시내버스노선체계 평가를 위한 정량적 지표의 설정 및 적용 (Quantitative Evaluation Indicators for the City Bus Route Network)

  • 도시 내 버스노선체계 개선을 위한 선행작업인 전체노선체계에 대한 합리적이고 형평성 있는 평가를 위한 기준 및 정량적 지표의 설정, 그리고 이를 이용한 평가사례가 제시되었다. 평가기준은 버스이용의 편의성, 운행의 생산성, 그리고 사회적 비용의 최소화라는 3가지 목표에 입각하여 접근성, 승차안락성, 환승률, 노선직결도, 운행생산성, 형평성, 그리고 차량소요대수의 7개 기준으로 설정되었으며 평가지표는 각각의 기준을 나타내는 구체적 측정도구로서의 정량적 모델로 구성되었다. 평가사례는 경기도 시흥시를 대상으로 기존 노선망의 유지를 포함한 4개의 개선대안에 대하여 설정된 7개 평가지표를 산출, 결과를 비교 평가하는 방식을 취하였다. 또한 지표별 평가점수를 선형정규화법에 의하여 표준화함으로서 종합적 평가가 가능하도록 하였다. 평가결과에 따르면, 설정된 지표들은 부분적으로 한계가 있지만 전반적으로 버스노선체계의 구조와 특성을 잘 반영하고 있어 타당성이 충분함을 보여주고 있다. 후속 연구와 관련하여, 설정된 지표 중 접근성 지표와 환승률 지표에 대하여는 좀더 연구가 필요할 것으로 보인다. 또한. 종합적 평가를 위한 지표 값의 표준화와 지표별 가중치 설정에 관한 연구가 이어져야할 것이며, 정책적 측면에서는 각 도시별로 나름대로의 특성과 정책목표에 입각하여 평가체계를 구성하는 노력이 있어야할 것으로 보인다.

만성 경부통을 가진 시내버스 운전기사에게 복합 운동프로그램의 효과 : 사례연구 (The Effects of Combined Exercise Program to Intra-City Bus Driver With Chronic Neck Pain : Case Report)

  • Background: Although many of those who drive for a living are exposed to repetitive and awkward posture and whole body vibration which cause them cumulative trauma disorder, therapeutic studies related to the problems from the transport unit are still somewhat inadequate. The purpose of this case report is to identify the effect of combined exercise program on patients suffering chronic neck pain caused by long hour of intra-city bus driving. Method: A total of 4 subjects are selected as patients, all of whom have more than 10 years of experience in intra-city bus transportation services. These people have suffered from neck pain for years. We ran the combined exercise program 3 times a week for 4 weeks and respectively evaluated the results after the 2nd and 4th week. We implemented conventional physiotherapy for 40 minutes, another 40 minutes of combined exercise program, and then educated the patients to enable themselves to do active stretching program as a home program. The combined exercise program contained 3 different stages. 1st stage: active stretching program, 2nd stage combined stabilization exercise and strengthening exercise, 3rd stage: proprioceptive exercise Result: After 4 weeks of intervention, there was enhance in the range of motion. $12^{\circ}$ increase in flexion, $10^{\circ}$ in extension, $6^{\circ}$ in lateral flexion respectively, and $10^{\circ}$ in rotation on average. VAS(visual analgue scale) decreased by 33% on average, NDI(neck diability index) by 28% and fatigability by 23%. Conclusion: There were improved results in the range of motion, NDI, VAS, and in fatigability after applying combined exercise program to intra-city bus drivers exposed to whole body vibration and cumulative trauma disorder.

Design models of PTIS in a telecommunication point of view, and implementation case at Seoul city (PTIS : Public Transportation Information System)

  • A transportation problem in Korea is a serious issue that has to be solved urgently in the motor era of 15 million vehicles. Recently ITS has been introduced to improve efficiency of the current roads because an excessive budget and a long term construction are needed to build new roads. Therefore the government enacted the law as of ITS and the in architecture. However, these ITS information services were oriented to mainly vehicles and drivers, not public entities such as bus driver, passengers and so on. Nowadays lots of local autonomous city introduced a public transportation information system (PTIS), and providing useful information for the public. For this PTIS, important design issues are to be focused on detecting and tracking technology of moving bus, and a wireless communication link to transmit the location information. This paper presents design models using several wireless communication methods, and an implementation case using a Wireless packet Data communication Network (WDN) to transmit bus location information at Seoul, Korea.

Study on Traffic Convenience of Aged People with Mobility Disadvantage: Focusing on Hanam-eup, Miryang-city, Gyeongsangnam-provance

  • According to the statistics, Korea is expected to reach a super-aged society in 2025. In preparation for an aging society, The government is making efforts to improve in social activity and welfare for the elderly people. But in case of people who live in urban-rural mixed cities, They can not benefit from traffic convenience that is essential in social activities. For example, surveys and interviews show that, The dwellers(65+ of some urban-rural mixed cities) have many restrictions on social activities because of mobility disadvantage. Therefore, We propose that expansion for the people who need to use the voucher taxi, Increase of the public bus service and rebuilding of the bus stop terminal. We are looking forward to this study will be used as basic data for transportation policy of urban-rural mixed cities across the country.

공공디자인에 있어서 이용자와 주변 환경을 고려한 디자인 모델구축 - 버스정류장을 중심으로 (Establishment of design model considering surrounding environment and users in public design - Focused on the bus station)

  • 본 연구는 공공시설물인 버스정류장의 특성을 조사하기 위해 이용자 행동유형(행동조사+선호도)과 관련된 연구를 진행하였다. 세부적인 분석에서는 버스정류장 속성분석과 특성을 조사하기 위해 각 지역자치단체에 설치된 50개의 샘플을 대상으로 수량화 3류(Quantification theory type 3) 분석을 실시하였다. 실험결과 버스정류장은 유동인구가 많음/적음, 기능적인, 단순함의 4개 축과 회사 밀집형 대도시, 지역성이 강한 지방도시, 유동인구가 많은 학교 앞, 한적한 시골마을, 박물관 같은 특정장소, 유동인구가 많은 농촌지역의 특성에 따라 버스정류장의 유형에 차이가 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 위와 같이 본 연구에서는 지역적 특성에 맞도록 시설물 자체의 조형성 이외에도 지역 환경, 이용자 특성 등이 고려된 디자인이 진행될 수 있도록 버스정류장 속성을 종합하여 세부항목을 제시하였다. 또한, 위의 내용을 바탕으로 지역 환경적 특성에 맞는 디자인과 모델이 적용된다면 앞으로 공공시설물로서 이용자에게 보다 긍정적인 평가를 받을 수 있는 공공디자인이 진행될 것이다.

식습관 및 운동 목표 달성의 촉진요인과 방해요인: 시내버스 운전자와 상담 영양사의 포커스그룹 인터뷰 (Facilitators and barriers to achieving dietary and physical activity goals: focus group interviews with city bus drivers and counseling dietitians)

  • Objectives: Our previously published study showed that a workplace nutrition intervention program with personalized goal setting and smartphone-based nutrition counseling improved dietary habits and physical activity in city bus drivers who were overweight/obese. This study explored the facilitators and barriers that participants faced in achieving their dietary and physical activity goals six months after the intervention. Methods: The study included bus drivers and dietitians who participated in the intervention program. Three focus group interviews were conducted with 10 bus drivers (divided by two groups based on their achievement of set goals) and five dietitians who had provided nutrition counseling. Results: Willpower was the most important intrapersonal facilitator for drivers to achieve their goals. Other factors that promoted behavioral changes were nutrition counseling by dietitians, trackable physical activity using smartwatches, and setting of practical and achievable goals. Meanwhile, the most important barriers identified were occupational factors such as long driving hours, short breaks, and shift work. Other barriers were environmental factors such as availability of snackable food, accessibility to convenience stores, and cold weather. Family and colleagues were perceived as both facilitators and barriers. In addition, dietitians identified a lack of knowledge about healthy diet as one of the barriers. Conclusions: Our results suggested that the workplace environment should be improved and that nutrition intervention programs at the workplace could encourage bus drivers to practice healthy eating habits. The facilitators and barriers identified in this study should be considered when planning a nutrition intervention program for bus drivers.

대도시권 버스개편추세에 따른 통근전철의 대응 전략 (An improvement strategy of metropolitan commuter railways according to the reformation of bus system on a metropolitan area)

  • Nowadays, the bus system of a metropolitan area is improving very fast. According to the bus, commuter railways increase their competitive power. For this, trains get the mobility increasing, effective transferring system and unified information service. For the mobility increasing, commuting railway must be faster by flexible train diagram and facilities improvement. And finally, optimal commuter train, 'Liner' is needful. And for effective transferring system, it is necessary that railway station and transferring center of a city be merged. And it is needful that direct management bus by railway company and unification fare system on metropolitan region. Next, for information service system improving, the commuting railway station must be regional transportation hub at first. And it is needful that unified line map of trunk line transportation systems and regionally collective transportation system information book. Therefore, metropolitan commuting railways compete with trunk line bus and cooperate with feeder line bus, and can make optimal metropolitan public transportation systems.

차량 추적을 위한 이동형 자동차 배출가스 측정시스템(MEL) 구축 (A Mobile Emission Laboratory for Car Chasing Experiment)

  • To measure the traffic pollutants with high temporal and spatial resolution under real conditions a mobile emission laboratory (MEL) was designed and built in KIST with close-cooperation with KIMM and Yonsei university. The equipment of the mini-van provides gas phase measurements of CO, NOx, $CO_2$, THC (Total hydrocarbon) and number density & size distribution measurements of fine and ultra-fine particles by a fast mobility particle sizer (FMPS) and a condensation particle counter (CPC). The inlet sampling port above the bumper enables the chasing of different type of vehicles. This paper introduces the construction and technical details of the MEL and presents data from the car chasing experiment of diesel and CNG city bus. The dilution ratio was increased rapidly according to the chasing distance. Most particles from the diesel city bus were counted under 300 nm and the peak concentration of the particles was located between 40-60 nm. However, the most particles from the CNG city bus were nano particle counted under 50 nm.

시내버스 친절서비스 향상 방안에 대한 연구 (A Study on Improvement Plan of City Bus Kindness Service)

  • 부산광역시는 대중교통이용활성화정책의 하나의 방안으로 2007년부터 버스준공영제를 실시하였다. 준공영제 실시 후 노선개편과 요금제도 개선 등의 효과로 인해 일정기간 동안 버스이용객은 증가하였지만 다시 이용객이 감소하고 있는 추세이다. 이는 시스템적인 측면의 개선을 통해 가져올 수 있는 효과만으로는 시내버스 이용증가에 한계가 있다는 것을 시사한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 시내버스 이용을 증가시키기 위하여 새로운 방안이 필요하다고 판단되어 친절서비스 향상 방안에 대해 분석을 실시하였다. 부산광역시 시내버스이용자와 운전자에게 16가지 친절서비스항목에 대해 설문을 진행하여 분석하였으며 주요 내용은 다음과 같다. 시내버스이용자와 운전자를 대상으로 친절서비스 항목에 대한 중요 정도를 판단하는 분석을 실시한 결과 친절서비스를 유지강화 해야 할 분야, 점진적으로 개선해나가야 할 분야, 향상을 위해 권장해야 할 분야, 그리고 집중적으로 개선해나가야 할 분야로 분류되었다. 상기 4가지 친절서비스 분야에 대한 업체별 차이를 파악하고자 부산광역시 시내버스 33개 업체를 대상으로 군집분석을 실시 한 결과 4개의 군집으로 나누어졌으며 친절서비스에 대해 높은 중요도를 보이는 2개의 군집(14개 업체)과 낮은 중요도를 보이는 2개의 군집(19개 업체)으로 분류되었다. 또한 4개의 친절서비스 분야가 군집 간에 유의한 차이를 보이는지 살펴보기 위하여 다변량 분산분석(MANOVA)을 실시한 결과 차이가 명확히 있는 것을 파악되었으며 이를 통해 부산광역시 시내버스 친절서비스 향상을 위한 제고방안에 대하여 고찰 하였다.
