  • The ZnGa$_2$O$_4$ phosphor target was synthesized through solid-state reactions as calcine and sintering temperature in order to deposit ZnGa$_2$O$_4$ Phosphor thin film by rf magnetron sputtering system. The x-ray diffraction patterns of ZnGa$_2$O$_4$ phosphor target showed the position of (311) main peak. The cathodoluminescence(CL) spectrums of ZnGa$_2$O$_4$ phosphor target showed main peak of 370 nm to 400 nm, and maximum intensity at the calcine temperature of $700^{\circ}C$ and sintering temperature of 130$0^{\circ}C$. It was possible to prepare The ZnGa$_2$O$_4$ phosphor thin film with synthesized ZnGa$_2$O$_4$ phosphor target and The prepared ZnGa$_2$O$_4$ phosphor thin film showed the position of (311) main peak.

  • Green-emitting $Ba_{1.468}Sr_{0.5}SiO_4\;:\;Eu_{0.012},\;Y_{0.02}$ phosphor powders under long-wavelength ultraviolet light were prepared via high-temperature flame spray pyrolysis from spray solutions with and without $NH_4Cl$ flux. The effects of the temperature of the diffusion flame and the $NH_4Cl$ flux on the morphologies, crystal structures and photoluminescence intensities of the $Ba_{1.468}Sr_{0.5}SiO_4\;:\;Eu_{0.012},\;Y_{0.02}$ phosphor powders were investigated. The phosphor powders obtained from the spray solution with the $NH_4Cl$ flux had higher photoluminescence intensities compared to phosphor powders obtained from the spray solution without the flux. The photoluminescence intensity of the phosphor powders obtained from the spray solution without the flux decreased as the flow rate of the fuel gas increased. On the other hand, the photoluminescence intensity of the phosphor powders obtained from the spray solution with the flux increased as the flow rate of the fuel gas increased. The difference of in the phase purity and morphology of the powders affected the photoluminescence intensities of the phosphor powders.

  • Photoconductor for direct detection fiat-panel imager present a great materials challenge, since their requirement include high X-ray absorption, ionization and charge collection, low leakage current and large area deposition, CdTe is practical material. We report studies of detector sensitivity, That is an CdTe with $5{\mu}m$ thickness on glass. That is hybrid layer of depositting ZnS:AgCl phosphor with $100{\mu}m$ on CdTe. The leakage current of hybrid is similar to it of a-Se, but photocurrent is larger than a-Se. Both of them have high spatial resolution, but hybrid has higher sensitivity than a-Se at comparable bias voltage.

  • The nano and micro-sized $ZnGa_2O_4$ phosphor were prepared by precipitation method and solid-state method. The luminescence, formation process and structure of phosphor powders were investigated by means of XRD, SEM and PL. The result of XRD analysis showed that $ZnGa_2O_4$ spinel structure was formed at as-prepared in the case of precipitation method. However, micro-sized phosphor was required high heating treatment to have a satisfactory spinel structure. The CL intensity of nano-sized phosphor was about 4-fold higher than that of micro-sized phosphor. The emission spectra of all $ZnGa_2O_4$ phosphor show a self activated blue emission band at around 420 nm in the wide range of 300~600 nm.

  • $Y_2SiO_5$:Ce was considered as blue phosphor for field emission display because it had an excellent resistance against brightness saturation. But unfortunately It hadn't a sufficient brightness to be applied to FED. In this experiment It-$In_2O_3$, MgO and $SiO_2$ were coated onto $Y_2SiO_5$:Ce phosphor in order to improve the cathodoluminance(CL properties. The coating structures were identified to be the crystalline phases of $In_2O_3$ and MgO respectively. They had fine particle-like shape and were distributed on the surface of $Y_2SiO_5$:Ce phosphor. It was found that the CL efficiency of $Y_2SiO_5$:Ce phosphors were decreased after coatings with In20:j and MgO in voltage range from 500 V to 5 kV. But the brightness of $Y_2SiO_5$:Ce phosphor was increased after coating of 5 0 2 . And also the aging test showed that $In_2O_3$ coating improved the life time of $Y_2SiO_5$:Ce phosphor.

  • In this study, we have synthesized $ZnGa_2O_4$:Mn,X powder doped with Mn, MnO, $MnF_2$ and $MnCl_2$, low voltage green emitting phosphor, in vacuum atmosphere. From PL spectra, the intensity of the emission peak, the brightness with coactivator show that $ZnGa_2O_4$:Mn,Cl > $ZnGa_2O_4$:Mn,F > $ZnGa_2O_4$:Mn,O > $ZnGa_2O_4$:Mn. These improvement of the brightness are caused by the increase of the concentration of $Mn^{2+}$ ion. In case of $ZnGa_2O_4$:Mn,Cl and ZnGa$_2$O$_4$:Mn,F, the brightness is enhanced much more, which is owed to the decrease of defect of host material. For $ZnGa_2O_4$:Mn,Cl phosphor fabricated with optimized condition, the decay time becomes short from 30 ms of the $ZnGa_2O_4$:Mn and $ZnGa_2O_4$:Mn,O to 6 ms and the brightness of CL at 1 kV, 1 mA is 60 cd/$m^2$.

  • The manganese co-doped $Ca_8Mg_1(SiO_4)_4Cl_2:Eu^{2+}$,$Mn^{2+}$ phosphor was synthesized by solid-state reaction and its photoluminescence characteristics were investigated. The synthesized phosphor show two emission spetrums: green band of 512nm and yellow band of 550nm. White light-emitting diodes (LEDs) were fabricated through combination of a 405nm-emitting InGaN chip and a synthesis phosphor in a single package. Under 20mA current, its CIE chromaticity coordinates are x=0.40 and y=0.45 and a color temperature of 4053K.

  • An orange-emitting phosphor for inorganic electroluminescent device has been studied. Cu and Cl were co-doped in Mn-doped ZnS for a high-performing phosphor. The effect of $Mn^{2+}-doping$ concentration as well as $Mg^{2+}-sensitizer$ addition on the luminescence characteristics has been investigated.
