연안용 소형 고속 레저선 선형개발 (Hull Form Development of a Small-Size High-Speed Coastal Leisure Boat)

  • The initial hull form of a 3 G/T and 30 knots class coastal leisure boat is newly developed. The performances measured, resistance, trim and sinkage, are investigated in a high-speed, circulating water channel (CWC). The effect of a fin attached on the hull side is studied together. Wave patterns are observed to clarify the relationship between the resistance performance and the wave characteristics. It can be found that the fin plays a role of increasing the resistance performance above a certain velocity.

  • A 30ft class aluminum leisure boat is newly developed and the resistance performances are investigated by a model test at a high-speed circulating water channel. The effect of a fin attached to the side of the hull is studied at two different displacements. Wave patterns are observed to make clear the relationship between the resistance performance and wave characteristics. It can be found that a chine position at the draft line can have a strong effect on the resistance performance around a certain velocity range.

  • A 32-ft class leisure boat was newly developed using statistical analysis of actual ships. Resistance performances were investigated by testing models in a high-speed circulating water channel, and with the CFD method. The effects of a trim tab and of a fin attached at the hull side were studied together. Wave patterns were observed to clarify the relationship between resistance performance and wave characteristics. It was found that a trim tab and a side fin play a role in increasing resistance performance within a certain velocity range.

  • Resistance performance of 6.67 G/T class fishing vessel is experimentally investigated in low and middle speed ranges to find out the effect of a new chine. The tests are performed for four different cases in the circulating water channel(CWC). Wave patterns are observed together to make clear the relation between the resistance performance and the wave characteristics. The results show that the new chine can be one of the effective device to reduce the resistance.

  • Hull forms for catamaran type small fishing boat powered by electric motor are newly developed by experimental approaches. Model tests for two hull forms having different length are made at circulating water channel. Resistance performance and wave patterns are compared to carry out an analysis of the effect of extension of main body. The results show that the extension of main body can give better resistance performance above a certain velocity.

  • 본 연구에서는 조류발전용 헬리컬 수차를 발전소 냉각수 배수로에서의 수력 개발에 이용하기 위하여 수차구조물의 설치로 인한 수위 증가가 냉각수 순환 계통에 미치는 영향을 파악하였다. 배수로 암거 출구부에 가로 3.6 m $\times$ 세로 1.5 m의 헬리컬 수차 1 set(2기 일체형)를 설치하는 경우에 대하여 배수로의 수위변화 및 압력변화를 수치해석을 통해 분석한 결과, 평균해수위시에는 seal well 하류의 수위 변화 영향이 seal well의 weir에 의해 차단되어 상류로 전파되지 않았다. 그러나 고조시에는 weir의 월류 흐름형태가 잠김 월류가 되고 seal well 전 후단이 모두 만관흐름상태가 되어 하류의 압력변화가 상류로 전파되었다. 방류 개시 후 약 10분간 불안정한 압력변화가 발생하나 이후 안정되며, 약 0.2 m 내외의 수두 증가로 냉각수 순환펌프 소요 동력이 증가할 수 있으나 안전성에는 영향을 주지 않을 것으로 판단되었다. 따라서, 수력 개발 타당성 평가시 냉각수 순환펌프의 소요전력 증가를 고려할 필요가 있다.

  • Recently, with increasing container ships' volume continuously, the conceptual design "Smart Harbor" of newly logistics processing system has been suggested. It is necessary to estimate resistance and horsepower for the selection of an appropriate propulsor at the initial design stage of Smart Harbor. In this study, CFD and the circulating water channel of the University of Ulsan are employed for estimating the resistance of the Smart Harbor Crane Ship with 1/100 scaled model. Two turbulent models are used. One is realizable k-${\varepsilon}$and the other is Reynolds stress turbulence model. In addition, the effects of the change in y+ and the number of meshes are considered during analysing.

입자영상유속계를 이용한 가두리 망지의 난류강도 계측 (Measurement of turbulence intensity of cage net using the particle imaging velocimetry)

  • This study is aimed to analyze the hydrodynamic characteristics of the cage net in the circulating water channel. It visualized wake flows using a PIV (paricle imaging velocimetry) and analyzed the flow velocity distribution. In addition, the vorticity and turbulence intensity were analyzed from the wake flow distribution and compared changes by flow velocity. Results showed that the average turbulence intensity in the circulating water channel was very stable showing less than 1% in the range between 0.2 and 0.8 m/s. The drag coefficient affecting to the netting was estimated to be 1.35. The flow decreasing rate of the wake in the middle of the netting was 2.1% at the range of 0.2 m/s and it was constant at 6.6-6.9% over the range of 0.4 m/s irrespective of velocity increases. Finally, the change of turbulence intensity by netting and knot mesh could be confirmed. These results can be utilized as a basic information for the future research of flow characteristics by fishing nets and meshes.

통계해석에 의한 G/T 4톤급 연안어선의 유효마력 추정 (Prediction of Effective Horsepower for G/T 4 ton Class Coast Fishing Boat Using Statistical Analysis)

  • This paper describes a statistical analysis method for predicting a coast fishing boat's effective horsepower. The EHP estimation method for small coast fishing boats was developed, based on a statistical regression analysis of model test results in a circulating water channel. The statistical regression formula of a fishing boat's effective horsepower is determined from the regression analysis of the resistance test results for 15 actual coast fishing boats. This method was applied to the effective horsepower prediction of a G/T 4 ton class coast fishing boat. From the estimation of the effective horsepower using this regression formula and the experimental model test of the G/T 4 ton class coast fishing boat, the estimation accuracy was verified under 10 percent of the design speed. However, the effective horsepower prediction method for coast fishing boats using the regression formula will be used at the initial design and hull-form development stage.
