When we inspect scaffold defect using sight, inspecting performance is decrease and inspecting time is increase. We need for automatically scaffold defect detection method to increase detection accuracy and reduce detection times. In this paper. We produced scaffold defect classification models using densenet, alexnet, vggnet algorithms based on CNN. We photographed scaffold using multi dimension camera. We learned scaffold defect classification model using photographed scaffold images. We evaluated the scaffold defect classification accuracy of each models. As result of evaluation, the defect classification performance using densenet algorithm was at 99.1%. The defect classification performance using VGGnet algorithm was at 98.3%. The defect classification performance using Alexnet algorithm was at 96.8%. We were able to quantitatively compare defect classification performance of three type algorithms based on CNN.
In this paper, we construct and compare various guitar chord classification systems using perceptron neural network and convolutional neural network without pre-processing other than Fourier transform to identify the optimal chord classification system. Conventional guitar chord classification schemes use, for better feature extraction, computationally demanding pre-processing techniques such as stochastic analysis employing a hidden markov model or an acoustic data filtering and hence are burdensome for real-time chord classifications. For this reason, we construct various perceptron neural networks and convolutional neural networks that use only Fourier tranform for data pre-processing and compare them with dataset obtained by playing an electric guitar. According to our comparison, convolutional neural networks provide optimal performance considering both chord classification acurracy and fast processing time. In particular, convolutional neural networks exhibit robust performance even when only small fraction of low frequency components of the data are used.
Classification algorithms generally assume that the data is complete. However, missing values are common in real data sets due to various reasons. In this paper, we propose to use locally linear reconstruction (LLR) for missing value imputation to improve the classification performance when missing values exist. We first investigate how much missing values degenerate the classification performance with regard to various missing ratios. Then, we compare the proposed missing value imputation (LLR) with three well-known single imputation methods over three different classifiers using eight data sets. The experimental results showed that (1) any imputation methods, although some of them are very simple, helped to improve the classification accuracy; (2) among the imputation methods, the proposed LLR imputation was the most effective over all missing ratios, and (3) when the missing ratio is relatively high, LLR was outstanding and its classification accuracy was as high as the classification accuracy derived from the compete data set.
The purpose of this study is to classify TIFF images, PNG images, and JPEG images using deep learning, and to compare the accuracy by verifying the classification performance. The TIFF, PNG, and JPEG images converted from chest X-ray DICOM images were applied to five deep neural network models performed in image recognition and classification to compare classification performance. The data consisted of a total of 4,000 X-ray images, which were converted from DICOM images into 16-bit TIFF images and 8-bit PNG and JPEG images. The learning models are CNN models - VGG16, ResNet50, InceptionV3, DenseNet121, and EfficientNetB0. The accuracy of the five convolutional neural network models of TIFF images is 99.86%, 99.86%, 99.99%, 100%, and 99.89%. The accuracy of PNG images is 99.88%, 100%, 99.97%, 99.87%, and 100%. The accuracy of JPEG images is 100%, 100%, 99.96%, 99.89%, and 100%. Validation of classification performance using test data showed 100% in accuracy, precision, recall and F1 score. Our classification results show that when DICOM images are converted to TIFF, PNG, and JPEG images and learned through preprocessing, the learning works well in all formats. In medical imaging research using deep learning, the classification performance is not affected by converting DICOM images into any format.
The purpose of this paper is to develop a new group classification method based on genetic algorithm and to com-pare its prediction performance with those of existing methods in the area of bond rating. To serve this purpose, we conduct various experiments with pilot and general models. Specifically, we first conduct experiments employing two pilot models : the one searching for the cluster center of each group and the other one searching for both the cluster center and the attribute weights in order to maximize classification accuracy. The results from the pilot experiments show that the performance of the latter in terms of classification accuracy ratio is higher than that of the former which provides the rationale of searching for both the cluster center of each group and the attribute weights to improve classification accuracy. With this lesson in mind, we design two generalized models employing genetic algorithm : the one is to maximize the classification accuracy and the other one is to minimize the total misclassification cost. We compare the performance of these two models with those of existing statistical and artificial intelligent models such as MDA, ANN, and Decision Tree, and conclude that the genetic algorithm-based group classification method that we propose in this paper significantly outperforms the other methods in respect of classification accuracy ratio as well as misclassification cost.
With the increasing proliferation of World Wide Web, electronic mail systems have become very widely used communication tools. Researches on e-mail classification have been very important in that e-mail classification system is a major engine for e-mail response management systems which mine unstructured e-mail messages and automatically categorize them. In this research we compare the performance of Naive Bayesian learning and Centroid-Based Classification using the different data set of an on-line shopping mall and a credit card company. We analyze which method performs better under which conditions. We compared classification accuracy of them which depends on structure and size of train set and increasing numbers of class. The experimental results indicate that Naive Bayesian learning performs better, while Centroid-Based Classification is more robust in terms of classification accuracy.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the tokenizer in natural language processing for customer satisfaction in sentiment analysis. Methods: In this study, a supervised learning-based tokenizer Mecab-Ko and an unsupervised learning-based tokenizer SentencePiece were used for comparison. Three algorithms: Naïve Bayes, k-Nearest Neighbor, and Decision Tree were selected to compare the performance of each tokenizer. For performance comparison, three metrics: accuracy, precision, and recall were used in the study. Results: The results of this study are as follows; Through performance evaluation and verification, it was confirmed that SentencePiece shows better classification performance than Mecab-Ko. In order to confirm the robustness of the derived results, independent t-tests were conducted on the evaluation results for the two types of the tokenizer. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the classification performance of the SentencePiece tokenizer was high in the k-Nearest Neighbor and Decision Tree algorithms. In addition, the Decision Tree showed slightly higher accuracy among the three classification algorithms. Conclusion: The SentencePiece tokenizer can be used to classify and interpret customer sentiment based on online reviews in Korean more accurately. In addition, it seems that it is possible to give a specific meaning to a short word or a jargon, which is often used by users when evaluating products but is not defined in advance.

Pixel classification is one of basic issues of image processing. The general characteristics of the pixels belonging to various classes are discussed and the radical principles of pixel classification are given. At the same time, a pixel classification scheme based on image information scales is proposed. The proposed method is overcome that computation amount become greater and contents easily get turned. And image directional scales has excellent anti-noise performance. In the result of experiment. good efficiency is showed compare with other methods.
Purpose: This study proposes a classification model for implementing condition-based maintenance (CBM) by monitoring the real-time status of a machine using acceleration sensor data collected from a vehicle. Methods: The classification model's performance was improved by applying Fourier transform to convert the acceleration sensor data from the time domain to the frequency domain. Additionally, the Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) algorithm was used to augment images and further enhance the classification model's performance. Results: Experimental results demonstrate that the GAN algorithm can effectively serve as an image augmentation technique to enhance the performance of the classification model. Consequently, the proposed approach yielded a significant improvement in the classification model's accuracy. Conclusion: While this study focused on the effectiveness of the GAN algorithm as an image augmentation method, further research is necessary to compare its performance with other image augmentation techniques. Additionally, it is essential to consider the potential for performance degradation due to class imbalance and conduct follow-up studies to address this issue.
In recent years, worldwide production of solar wafers increased rapidly. Therefore, the solar wafer technology in the developed countries already has become an industry, and related industries such as solar wafer manufacturing equipment have developed rapidly. In this paper we propose the color classification method of the polycrystalline solar wafer that needed in manufacturing equipment. The solar wafer produced in the manufacturing process does not have a uniform color. Therefore, the solar wafer panels made with insensitive color uniformity will fall off the aesthetics. Gaussian mixture models (GMM) are among the most statistically mature methods for clustering and we use the Gaussian mixture models for the classification of the polycrystalline solar wafers. In addition, we compare the performance of the color feature vector from various color space for color classification. Experimental results show that the feature vector from YCbCr color space has the most efficient performance and the correct classification rate is 97.4%.
