Web-based Monitoring System for Mold Manufacturing Process by Indirect Measurement of Cutting Force (절삭력 간접 측정을 통한 웹기반 금형가공공정 감시 시스템)

  • In this paper, the web-based monitoring system is developed for the effective process monitoring of mold manufacturing using web. In developed system, the cutting force for monitoring the manufacturing condition is measured using hall-sensor that is low cost and useful to be installed in a machine tool indirectly. Specially, the current of main spindle in a machine tool is converted into cutting force by various experiments. For effective web-based monitoring, the program which runs in the local computer of client is made to exchange message between a server and a client by making of ActiveX control and the result of manufacturing is shown on web-browser by Ch language. The developed system in this study is the foundation of establishing E-manufacturing in mold factory.

  • In this paper, we have designed a Fingerprint Recognition System based on the Embedded LINUX. The fingerprint is captured using the AS-S2 semiconductor sensor. To extract a feature vector we transform the image of the fingerprint into a column vector. The image is row-wise filtered with the low-pass filter of the Haar wavelet. The feature vectors of the different fingerprints are compared by computing with the probabilistic neural network the distance between the target feature vector and the stored feature vectors in advance. The system implemented consists of a server PC based on the LINUX and a client based on the Embedded LINUX. The client is a Tynux box-x board using a PXA-255 CPU. The algorithm is simple and fast in computing and comparing the fingerprints.

A Case Study of Sandplay Therapy for a Middle-aged Woman Who Goes the Way of Individuation Through Conflicts with an Adolescent Son (청소년 아들과 갈등하며 개성화의 길을 가는 중년여성의 모래놀이치료 사례연구)

  • This study explored a sandplay therapy case of a woman maturing through conflicts with an adolescent son. The goal of the therapy was to relieve her from conflicts with going through individuation process under a free and protected space in sandplay therapy. Forty-six therapy sessions were held. The client exhibited that she needed a conversation with her feminity and maternity in the initial phase of therapy (1-5, regression). In the intermediate phase of therapy (6-43, struggle), she displayed the scenes of meeting of opposites, shadow, death, nurturing and integration of opposites. In the final phase of therapy (44-46, transformation), she showed the acception of her life with leaving her situations to God. Through sandplay therapy in the free and protected space, this study showed the effectiveness of sandplay therapy since the client achieved individuation by showing the acceptance of her life and could control her enraged feelings.

  • The Quality of embedded system depends on the embedded software. As the complexity and the size of embedded software have been increasing, it is more likely that the software may include faults, and the reliability and stability issues are getting more important. In this paper, we propose a remote test tool for software based on VxWorks by using fault injection method. The test tool consists of test server and test client for testing on the cross development environment. The test server operates in the host system and user can not only test but also monitor the software by using it. The test client operates in the target system and it controls kernel objects and sends the input data into the software when receiving the control and data from the test server. We developed the prototype software and demonstrated the ability of testing software robustness by injecting faults.

  • Polishing a die that has free-form surfaces is a time-consuming and tedious job, and requires a considerable amount of high-precision skill. Some workers tend to gradually avoid the polishing work because of the poor working conditions caused by dust and noise.   • Internet provides the useful method to monitor the current states of the machine tool no matter where a personnel is monitoring them. In this paper, a monitoring method of the torque of the machine tool's spindle induction motor using internet is suggested. The torque of vector controlled induction motor is estimated without speed measuring sensor. Only stator currents are measured to estimate the magnetizing current which is used to calculate flux linkage, rotor velocity and motor torque. Graphical programming is used to implement the suggested algorithm, to monitor the torque of an induction motor in real time and to make the estimated torque monitored on client computers. To solve the fluctuation problem of estimated torque caused from instantly varying rotating speed of an induction motor, the rotating speed is reconstructed based on the measured current signals. Mechanical part of the machine tool is also reconstructed using the data obtained from preliminary experiments. Torque of the spindle induction motor is well monitored on the client computers with 3% error range under various cutting conditions.

  • MMI 시스템은 제철 공정에서 발생되는 다양한 데이터를 조업자에게 쉽고 빠르게 전달하기 위해, real time operating system에서 동작하는 제철공정의 주된 제어 프로세스와 인터페이스 한다. 따라서 MMI 시스템은 제철 공정의 주된 제어 프로세스와 ethernet network을 통해 공유 데이터들을 통신하도록 개발되고, MMI 시스템은 M/S window operating system과 DDE(Dynamic Data Exchange) 라이브러리 환경을 기반으로 개발된다. 수 개의 MMI client PC와 1 개의 MMI server로 구성되는 MMI 시스템은 MMI client들 사이의 공유 데이터가 동기화될 수 있도록 최적 packet 양을 도출하고, 신뢰성 높은 데이터 전송을 위한 특별한 데이터 핸들링 방법을 사용한다. MMI 시스템은 GUI(Graphic User Interface)를 사용하여 조업자에게 친숙한 window 화면을 제공하므로, MMI 시스템의 화면 수정, 첨가 및 삭제가 비용 부담없이 용이하게 진행되므로, 기존 제철 공정에서 사용하던 OCP(Operating Control Panel)들이 MMI 시스템으로 대체되고 있다.

  • In this paper, an interface method for MMS on ATM networks is proposed. It can apply to the realtime communication and the remote control in wide-area manufacturing complex and virtual factory. It is used for the downloading program, the reporting and gathering of data and the remote control for the remote client. The developed interface rule is basd on the rule for MMS on TCP/IP. The main goals of implementation are to verify whether MMS on ATM is able to meet the requirements of factory automation and manufacturing complex.

  • 본 논문에서는 I/O 인터페이스 제어 보드와 ISA 인터페이스 제어 보드, 그리고 레고 기반의 프로토타입을 통해 실시간 신발 공정 컨베이어 제어를 위한 원격 감시 및 제어 시스템을 구현하였다. 컨베이어를 실시간으로 제어하기 위하여 작업의 우선권을 사용자가 정할 수 있는 RTLinux를 사용하였으며, RTLinux 기반으로 디바이스 드라이브를 작성하였다. Client/server분산환경의 웹을 기반으로 실시간 시스템의 구현 및 테스트를 통해 프로토타입의 작동을 확인한다.
