It is well-known that virtualization technology can bring many benefits not only to users but also to service providers. From the view of system security and resource utility, higher resource sharing degree and higher system reliability can be obtained by the introduction of virtualization technology in distributed cloud. The small size time-sharing multiplexing technology which is based on virtual machine in distributed cloud platform can enhance the resource utilization effectively by server consolidation. In this paper, the concept of memory block and user satisfaction is redefined combined with user requirements. According to the unbalanced memory resource states and user preference requirements in multi-virtual machine environments, a model of proper memory resource allocation is proposed combined with memory block and user satisfaction, and at the same time a memory optimization allocation algorithm is proposed which is based on virtual memory block, makespan and user satisfaction under the premise of an orderly physical nodes states also. In the algorithm, a memory optimal problem can be transformed into a resource workload balance problem. All the virtual machine tasks are simulated in Cloudsim platform. And the experimental results show that the problem of virtual machine memory resource allocation can be solved flexibly and efficiently.
The cloud computing paradigm introduced pay-per-use models in which IT services can be created and scaled on-demand. However, service providers are still concerned about the constraints imposed by their physical infrastructures. In order to keep the required QoS and achieve the goal of upholding the SLA, virtualized resources must be efficiently consolidated to maximize system throughput while keeping energy consumption at a minimum. Using ANN, we propose a predictive SLA-aware approach for consolidating virtualized resources in a cloud environment. To maintain the QoS and to establish an optimal trade-off between performance and energy efficiency, the server's utilization threshold dynamically adapts to the physical machine's resource consumption. Furthermore, resource-intensive VMs are prevented from getting underprovisioned by assigning them to hosts that are both capable and reputable. To verify the performance of our proposed approach, we compare it with non-optimized conventional approaches as well as with other previously proposed techniques in a heterogeneous cloud environment setup.

The increasing of Cloud Computing technology among several companies has been a key strategy for IT services to provide desirable IT solutions to consumers of cloud services. More attention is concentrated to these core technologies that enable cloud services and more particularly to the virtualization aspect. The accessibility to a larger number of users is possible because of the usage of the data-intensive, data management and data integrity. Unfortunately, those useful services are vulnerable to kind of attacks by hackers, thus the security of personal information is in critical situation. To solve this to leakage vulnerability, and with the proliferation of cloud services, the cloud service providers adopt a security system with firewall, antivirus software and a large number of virtualized servers and Host. In this paper, a variety of virtualization technologies, threats and vulnerabilities are described with a complement of different security solutions as countermeasures.
The security risk management used by some service providers is not appropriate for effective security enhancement. The reason is that the security risk management methods did not take into account the opinions of security experts, types of service, and security vulnerability-based risk assessment. Moreover, the security risk assessment method, which has a great influence on the risk treatment method in an information security risk assessment model, should be security risk assessment for fine-grained risk assessment, considering security vulnerability rather than security threat. Therefore, we proposed an improved information security risk management model and methods that consider vulnerability-based risk assessment and mitigation to enhance security controls considering limited security budget. Moreover, we can evaluate the security cost allocation strategies based on security vulnerability measurement that consider the security weight.
A cloud system has to deal with highly variable workloads resulting from dynamic usage patterns in order to keep the QoS within the predefined SLA. Aside from the aspects regarding services, another emerging concern is to keep the energy consumption at a minimum. This requires the cloud providers to consider energy and performance trade-off when allocating virtualized resources in cloud data centers. In this paper, we propose a resource provisioning approach based on dynamic thresholds to detect the workload level of the host machines. The VM selection policy uses utilization data to choose a VM for migration, while the VM allocation policy designates VMs to a host based on its service reputation. We evaluated our work through simulations and results show that our work outperforms non-power aware methods that don't support migration as well as those based on static thresholds and random selection policy.

Paradigm shift to cloud computing has increased the importance of security. Even though public cloud computing providers such as Amazon, already provides security related service like firewall and identity management services, it is not suitable to protect data in cloud environments. Because in public cloud computing environments do not allow to use client's own security solution nor equipments. In this environments, user are supposed to do something to enhance security by their hands, so the needs of visualized security management arises. To implement visualized security management, developing near realtime data handling & packet classification mechanisms are crucial. The key technical challenges in packet classification is how to classify packet in the manner of unsupervised way without human interactions. To achieve the goal, this paper presents automated packet classification mechanism based on naive-bayesian and packet Chunking techniques, which can identify signature and does machine learning by itself without human intervention.

Internet-based social and interactive video applications have become major constituents of the envisaged applications for next-generation multimedia networks. However, inherently dynamic network conditions, together with varying user expectations, pose many challenges for resource allocation mechanisms for such applications. Yet, in addition to addressing these challenges, service providers must also consider how to mitigate their operational costs (e.g., energy costs, equipment costs) while satisfying the end-user quality of service (QoS) expectations. This paper proposes a heuristic solution to the problem, where the energy incurred by the applications, and the monetary costs associated with the service infrastructure, are minimized while simultaneously maximizing the average end-user QoS. We evaluate the performance of the proposed solution in terms of serving probability, i.e., the likelihood of being able to allocate resources to groups of users, the computation time of the resource allocation process, and the adaptability and sensitivity to dynamic network conditions. The proposed method demonstrates improvements in serving probability of up to 27%, in comparison with greedy resource allocation schemes, and a several-orders-of-magnitude reduction in computation time, compared to the linear programming approach, which significantly reduces the service-interrupted user percentage when operating under variable network conditions.
Users are provided infrastructure such as CPU, memory, network, and storage as IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) service on cloud computing environments. However storage instances cannot support the maximum storage capacity that SQL servers can use, because the capacity of instances provided by service providers is usually limited. In this paper, we propose a method of securing mass storage capacity for SQL servers by sharing network disks with limited storage capacity. We confirmed through experiments that it is possible to secure mass storage capacity, which exceeds the maximum storage capacity provided by an instance with Amazon EBS on Amazon EC2 Windows environments, and it is possible to improve the overall performance of the SQL servers by increasing the disk capacity and performance.

Today, the activities of individuals and corporations are dependent not only on digital technology but also on the future of society, which is referred to as the fourth industrial revolution. Since the traces that arise from the crimes that occur in the digital society are also inevitably developed into a society that should be found in the digital, the judicial dependence of judging by the digital evidence is inevitably increased in the criminal procedure. On the other hand, considering the fact that many users are using virtual shared computing resources of service providers considering the fact that they are being converted into a cloud computing environment system, searching for evidence in cloud computing resources is not related to crime. The possibility of infringing on the basic rights of the criminal procedure is increased, so that the ability of evidence of digital data which can be used in the criminal procedure is limited. Therefore, considering these two aspects of digital evidence, this point should be fully taken into account in judging the evidence ability in the post-seizure warrant issuance and execution stage as well as the pre-emptive control. There is a view that dictionary control is useless, but it needs to be done with lenient control in order to materialize post-modern control through judging ability of evidence. In other words, more efforts are needed than ever before, including legislation to ensure proper criminal procedures in line with the digital age.

Radio base stations, which are widely distributed across large areas, have many difficulties in managing them. Unmanned radio base stations in remote mountains are having a hard time accessing them in case of emergencies. Major telephone service providers only remotely control incoming and outgoing information and local small business partners responsible for maintaining actual facilities do not possess such technologies, so they are each checked during field visits. In this study, in order to monitor temperature, humidity, fire condition, and power operation at a wide range of radio base stations, real-time monitoring is carried out at the office of Klaus server through real-time monitoring.
