  • The size of ship is being larger than the past in the shipping industry thanks to the increased quantity of goods transported by ship. Therefore, HHIC (Hanjin Heavy industries & Construction co., LTD) invented innovative construction method, so called 'DAM', to build a ship which is longer than the length of the HHIC's dry dock. On Erection at the sea by the application of DAM Method, Squeezing & Detachment of A/F film may occur as a result of the wave and the constriction between A/F film pre-applied on the side shell and DAM's Rubber Packing. Thus, the test for finding the minimum curing time of A/F film was performed to protect Squeezing & Detachment of A/F film on the hull. To verify the soundness of paint and to find the optimum condition during the erection period of the DAM, laboratory test was carried out under no immersion condition through the application of various coatings on the Rubber Packing. And two methods were selected from the results of laboratory test for actual MOCK-UP Test. In addition, the test for the film profile per temperature of silicone A/F coat and the film Squeezing was performed.

  • An all solid-state thin film supercapacitor (TFSC) with Co$_3$O$_4$/LiPON/Co$_3$O$_4$ structure was fabricated on Pt/Ti/Si substrate using Co$_3$O$_4$ thin film electrode. Each Co$_3$O$_4$ film was grown by reactive dc reactive magnetron sputtering with increasing $O_2$/[Ar+O$_2$] ratio. Amorphous LiPON electrolyte film was deposited on Co$_3$O$_4$/Pt/Ti/Si in pure nitrogen ambient by using reactive rf magnetron sputtering. The electrochemical behavior of the Co$_3$O$_4$/LiPON/Co$_3$O$_4$ multi-layer structures exhibits a behavior of a bulk-type supercapacitor, even though much lower capacity (from 5 to 25 mF/$\textrm{cm}^2$-$\mu\textrm{m}$) than that of the bulk one. It was found that the TFSC showed a fairly constant discharge capacity with a constant current of 50 $\mu\textrm{A}/\textrm{cm}^2$ at the cut-off voltage 0-2V during 400 cycles. It is shown that the electrochemical behavior of the Co$_3$O$_4$/LiPON/Co$_3$O$_4$ TFSC is dependent upon the sputtering gas ratio. The capacity dependency of electrode films on different gas ratios was explained by different structural, electrical, and surfacical properties.

  • Biodegradation behavior of poly(butylene succinate-co-butylene adipate) (PBSA) was examined when PBSA was buried in the natural soil and the soil inoculated with Burkholderia cepacia after sterilization. After 80 days of the soil burial test at room temperature, the PBSA film buried in the natural soil lost 34.0% of its intial weight, while the same film lost 59.2% of its initial weight when buried in the sterile soil inoculated with B. cepacia. The optical and SEM observations of the surface morphology of the PBSA film also indicated that the surface erosion and rupture took place faster when the film was buried in the sterile soil inoculated with B. cepacia compared to the film buried in the natural soil. Viable cell number in the natural soil and that the sterile soil inoculated with B. cepacia increased by a factor of 6~7 and 10~14, respectively as compared to the initial viable cell number.

On January 8 in 2017, the maximum, minimum and average air temperature in greenhouse covered with CHO-CO film were $38.9^{\circ}C$, $13.4^{\circ}C$ and $20.1^{\circ}C$, respectively. At the same date, the maximum, minimum and average air temperature in greenhouse covered with PO film were $40.0^{\circ}C$, $14.9^{\circ}C$ and $20.3^{\circ}C$, respectively. On August 7 in 2017, the maximum, minimum and average air temperature in greenhouse covered with CHO-CO film were $47.2^{\circ}C$, $23.1^{\circ}C$ and $32.4^{\circ}C$, respectively, and the maximum, minimum and average air temperature in greenhouse covered with PO film were $50.3^{\circ}C$, $23.6^{\circ}C$ and $34.0^{\circ}C$, respectively. The results of investigation of qualities and yields of Korean melons from May 26 to August 15 in 2017 were as follows. The fruit weight of Korean melon harvested in CHO-CO film's greenhouse was 371.6g which was 22.2g less than that of PO film greenhouse. The sugar contents of Korean melon harvested in CHO-CO film greenhouse was $14.5^{\circ}brix$ which was $1.4^{\circ}brix$ greater than that of the fruits harvested in PO film greenhouse. The chromaticity (a-value) of fruit skin of Korean melon harvested in CHO-CO film greenhouse was 12.3 which was 1.5 greater than that of the fruits harvested in PO film greenhouse. The marketable yield rate of Korean melon harvested in CHO-CO film's greenhouse was 89.4% which was 8.0% higher than the fruits harvested in PO film greenhouse. The yield of Korean melon harvested in CHO-CO film's greenhouse was 2694kg per 10 a which was 26% more than that harvested in PO film greenhouse. In conclusion, the CHO-CO film could be effective to produce Korean melon in high temperature season.

  • This study was carried out to find out major factors to mitigate carbon emission using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). System boundary of LCA was confined from sowing to packaging during vegetable production. Input amount of agri-materials was calculated on 2007 Income reference of white radish, chinese cabbage and chive produced at open field and film house published by Rural Development Administration. Domestic data and Ecoinvent data were used for emission factors of each agri-material based on the 1996 IPCC guideline. Carbon footprint of white radish was 0.19 kg $CO_2kg^{-1}$ at open fields, 0.133 kg $CO_2kg^{-1}$ at film house, that of chinese cabbage was 0.22 kg $CO_2kg^{-1}$ at open fields, 0.19 kg $CO_2kg^{-1}$ at film house, and that of chive was 0.66 kg $CO_2kg^{-1}$ at open fields and 1.04 kg $CO_2kg^{-1}$ at film house. The high carbon footprint of chive was related to lower vegetable production and higher fuel usage as compared to white radish and Chinese cabbage. The mean proportion of carbon emission was 35.7% during the manufacturing byproduct fertilizer; white radish at open fields was 50.6%, white radish at film house 13.1%, Chinese cabbage at outdoor 38.4%, Chinese cabbage at film house 34.0%, chive at outdoor 50.6%, and chive at film house 36.0%. Carbon emission, on average, for the step of manufacturing and combustion accounted for 16.1% of the total emission; white radish at open fields was 4.3%, white radish at film house 15.6%, Chinese cabbage at open fields 6.9%, Chinese cabbage at film house 19.0%, chive at open fields 12.5%, and chive at film house 29.1%. On the while, mean proportion of carbon footprint for the step of $N_2O$ emission was 29.2%; white radish at open fields was 39.2%, white radish at film house 41.9%, Chinese cabbage at open fields 34.4%, Chinese cabbage at film house 23.1%, chive at open fields 28.8%, and chive at film house 17.1%. Fertilizer was the primary factor and fuel was the secondary factor for carbon emission among the vegetables of this study. It was suggested to use Heug-To-Ram web-service system, http://soil.rda.go.kr, for the scientific fertilization based on soil testing, and for increase of energy efficiency to produce low carbon vegetable.

  • Under the background of globalization, the borderless nature of film and television language makes the exchange of film as the carrier become an important part of cultural exchanges in various countries. Therefore, film co-production between China and the United States, China and Japan, China and South Korea and other countries has become an important part of the current Chinese film industry. Among them, China and South Korea are close neighbors, and the exchanges between the two countries' films are also increasing. Korean movies have recovered since the 1990s, and they prospered at the beginning of the 21st century, and have formed a unique influence in the international community, especially in crime, suspense, love and other types of films. The co-production of Chinese and Korean films began to appear in 2000, and the signing of the "China-Korea Co-production Film Agreement" in 2014 prompted the rapid convergence of Chinese and Korean film co-productions. However, the co-productions of China and South Korea did not achieve good expectations in terms of communication effects and market evaluation. This article will use the "cultural discount" theory in cross-cultural communication to analyze the reasons for the cultural discounts produced by Chinese and Korean co-productions and how to avoid this phenomenon to the maximum extent.
