  • The clustering is an important mechanism thai provides information for mobile nodes efficiently and improves the processing capacity for routing and the allocation of bandwidth. This paper proposes a clustering scheme based on the fuzzy relevance degree to solve problems such as node distribution found in the dynamic property due to mobility and flat structure and to enhance the routing performance. The proposed scheme uses the fuzzy relevance degree, ${\alpha}$, to select the cluster head for clustering in FSV (Fuzzy State Viewing) structure. The fuzzy relevance ${\alpha}$ plays the role in CH selection that processes the clustering in FSV. The proposed clustering scheme is used to solve problems found in existing 1-hop and 2-hop clustering schemes. NS-2 simulator is used to verify the performance of the proposed scheme by simulation. In the simulation the proposed scheme is compared with schemes such as Lowest-ID, MOBIC, and SCA. The simulation result showed that the proposed scheme has better performance than the other existing compared schemes.

  • Over recent years, enormous amounts of research in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have been conducted, due to its multifarious applications such as in environmental monitoring, object tracking, disaster management, manufacturing, monitoring and control. In some of WSN applications dependent the energy-efficient and link reliability are demanded. Hence, this paper presents a routing protocol that considers these two criteria. We propose a new mechanism called Reliable Routing Scheme for Energy-Balanced (RRSEB) to reduce the packets dropped during the data communications. It is based on Swarm Intelligence (SI) using the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) method. The RRSEB is a self-adaptive method to ensure the high routing reliability in WSNs, if the failures occur due to the movement of the sensor nodes or sensor node's energy depletion. This is done by introducing a new method to create alternative paths together with the data routing obtained during the path discovery stage. The goal of this operation is to update and offer new routing information in order to construct the multiple paths resulting in an increased reliability of the sensor network. From the simulation, we have seen that the proposed method shows better results in terms of packet delivery ratio and energy efficiency.

  • An ad hoc wireless networks forms temporary network without the aid of fixed networks or centralized administration with a collection of wireless mobile hosts. In this case, it is necessary for one mobile host to enlist the aid of other hosts in forwarding a packet to its destination. This paper presents an efficient cluster-based routing protocol scheme for ad hoc networks. The cluster is used for path setup and data delivery. Our cluster-based routing algorithm is designed for the improvement of the load balance. Our simulation results show the improved performance for low mobility networks comparing with the previous works.

  • Centralized hierarchical routing protocols are often used to solve the problems of uneven energy consumption and short network life in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Clustering and cluster head election have become the focuses of WSNs. In this paper, an energy balanced clustering routing algorithm optimized by sine cosine algorithm (SCA) is proposed. Firstly, optimal cluster head number per round is determined according to surviving node, and the candidate cluster head set is formed by selecting high-energy node. Secondly, a random population with a certain scale is constructed to represent a group of cluster head selection scheme, and fitness function is designed according to inter-cluster distance. Thirdly, the SCA algorithm is improved by using monotone decreasing convex function, and then a certain number of iterations are carried out to select a group of individuals with the minimum fitness function value. From simulation experiments, the process from the first death node to 80% only needs about 30 rounds. This improved algorithm balances the energy consumption among nodes and avoids premature death of some nodes. And it greatly improves the energy utilization and extends the effective life of the whole network.

  • In this paper, we propose to new dispatcher method, which doesn't depend on an operating system of the server, and the direct routing method, by which a server answers a client's request at first hand. And, propose new web clustering scheme based on the contents on the web where web servers composed of cluster, with each different contents, answer client's request. The other purposes are to reduce overhead of the dispatcher through load balance, and to minimize the time to take in responding to a client's request. The performance of new web cluster scheme was improved by about 39% than that of the existing RR method. It was identified that the performance of the proposed web cluster method was extraordinary improved comparing with that of the existing RR method as a whole.

  • In the Cluster-Based Routing Protocol (CBRP) a cluster header in each cluster should be elected. The cluster headers consume energy much more than other member nodes do because they manage and operate all of mobile nodes in their cluster. The traditional CBRP elects a cluster header without considering the remaining electric energy of each node. So, there exist problems that the cluster header has short average lifetime, and a new cluster header should be elected again frequently. In this paper, we propose the improved protocol which prolongs the lifetime of the cluster header, decreases the problem of re-electing the cluster header and enhances the stability of the path. In order to achieve this, when a cluster header is elected in a cluster, the remaining electric energies of all the nodes are compared with one another, and the node with the highest energy is elected as the cluster header. Also, the node with the second highest energy is elected as the second header. If the elected cluster header is unable to perform the role of the cluster header any more because the remaining energy level goes low, it sends a beacon message to neighbor member nodes, then the second header will serve as the cluster header.

  • Traditional cluster-based routing method is a representative method for increasing the energy efficiencies. In these cluster-based routing methods, the selected cluster head collect/aggregate the information and send the aggregated information to the base station. But they have to solve the unnecessary energy dissipation of frequent information exchange between the cluster head and whole member nodes in cluster. In this paper, we minimize the frequency of the information exchange for reducing the unnecessary transmit/receive frequencies as calculate the overlapped area or number of overlapped member nodes between the selected cluster head and previous cluster head in the setup phase. And besides, we consider the direction of super cluster head for optimal cluster formation. So, we propose the modified cluster selection scheme that optimizes the energy dissipation in the setup phase and reuses the saved energy in the steady phase efficiently that prolongs the whole wireless sensor network lifetime by uniformly selecting the cluster head.

  • Ad-hoc network is soft wireless communication network that is consisted of mobile node and clusters without helping of infrastructure. We propose a new ad hoc multicast routing protocol for based on the ontology scheme called inference network. Ontology knowledge-based is one of the structure of context-aware. Proposed structure is consisted of context awareness parameters as like distance between each nodes. The proposed architecture performs two types of routing discovery. One is Flooding Discovery Routing(FDR) for comparing analysis step and Local Discovery Routing(LDR) to compose path of node forecast(preservation) step from node's state value. The inference network structure of proposed RODMRP(Resilient Ontology-based Dynamic Multicast Routing Protocol) adopts a tree structure to enhance an efficient packet in various environment between mobile node. We will have developed an algorithm that will desist multi-hierarchy Layered networks to simulate a desired system.

  • Sensor nodes in wireless network have several limitations such as lack of energy resource and network bandwidth. There are many researches to extend lifetime of sensor network and enhance availability. However, most of the previous researches didn't consider the mobile sink node. Those researches aren't suitable in the environment having mobile sinks. In this paper. we propose a scheme that reduces communication overheads and energy consumptions and improves reliability in routing path setup. Proposed scheme has excellent scalability without degrading performance in environment where many sink nodes exist and/or the network size is huge. Proposed scheme saves the energy consumption up to 70% in comparison with the previous grid-based and cluster-based protocol. As a result, proposed scheme increases the lifetime of sensor network and enhances availability of wireless sensor network.

  • Recently, the need of researches and developments about WSN(Wireless Sensor Network) technologies, which can be applied to services that require continuous monitoring or services to specific areas where accesses are limited, has gradually increased due to their expansion of application areas and the improvement of the efficiency. Especially, in the defense field, researches on the latest IT technologies including sensor network areas are actively conducted as an alternative to avoid the risk factors that can be occurred when personnel are put in, such as boundary and surveillance reconnaissance and to utilize personnel efficiently. In this paper, we analyze the conditions for increasing the life span of sensing nodes that make up sensor network by applying clustering and location-based techniques and derived the factors for extending the life span of them. The derived factors include CH(Cluster Head) election scheme and optimal path selection from CH to BS(Base Station). We proposed final scheme using derived factors and verified it through simulation experiments.
