Influencer Marketing: Factors Influencing A Customer's Purchase Intention

  • Purpose: The study analyzes the impact of attitudes toward food influencers on consumer purchase intention. It also aims to identify factors affecting consumers' attitudes toward food influencers. Research design, data and methodology: Based on the responses collected from 500 randomly selected consumers, the study analyzes the relationship based on the factors of influencer marketing. The authors test the conceptual model using multivariate linear regression analysis after validating the internal consistency of the data using Cronbach's Alpha reliability test and exploratory factor analysis (EFA). Results: The study finds that purchase intention is positively correlated and significantly impacted by the attitude towards influencer. The study further finds that attitude towards influencer is positively correlated and significantly impacted by source attractiveness, product match up, and source familiarity. However, source credibility is found to be an insignificant construct impacting attitude towards influencer. Conclusions: The study gives a guided solution to marketers and brand practitioners about the importance of influencer marketing in the food industry and its effectiveness in generating purchase intention. The present paper bridges a gap pertaining to antecedents and factors that impact attitudes toward food influencers and consumer purchase intention. To the authors' knowledge, this study is the first of its kind to investigate the impact of attitudes toward influencers on purchase intention in the food industry.

도시 이미지에 대한 지구 이미지의 기여수준 분석 - 부산시를 중심으로 - (The Analysis of Attributive Level of District Image for City Image - Focus on Busan City -)

  • This article statistically analyzed contributive levels of district image based on an effect and a similarity index through the evaluation of citizens and suggested the efficient management system of a city image according to the results. For this study, Busan City was selected as a case city by the preceding literature and was investigated concerning district image and city image through a questionnaire. The new evaluation method for analysis of a city image was presented in this process. The results of this research are as follows: 1. Busan City has a substantial positive and culturally unique image, and each of its districts have other image characteristics. for example, the CBD district has a positive image, and the sea shore district has a busy and prosperous image, but the backward sea shore district has an image of stagnancy. 2. The image of Yeonje-gu has the largest effect on the image of Busan. Next in influence are Jung-gu, Saha-gu, Suyoung-gu, respectively. The effect index is closely connected with the variance of evaluative adjectives. 3. Busanjin-gu and Haeundae-gu have similar images to Busan City. Next in similarity are Nam-gu, Jung-gu, Youngdo-gu, Suyoung-gu, respectively. The similarity index is closely connected with the correlation of evaluative adjectives. Busan City and its districts can establish their image strategies with the above analyzed results. This study is meaningful in that a statistical evaluative method was proposed. With continued follow-up research, this study may serve as a systematic and logical model to improve the urban landscape and image.

지역문화콘텐츠를 활용한 도시마케팅 보드게임 제작 및 활용 (Broad-games development and application using regional cultural contents)

  • 여러 가지 게임의 유형 중 가장 오랜 역사를 가지고 있는 보드게임은 그 시대의 유행하는 시대적 상황에 민감하게 반응하여 왔으며 게임의 내용과 형식 속에서 사회적 문화적 특성을 내포하고 있다. 유아에서부터 성인에 이르기까지 다양한 연령층이 선호하는 게임 유형으로 온라인 게임이 지니고 있는 부정적 영향을 극복할 수 있는 대안적 여가 활동으로 제시되고 있다. 가족 중심의 놀이문화 형성, 사회성 발달, 인간관계 개선 등 긍정적인 영향을 발휘하며 다양한 용도로 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지역의 인물, 관광지, 특산물 등 고유 콘텐츠를 활용하여 보드게임을 도시마케팅 용도로 제작하였다. 지역의 역사적 인물을 이용한 카드형 게임과 관광지와 특산물을 이용한 보드형 게임을 개발하여 게임을 즐기면서 자연스럽게 도시를 홍보할 수 있는 시도를 하였다. 지역의 고유 문화콘텐츠를 활용한 보드게임은 교육 및 홍보 등 다양한 목적으로 사용할 수 있다.

  • 소셜네트워크게임(SNG)은 말 그대로 사회적인 연결망이나 관계에 기반한 게임이다. 사람들과의 관계가 게임에 있어서 중요한 요소가 되어 이를 잘 활용해야 원활한 진행을 할 수 있다는 점이다. 소셜네트워크 서비스에 바탕을 둔 소셜네트워크 게임의 활동은 실제 기업상품과 연결시켜 구매를 유도할 수도 있고 또 소셜네트워크 게임 상의 가게를 기업의 웹사이트나 쇼핑몰과 연결하여 게임 속에서 광고를 통한 마케팅도 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 개발게임을 사례를 들어 소셜커머스에 기반한 새로운 SNG 비즈니스 모델을 제안하고 차후 SNG 수익모델 연계방식을 제시하였다.

Islamic vs. Non-Islamic Attributes for Smart Tourism City in South Korea

  • Destination attributes represent the attractiveness of destinations that pull tourists to visit them. Destination marketers must understand what motivates tourists to choose certain destination attributes before they travel. Considering religious tourists plays an important aspect in influencing travel decisions, especially destination choices. For instance, the appearance of Islamic religious attributes in destinations can delight Muslim tourists and stimulate their satisfaction and loyalty. This study examines smart tourism city. In particular, it investigates the effects of Seoul's destination attributes on Muslim tourists' satisfaction and loyalty to South Korea. Results show that non-Islamic destination attributes (conventional attributes) have positive relationship with Muslim tourists' satisfaction, and their satisfaction is positively related to their loyalty toward South Korea as a travel destination.

해양 목포시의 상징 모티브를 이용한 생활문화상품 디자인개발 (A Development of Living Cultural Products Design Using Symbol of a Maritime Mokpo City)

  • This study aims to examine current status of cultural products in Mokpo city and their problems and develop cultural products design suitable to this situation. Cultural products in Mokpo sold here are made from China and have lower quality or traditional crafts and folkcrafts which can be purchased anywhere in Korea and they are not enough to show identity or image of Mokpo city. So I mixed the logos of 'mokpo city' and 'national maritime museum' based on main motive of 'modern Korean ship and shipbuilding tools' held by 'National Maritime Museum' and 'Goebukseon (turtle ship)' and 'Hanseon' which are suitable to the image of maritime culture as cultural products advocated by Mokpo city and developed one design style for print. This design is applied to T-shirts, necktie, cap, cushion and mug. Silk print, transfer print and needlework techniques are applied to each item and the whole cultural products have design of set concept. It is a case of applying modern product marketing technique to our cultural products not a design for only one item, is aimed to recreate spiritual and cultural value that a region has as daily goods to be used by general consumers and show the chance and possibility to complement shortcomings of existing cultural products and develop traditional culture having locality.

The Effects of Online Social Influencers on Purchasing Behavior of Generation Z: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of influencers on generation Z (Gen Z) in the online environment. This article has applied the theories of source credibility, TAM, IAM, and TPB to identify influencer characteristics that affect the purchasing behaviors of Gen Z customers. This research was conducted using a Google Form survey with 24 pre-designed questions. A total of 464 valid questionnaires from Gen Z Vietnamese were collected between November 2020 and January 2021. Data was analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3 software. The analysis results confirmed that the components of influencer credibility have a positive impact on Gen Z's purchasing behaviors under the mediated influence of argument quality, perceived usefulness, and social influence. Surprisingly, for Gen Z, the influencers' attractiveness has the strongest impact on their online behavior. More specifically, attractiveness plays the most important role in the perceived usefulness and social influence of Gen Z customers, while influencers' expertise has the strongest impact on argument quality delivered to customers. This study provides evidence of a change in the way Gen Z responds to marketing activities. They are more drawn by the attraction of influencers than their expertise.

The Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility on Brand Image: A Case Study in Vietnam

  • This paper examines the impact of university social responsibility on brand image and student satisfaction. Social responsibility impact on consumer behavior has been studied extensively. But the same impact has not been rigorously tested to the same extend in the education sector. Firstly, we analyze the perception of university social responsibility (USR) and its components, including (1) the quality of teaching programs, facilities, and academic staff; (2) supporting learning activities; and (3) human resource policies. Secondly, we investigate the relationship between university social responsibility, brand image, and student satisfaction. The study examined these relationships through a proposed economic model based on answers from a survey of 298 students at the University of Food Industry Ho Chi Minh City. From the above survey data, the author proceeds to quantify variables and, based on Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient, EFA factor analysis, and linear regression, to measure the impact of each social responsibility factor on business of the university and student satisfaction. The results show that university social responsibility actually affects the university's brand image and student satisfaction. Our findings suggest that universities should develop an appropriate marketing strategy to reinforce brand image and student satisfaction through the university social responsibility model.

A Study on the Sustainability of Compact Cities in Korea

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the policy implications of establishing a compact city in Seoul, analyzing whether it is an appropriate and efficient eco-friendly housing supply alternative. Research design, data, and methodology: The analysis criteria include efficiency, safety, and comfort, with efficiency encompassing economic, energy, and public transport links' efficiency. Safety and comfort are aspects of eco-friendliness, housing safety, and improvement in living environments. Results: In terms of economic efficiency, compact cities are a less expensive option than purchasing land for housing construction. To increase energy efficiency, we plan to adopt eco-friendly energy sources. Transportation efficiency is high in locations near public transport stations. To enhance safety and comfort, we intend to create large-scale parks and forests in Seoul. To ensure residential safety, measures will be taken to reduce road vibration, vehicle noise, and scattering dust. Conclusions: Selecting an appropriate location that provides convenient public transportation is essential for creating a compact city for housing in a large city. Combining a compact and smart city is necessary, and implementing smart technologies is needed to prevent dust, noise, and vibrations, which are undesirable in a residential environment.

민.관의 활동에서 본 쓰시마시의 지역 활성화 정책: 아리랑 축제를 사례로 (The Regional Development Strategy by Public-Private Activities: A Case Study of the Tsushima Arirang Festival, Tsushima, Nagasaki Province, Japan)

  • 본 연구에서는 쓰시마시의 아리랑 축제를 사례로, 쓰시마시는 어떠한 과정을 거천 아리랑 축제를 한국인을 겨냥한 장소마케팅의 수단으로 이용해 왔는지, 아리랑 축제의 역사를 통한 민과 관의 활동에 착안하여 고찰하였다. 쓰시마시는 기존의 축제에 조선통신사 행렬과 아리랑 축제의 타이틀을 추가함으로써, 한국인 관광객을 유치하려고 노력하여 왔으나, 독도문제 등으로 인한 일부 주민들의 항의에 부딪혔다. 이에 시는 협의회를 거쳐, 지역 활성화를 위해 축제를 중지할 필요는 없지만, 2007년부터는 아리랑 축제를 서브타이틀로 사용할 것에 합의하였다. 이처럼 지역주민들은 때로는 아리랑 축제의 개최를 둘러싸고 관과 첨예하게 의견대립을 보이는 경우도 있었지만, 한편으로 그들은 축제의 운영에서 프로그램의 공연에 이르기까지 적극적으로 참가하고 있어, 쓰시마시의 아리랑 축제는 지역주민의 아이덴티티에 기초한 그들의 축제이면서 동시에 장소마케팅의 수단으로 이용되고 있음을 알 수 있고, 그 과정은 민과 관이 함께 만들어 가는 지역 만들기의 과정이라고 할 수 있다.
