  • Recently adoption of the Green IT is regarded as an essential element in order to decrease server heat and save energy in data center because of continuous increase of energy consumption and energy price. Consequently the conventional IT infrastructure is replaced with cloud computing platform. In this paper, we have implemented a Linux virtual server load balancing in open source-based cloud platform and the performance of the LVS load balancing is analyzed.

  • Recently, with the enlargement of cloud computing, virtual desktop infrastructure(VDI) can be an alternative of the existing personal computer based information environment. For the case of partially introduced VDI coexisting with personal computer environment, we suggest a virtual folder based approach to control the overall digital contents within an organization with a case of implementation. Although a centralizing device was used for storage and sharing of organization's digital contents, it was not easy to accomplish centralizing digital contents completely. It is tried to prevent users from utilizing their own storage in their personal computers or virtual machines and to use virtual folder which transfer and store digital contents to and in EDMS. The virtual folder system of this paper looks like a real folder in a personal computer, but it is another virtual device for outer storage devices including EDMS. It can be an alternative and reference of digital contents control for future applications of cloud computing.

  • The cloud computing evolution has brought us increasing necessity to manage virtual resources. For this reason, Kubernetes has developed to realize autonomous resource management in a large scale. It provides cloud computing infrastructure to handle cluster creations and deletions in a secure virtual computing environment. In the paper, we provide a monitoring scheme in which users can observe securely encrypted protocols while each Kubernetes component exchanges their packets. Eventually, users can utilize the proposed scheme for debugging as well as monitoring.

  • Recently, the threat to the security and damage of important data leaked by devices of intranet infected by malicious code through the Internet have been increasing. Therefore, the partitioned intranet model that blocks access to the server for business use by implementing authentication of devices connected to the intranet is required. For this, logical net partition with the VDI(Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) method is no information exchange between physical devices connected to the intranet and the virtual device so that it could prevent data leakage and improve security but it is vulnerable to the attack to expose internal data, which has access to the server for business connecting a nonregistered device into the intranet. In order to protect the server for business, we suggest a blockchain based network partition model applying blockchain technology to VDI. It contributes to decrease in threat to expose internal data by improving not only capability to verify forgery of devices, which is the vulnerability of the VDI based logical net partition, but also the integrity of the devices.

  • Recently, almost all data has stored and managed in the shape of digital as development of IT infrastructure. Digital data is able to store the huge data in very small space. but if the disk should be stolen or lost, it would have many secure problems such as data leakage. Currently, digital data is protected by encryption method to prevent data leakage. However, the encryption method is not enough to protect data because the performance of attack system is higher and the attack methods is various. Therefore, there is a need for a new advanced data protection method. To solve secure problems, many research has been progressed like Cloud Shredder, which distributes data and then store. In this paper, We found out the problem of the Cloud Shredder and proposed an advanced method of digital data protection to solve those problem.

  • The interaction between wireless sensors such as Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud is a new paradigm of communication virtualization to overcome resource and efficiency restriction. Cloud computing provides unlimited platform, resources, services and also covers almost every area of computing. On the other hand, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) has gained attention for their potential supports and attractive solutions such as IoT, environment monitoring, healthcare, military, critical infrastructure monitoring, home and industrial automation, transportation, business, etc. Besides, our virtual groups and social networks are in main role of information sharing. However, this sensor network lacks resource, storage capacity and computational power along with extensibility, fault-tolerance, reliability and openness. These data are not available to community groups or cloud environment for general purpose research or utilization yet. If we reduce the gap between real and virtual world by adding this WSN driven data to cloud environment and virtual communities, then it can gain a remarkable attention from all over, along with giving us the benefit in various sectors. We have proposed a Pub/Sub-based sensor virtualization framework Cloud environment. This integration provides resource, service, and storage with sensor driven data to the community. We have virtualized physical sensors as virtual sensors on cloud computing, while this middleware and virtual sensors are provisioned automatically to end users whenever they required. Our architecture provides service to end users without being concerned about its implementation details. Furthermore, we have proposed an efficient content-based event matching algorithm to analyze subscriptions and to publish proper contents in a cost-effective manner. We have evaluated our algorithm which shows better performance while comparing to that of previously proposed algorithms.

  • Cloud services is recognized the essential IT infrastructure in the optimal smart society which is changing rapidly as a low-cost and high-efficiency. This service of starting from prominent overseas companies such as Google, Amazon, had influenced on the introduction of the service for the various policies of foreign governments, including the United States and the United Kingdom. Such countries adopt to the cloud computing and make transform to the cloud service of existing public service for the effective management of information resources. In this study, we propose a model for adoption of appropriate cloud-based public services in Korea through analyzing the foreign government case of adoption of cloud services.

  • Cloud storage becomes a new trend that more and more users move their data to cloud storage servers (CSSs). To ensure the security of cloud storage, many cloud auditing schemes are proposed to check the integrity of users' cloud data. However, most of them are based on public key infrastructure, which leads to complex certificates management and verification. Besides, most existing auditing schemes are inefficient when user uploads a large amount of data or a third party auditor (TPA) performs auditing for multiple users' data on different CSSs. To overcome these problems, in this paper, we propose an efficient and secure auditing scheme based on identity-based cryptography. To relieve user's computation burden, we introduce a proxy, which is delegated to generate and upload homomorphic verifiable tags for user. We extend our auditing scheme to support auditing for dynamic data operations. We further extend it to support batch auditing in multiple users and multiple CSSs setting, which is practical and efficient in large scale cloud storage system. Extensive security analysis shows that our scheme is provably secure in random oracle model. Performance analysis demonstrates that our scheme is highly efficient, especially reducing the computation cost of proxy and TPA.

  • Recently, as cloud computing technologies are developed, it enable to work anytime and anywhere by smart phone and computer. Also, cloud computing technologies are suited to reduce costs of maintaining IT infrastructure and initial investment, so cloud computing has been developed. As demand about cloud computing has risen sharply, problems of power consumption are occurred to maintain the environment of data center. To solve the problem, first of all, power consumption has been measured. Although using power meter to measure power consumption obtain accurate power consumption, extra cost is incurred. Thus, we propose prediction method about power consumption without power meter. To proving accuracy about proposed method, we perform CPU and Hard disk test on cloud computing environment. During the tests, we obtain both predictive value by proposed method and actual value by power meter, and we calculate error rate. As a result, error rate of predictive value and actual value shows about 4.22% in CPU test and about 8.51% in Hard disk test.
