps in the PMMA films. The observed thermal stability, smooth surfaces, dielectric constant, I-V behavior implies PMMA formed by spin coating can be used as an efficient gate dielectric layer in OTFTs.

In this study, the influence of the physical properties of ink such as ink dispersity and emulsified amount on the printability of a coated paper was investigated with seven kinds of cyan inks. In addition, two kinds of coating formulations were tested to evaluate the effect of coating structure on the coated paper printability. It was found that the cyan ink with $2{\mu}m$ pigment size had the best dispersibility and hence the ink showed a best ink density on the two kinds of coated papers. When the emulsified ink A with IPA 20 wt% had a lower viscosity than emulsified ink B with IPA 10 wt%, the emulsified ink A showed relatively high value of the ink transfer rate in comparison with emulsified ink B. Despite the high value of ink transfer rate, the coated paper did not show a good printability because those inks with low viscosity due to a strong emulsification were easy to make print mottle on the coated paper.
