Recently, realization of an intelligent cooperative interaction system between a man and robot systems is required. In this paper, HyperCard with a voice control is used for above system because of its easy handling and excellent human interfaces. Clicking buttons in the HyperCard by a mouse device or a voice command means controlling each joint of a robot system. Robot teaching operation of grasping a bin and pouring liquid in it into a cup is carried out. This robot teaching method using HyperCard provides a foundation for realizing a user friendly cooperative interaction system.
Gaze detection is to find out the position on a monitor screen where a user is looking at, using the image processing and computer vision technology, We developed a computer interface system using the gaze detection technology, This system enables a user to control the computer system without using their hands. So this system will help the handicapped to use a computer and is also useful for the man whose hands are busy doing another job, especially in tasks in factory. For the practical use, command signal like mouse clicking is necessary and we used eye winking to give this command signal to the system.

The temporomandibular joint was evaluated using magnetic resonance imaging using a urface coil in 11 patients having reciprocal clicking or locking and compared with the normal joint in five subjects. Serial multisection 3㎜-thick parasagittal, paracoronal, and axial image on both closing and opening mouth were obtained with a 1.5 Tesla MR system and surface coil using CSMEMP, GRASS, MPGR, powerful extensions of fast imaging that is currently under clinical evaluation. MR images obtained were analized correlating with the theory of internal derangement. The obtained results were as follows: 1. The serial findings of structures in joint were determined on the serially sectioned images of joint with reciprocal clicking or locking by CSMEMP and MPGR on closing mouth. 2. The delta shaped white images of synovial fluid in the glenoid fossa and on the posterior surface of condyle were revealed on the parasagittal images by MPGR on opening mouth as in the normal joints. 3. The white image of joint fluid surrounding meniscus was recognized on the paracoronal image by GRASS on opening mouth as in the normal joints. 4. In joints having temporomandibular dysfunction the smooth image of displaced meniscus was recognized, but otherwise in the normal joints the image of muscle was noted on the paracoronal image sectioned at the anterior portion of condyle by GRASS. 5. The more thickened fascial plane between superior and inferior belly of lateral pterygoid muscle was not recognizable in joints having temporomandibular dysfunction than in the normal joints.

The author obtained the computed tomograms around the condylar head from 10 normal subjects and 5 patients having clicking condylar head from 10 normal subjects and 5 patients having clicking sound or limitation of mouth opening by using a Hitachi-W 500. And then. the author had the axial analysis of condyle position and sagittal analysis of that after sagittal reformation on centric occlusion and 18㎜ interincisal opening. Transcranial view and submentovertex view were taken and compared with computed tomographic view. The obtained results were as follows: 1. Median angle of long axis of condylar head was 17 degrees on centric occlusion and the angles of long axis of both condylar heads were reduced symmetrically on 18㎜ interincisal opening in normal group. however. in the patient group, the affected side of condyle heads showed greater change in the angle on 18㎜ interincisal opening. 2. In the patient group, the condyle head of affected side was located superiorly to that of normal side on centric occlusion and the discrepancy of condular positional height was increased after 18㎜ interincisal opening. 3. The distances from medial pole of condylar head to triangular fossa of temporal bone were same on both right and left side in normal group, however, in the patient group, the distance of affected side was wider than that of opposite side on centric occusion and became narrower than the opposite side on 18㎜ interincisal opening. 4. The distances of posterior joint space were same on both right and left side. The distance t lateral pole 1/3 of condyle head was similar to that on transcranial view on centric occlusion in normal group. 5. The distances of posterior joint space were narrower in patient group than in normal group. 6. Conclusively, the affected condylar head of patient showed postero-latero-superior displacement on centric occlusion and larger range of rotational movement on 18㎜ interincisal opening.
This paper is related to a skinny smudge tool based on the image segmentation for a master shape. The smudge tool is the popular graphic tool embedded in Adobe Photoshop. The smudge tool is used to smear paint on your canvas. The effect is much like finger painting. You can use the smudge tool by clicking on the smudge icon and clicking on the canvas and while holding the mouse button down, dragging in the direction you want to smudge. A disadvantage of previous smudge tool is to also smear pixels in the undesired region according to generating the target image as blending all pixels in a diameter of the master. In this paper to reduce the disadvantage, the skinny smudge tool based on the image segmentation for a master shape is proposed. The proposed skinny smudge tool has the advantage of applying the smudge effect to the desired regions regardless of the background as the master shape adhered closely to the contour shape is extracted by color image segmentation.

In this research, we designed the head mouse system for disabled and gamers, a mouse controller which can be controlled by head movements and eye blinks only, and compared its performance with other regular mouse controller systems. The head mouse was moved by a gyro-sensor, which can measure an angular rotation of a head movement, and the eye blink was used as a clicking event of the mouse system. Accumulated errors caused by integral, which was a problem that previous head mouse system had, were removed periodically, and treated as dead zones in the non-linear relative point graph, and direct mouse point control was possible using its moving distance and acceleration calculation. We used the active light sources to minimize the influence of the ambient light changes, so that the head mouse was not affected by the change in external light source. In a comparison between the head mouse and the gazing tracking mouse (Quick Glance), the above method resulted about 21% higher score on the clicking event experiment called "20 clicks", about 25% higher on the dasher experiment, and about 37% higher on on-screen keyboard test respectively, which concludes that the proposed head mouse has better performance than the standard mouse system.

It is estimated that, in the twenty-first century, 70% of global citizens will live in urban areas. This accelerated urbanization will require a greater need for the building DEM and orthoimagery along with Geographic Information System for urban management. The building DEM requires the detection of outlines showing building shapes. To do this, automatic and semiautomatic building extractions are usually used. However, in cases where automatic extraction is performed directly from the aerial images, accurate building outline extraction is very difficult because of shadow, roof color, and neighboring trees making it hard to discern building roofs. To overcome this problem semiautomatic building extraction was suggested in this paper. When a roof texture was homogeneous, building outline detection was performed by mouse-clicking on a part of the roof. To construct the building outlines when the texture was not homogeneous, a computer program was developed to search out corner points by clicking spots near corner points. The building DEM was generated by taking into account building outlines and heights calculated by image matching.
This paper presents the findings of a study in which students at a four-year university were surveyed in an effort to analyze and verify the differences in perceived security awareness, security-related activities, and security damage experiences when using smartphones, based on demographic variables such as gender, academic year, and college major. Moreover, the perceived security awareness items and security-related activities were tested to verify whether they affect the students' security damage experience. Based on survey data obtained from 592 participants, the findings indicate that demographic differences exist for some of the survey question items. The majority of the male students replied "affirmative" to some of the questions related to perceived security awareness and "enthusiastic" to questions about security-related activities. Some academic year differences exist in the responses to perceived security awareness and security-related activities. On the whole, freshmen had the lowest level of security awareness. Security alert seems to be very high in sophomores, but it decreases as the students become older. While the difference in perceived security awareness based on college major was not significant, the difference in some security-related activities based on that variable was significant. No significant difference was found in some items such as storing private information in smartphones and frequency of implementation of security applications based on the college major variable. However, differences among the college majors were verified in clicking hyperlinks in unknown SMS messages and in the number of security applications in smartphones. No differences were found in security damage experiences based on gender, academic year, and college major. Security awareness items had no impact on the experience of security damage in smartphones. However, some security activities, such as storing resident registration numbers in a smartphone, clicking hyperlinks in unknown SMS messages, the number of security apps in a smartphone, and the frequency of implementation of security apps did have an impact on security damage.
Objective: This study investigated the relationship between orthodontic treatment and temporomandibular disorders (TMD) in South Korean population. Methods: This study obtained data from the 2012 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. The final sample size was 5,567 participants who were ${\geq}19$ years of age. Logistic regression analysis was performed to evaluate the relationship between orthodontic treatment and TMD. Results: Participants who underwent orthodontic treatment showed higher educational level, lower body mass index, reduced chewing difficulty, and reduced speaking difficulty. The adjusted odds ratios (ORs) and their 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for orthodontic treatment and TMD were 1.614 (1.189-2.190), 1.573 (1.162-2.129) and 1.612 (1.182-2.196) after adjusting for age, sex and psychosocial factors. Adjusted ORs and their 95% CIs for orthodontic treatment and clicking were 1.778 (1.289-2.454), 1.742 (1.265-2.400) and 1.770 (1.280-2.449) after adjusting for confounding factors. However, temporomandibular joint pain and functional impairment was not associated with orthodontic treatment. Conclusions: Temporomandibular joint pain and dysfunction was not associated with orthodontic treatment.
