임상간호사의 학습민첩성, 그릿, 긍정심리자본이 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Learning Agility, Grit, and Positive Psychological Capital on the Performance of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The goals of this study were to identify the relationships among learning agility, grit, positive psychological capital, and nursing performance and to determine the impact of these factors on clinical nursing performance. Methods: Between November and December 2021, a descriptive survey design was conducted with a convenience sample of 260 clinical nurse participants from two regional hospitals. Data were collected using the Learning Agility Scale, Grit Scale, Psychological Capital Questionnaire, and the Nursing Performance Scale. Data from 248 nurses were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation, and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 27.0. Results: Results revealed significant positive correlations between nursing performance and learning agility, grit, and positive psychological capital. Stepwise multiple regression analysis identified positive psychological capital as the strongest predictor of nursing performance, followed by work experience, learning agility, grit, and educational level. These variables accounted for 51% of the variance in nursing performance. Conclusion: This study underscored the importance of positive psychological capital, learning agility, and grit in improving nursing performance. Healthcare organizations should prioritize the development of these attributes among nurses. Implementing strategies to enhance these factors in nursing practice and education could improve nursing performance, potentially resulting in better patient outcomes and increased job satisfaction. Future research should explore specific interventions to cultivate these qualities and assess their long-term impact on nursing practice.

한국형 간호그룹파워 도구의 타당성 재검증 및 직위별 간호그룹파워와 직무만족 조직몰입, 조직성과와의 관계 (Validity Test of K-SKAGOAO for Korean Nursing Groups and the Relationship of Nursing Group Power and Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment, Organizational Performance)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to test validity and reliability of the Korean-Sieloff King Assessment of Group Outcome Attainment within organization in Korea (K-SKAGOAO), and also to explore the relationship of Korean nursing group power and job satisfaction, organizational commitment, organizational performance. Methods: Participants were 481 nurse managers, nurse unit managers or staff nurses with over 7 years experience. Data were collected by post mail and analyzed using descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis test, Tukey test, and Spearman's correlation. Results: Content Validity Index was over .82 and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient for the K-SKAGOAO was .97. The mean score for Korean nursing group power was 136.77 among the total participants, 139.89 among nurse managers, 136.74 among nurse unit managers and 132.47 among staff nurses. These results showed high nursing group power in Korea nursing organization in hospitals. There was also a significant difference according to nurse position (p=.003). Korean nursing group power was positively related to job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational performance. Conclusion: Findings show that the K-SKAGOAO has validity and reliability. Nursing groups can use the K-SKAGOAO to evaluate the nursing group power of each nursing organization and to develop strategies to improve nursing power and nursing outcomes.

신생아중환자실 간호사가 인식한 간호업무의 중요도와 수행 자신감 (Analysis of the importance of nursing care and performance confidence perceived by nurses in the neonatal intensive care unit)

  • Purpose: Neonatal nurses are expected to have clinical competency to provide qualified and safe care for high-risk infants. An educational intervention to enhance nurses' clinical competence is often a priority in the nursing field. This study was conducted to explore nurses' perceived importance and performance confidence of nursing care activities in neonatal intensive care units. Methods: One hundred forty-one neonatal nurses from seven hospitals across South Korea participated in the online survey study. The scale of neonatal nursing care activity consisted of 8 subdomains including professional practice (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, education, research, and leadership). The Importance-Performance Matrix was used to analyze the importance of and confident performance in each of the nursing subdomains. Results: Both importance and performance confidence increased as nurses' age (p=.042 and p<.001) and clinical experience (p=.004 and p<.001). Participants scored relatively higher in importance and performance confidence in the professional practice subdomains (assessment, intervention, evaluation), but scored lower in the education and research subdomains. Conclusion: To provide evidence-based nursing care for high-risk infants in neonatal intensive care units, educational interventions should be developed to support nurses based on the findings of the research.

암환자를 돌보는 간호사의 임종간호수행에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Predictors of Terminal Care Performance of Clinical Nurses for Cancer Patients)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the influences of death perception, terminal care attitude on clinical nurses' terminal care performance for cancer patients. Methods: Data were collected through self-reported questionnaires filled by 526 nurses at a General Hospital in Seoul. Data were analyzed using a multiple regression analysis. Results: Death perception showed a positive correlation with terminal care attitude (r = .45, p < .001), while there was no correlation with terminal care performance. Additionally, terminal care attitude had a positive correlation with terminal care performance (r = .18, p < .001). The explanatory power of nurses' death perception and terminal care attitude toward terminal care performance was 14%. Conclusions: The study results imply that nurses' death perception and terminal care attitude are significant variables affecting terminal care performance.

신규간호사의 간호실무준비도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (The factors influencing the nursing practice readiness of new graduate nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing the nursing practice readiness of newly graduated nurses. Methods: The participants were 120 new nurses with 1 to 12 months of work experience at two tertiary hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The data were collected through an online questionnaire from February 6 to April 30, 2023. The collected data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS 25 program, and the independent t-test, Mann-Whitney U-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and a multiple regression analysis were performed. Results: The participants' nursing practice readiness was found to be positively correlated with their confidence in core nursing skill performance, satisfaction with clinical practice, satisfaction concerning simulation education, satisfaction regarding preceptorship, length of preceptorship and length of current unit placement. The regression analysis showed that the significant variables affecting nursing practice readiness were confidence in core nursing skill performance and satisfaction with clinical practice, and the explanatory power of the variables on nursing practice readiness was 36.0%. Conclusion: In order for newly graduated nurses to achieve nursing practice readiness, it is necessary to develop a nursing education program that can improve their confidence in core nursing skills performance and satisfaction with clinical practice in the nursing college curriculum and further research on the factors affecting nursing practice readiness is needed.

간호대학생들을 위한 시뮬레이션 교육프로그램 개발 및 적용효과 (Development and Effects of Simulation Educational Program for Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생들을 대상으로 임상 시나리오를 적용한 고충실도 시뮬레이션을 진행하여 교육효과를 확인하고자 시도되었다. 비동등성 대조군 전후설계의 유사 실험 연구로 실험군 43명, 대조군 39명의 연구대상자에게 2013년 9월 26일부터 11월 9일까지 8주 동안 총 5회에 걸쳐 진행되었다. 실험군과 대조군에게 표준화 환자를 활용하여 임상수행능력을 측정하고, 임상판단력은 Lasater의 rubric으로 관찰을 통해 측정하였으며 설문지를 통해 비판적 사고성향을 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 20.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과는 시뮬레이션 교육프로그램을 적용한 실험군이 대조군보다 임상수행능력 점수(F=211.15, p<.001), 비판적 사고성향 점수(t=3.00, p<.004), 임상판단력 점수(t=7.61, p<.001) 모두 통계적으로 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 결론적으로 간호대학생들을 위한 시뮬레이션 교육프로그램 개발과 적용은 반복된 토의 및 술기 연습과 디브리핑 과정을 통해 임상수행능력, 비판적 사고성향과 임상판단력을 증진시키는데 유의미한 효과가 있었다.

MicroSim(R)을 병용한 시뮬레이션기반 중환자간호교육의 운영 및 평가 (Implementation and Evaluation of Simulation Based Critical Care Nursing Education Used with MicroSim(R))

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the results after implementing a simulation based critical care nursing education with $MicroSim^{(R)}$. Method: Simulation based education was used for a clinical scenario on a patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) and acute coronary syndrome(ACS). Self-learning program was used for an acute asthma attack and acute myocardial infarction(AMI) in the $MicroSim^{(R)}$. A total of 97 nursing students were chosen. A pretest and posttest was conducted to evaluate learning achievement, clinical performance ability and self-directed learning. Result: Learning achievement and clinical performance ability significantly increased but self-directed learning did not. Conclusion: Simulation based education used with $MicroSim^{(R)}$ was useful for improving learning achievement and clinical performance ability of nursing students. Further studies are needed to compare the effects of simulation based education.

임상판단 평가도구의 신뢰도 및 타당도 검증 (The Reliability and Validity of the Lasater Clinical Judgement Rubric in Korean Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was done to evaluate the Lasater Clinical Judgement Rubric for use with Korean nursing students. Methods: A methodological study was used to validate the rubric developed by Lasater to assess clinical judgment during nursing simulation. Participants were 34 nursing students at K University in Seoul. Between February and May, 2012, analysis was done of 91 video clips recording performance during simulation. Results: Findings showed reliability and validity of the rubric. For internal consistency, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ score was .884 and intraclass correlation coefficient was .839, which established reliability. The rubric was validated using the exploratory factor analysis and content validity. The content validity score was 83%, establishing the appropriateness and readiness of the tool. Factor analysis showed that noticing, responding, and reflecting domains had Eigen values of 2.669, 1.991, and 2.912, respectively and were bound, but unlike the original tool in which four factors noticing, interpretation, responding, and reflecting domains were bound. Conclusion: Results of the study indicate that the rubric shows acceptable reliability and validity in Korean nursing students. This evaluation tool for nursing simulation allows nursing faculty to objectively evaluate students' clinical judgment as well as students to reflect on their clinical judgment process during simulation.

간호사와 간호대학생의 좋은 수업에 대한 인식 (Nurses and Nursing Students' Recognition of Good Instruction)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify and assess from nursing students and nurses in the clinical field what constitute good instruction, through the review of nursing students' opinions and clinical field demands. Methods: The study design was used Creswell's exploratory sequential design by collecting and analyzing qualitative data obtained from interviews and then analysis of quantitative data. The participations were 79 seniors in nursing schools and 85 nurses with less than three years of clinical experience. The data were collected through individual interviews and analyzed based on Elo and Kyngas's content analysis method. The quantitative data were collected using the questionnaire developed based on qualitative results and analyzed by SPSS 23.0 program and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Results: The results showed that IPA extracted seven items with high importance but low satisfaction: "nursing fads and trends," "teacher-learner communication and reflection," "materials used in clinical settings such as monitoring results and test results," "special presentations by experienced practitioners," "instruction assures learners' comprehension," "accurate and detailed evaluation standards" and "feedback on homework and exam." Conclusion: The factors comprising good instruction were verified, and the necessity for additional efforts to improve high importance and low performance factors was noted. Therefore, this study can serve as a guide for nursing education facilities and educators in developing of a thorough education system with excellent instruction designed to achieve an ideal nursing education.

통합시뮬레이션 실습 교육이 간호대학생의 의사소통능력, 학습자신감, 임상추론역량, 임상수행능력에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Integrated-Simulation Practice Education on Nursing Students' Communication Ability, Learning Confidence, Clinical Reasoning Competence, and Clinical Performance)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 통합시뮬레이션 실습 교육이 의사소통능력, 학습자신감, 임상추론역량, 임상수행능력에 미치는 효과를 파악하고자 시도된 단일군 사전·사후 유사실험연구이다. 연구대상은 G광역시에 소재한 일개 대학의 4학년 간호대학생 41명으로 2023년 9월부터 11월까지 9주간 운영되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0을 이용하여 기술통계, paired t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient로 분석하였으며 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시뮬레이션 실습 교육 후 학습자신감(t=-2.21, p=.033), 임상추론역량(t=-2.97, p=.005), 임상수행능력(t=-2.84, p=.007)은 유의미한 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으나 의사소통능력은 유의미한 차이를 나타내지 않았다(t=-.224, p=.824). 둘째, 간호대학생의 시뮬레이션 수업 후 임상수행능력은 의사소통능력(r=.650, p<.001), 학습자신감(r=.440, p<.001), 임상추론역량(r=.824, p<.001)와 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 간호대학생의 통합시뮬레이션 실습 교육은 간호대학생의 학습자신감과 임상추론역량, 임상수행능력 향상에 효과적인 교육방법이며 간호대학생의 임상수행능력을 높이기 위해서는 다양한 시나리오를 통한 시뮬레이션 실습 운영이 필요하다.
