A Simplified Circuit Model and Switching Noise Characterization of the Complicated Multi-Layer IC Package (복잡한다 층구조 IC 패키지의 회로 모델링 및 스위칭 노이즈 분석)

  • A new simplified circuit model for the switching noise analysis of the complicated multi-layer IC package is developed. The current flowing mechanism on the ground and power planes of the package is simplified by using the dependent current soures and partial plane circuit model. The methodology is very cost-efficient as well as accurate. It is demonstrated that the nosie based on the simplified circuit model has an excellent agreement with that of the complicated full circuit model. However, the simplified model takes only 5 minutes for the switching noise simulation, while the full circuit model takes more than 4 hours.

  • This paper proposes a new commutation circuit for a PWM Cuk AC-AC converter. The proposed commutation circuit utilizes a modified Undeland snubber as a commutation aid. The snubber circuit has some good features such as reduction of voltage/current stress of the main switches and improved efficiency. The experiment results show the adaptability and feasibility of the proposed commutation circuit.

Fault detection of logic circuit by use of M-sequence correlation method

  • In this paper, the estimation of the structure of a logic circuit under test is made from the observation of the input-output correlation function by use of M-sequence, from which we can estimate whether or not any fault exist in the logic circuit. Especially, investigation was made in case of the 2_stage logic circuit. We checked theoretically the sequence of correlation function, and we have shown that the correlation function is a function of period of M-sequence only, land the appearing number of correlation function in a period is a constant value depending on the logic circuit only. And by computer simulations we have shown that the structure of the circuit under test can be estimated from the observation of sequence of correlation function.

  • It is necesary that analog buffer circuit should drive an external load in the VLSI design such as switched capacitor efilter (SCF), D/A converter, A/d converter, telecommunicatin circuit, etc. The conventional CMOS buffer circuit have many probvlems according as CMOS technique. Firstly, Capacity of large load ar enot able to opeate well. The problem can be solve to use class AB stages. But large load are operated a difficult, because an element of existing CMOS has a quadratic functional relation with inptu and outut voltage versus output current. Secondly, whole circuit of dynamic rang edecrease, because a range of inpt and output voltages go down according as increasing of intergration rate drop supply voltage. In this paper suggests that new differential CMOS line driver make out of operating an external of large load. In telecommunication's chip case transmission line could be a load. It is necessary that a load operate line driver. The proposal circuit is planned to hav ea high generation power rnage of voltage with preservin linearity. And circuit of capability is inspected through simulation program (HSPICE).

  • Pneumatic system has been mainly used as main equipment for actuation and control of compressed air force in manufacturing industry, pneumatic circuit for the most part is used in Meter-Out circuit. Meter-Out circuit method is Flow Control Valve to fit in exhaust part of cylinder port. In the reverse, Meter-In circuit is Flow Control Valve to fit in input part of cylinder port. This study examines the dynamic characteristics comparison of Meter-In and Meter-Out Circuits in the pneumatic circuits. The results of the experimental research are obtained to the followings: i ) System Response is Meter-In Circuit more than Meter-Out one before cushion zone. ii) we conjectured that the collision of piston and head cover is ease to collide Meter-In Circuit more than Meter-Out one at the stroke end part.

  • The effect of Si content in welding wires on th arc stability was investigate, in the region of short circuit transfer and spray transfer. In the region of short circuit transfer, with increasing Si content, average arcing time and average short circuit time were increased. Therefore, droplet transfer frequency was decreased, due to the increase of arcing time and peak current at the moment of arc-reiginition was increased, due to the increase of short circuit time. In the region of spray transfer, the fluctuations of arc current and arc voltage was the most stable in wire with Si content of about 00.60 wt.%.

  • This paper discusses the ZVS/ ZVZCS Three-Level converter using the minimum auxiliary circuit. A primary auxiliary circuit, which consists of one coupled inductor is added in the primary circuit to provide ZVZCS conditions to primary switches. ZVS is for outer switches and ZCS or ZVS is for inner switches. Many advantages including simple circuit topology high efficiency, and low cost make this converter attractive for high power applications. The principle of operation, feature and design considerations arc illustrated and verified through the experiment with a 2kHz 400kHz IGBT based experimental circuit.

  • The full bridge converter have been used for high power system that is needed to switch the big current. So, EMI and stability problem is occurred. The Soft switching method is the solution to solve the above problem, But implementation of soft switching(ZVS: Zero Voltage Switching) is so complicate and expensive because of the DSP MCU and shift circuit. In this paper, we introduce the technical method for driving circuit of ZVS full bridge converter with 1st order delay circuit and logic elements. The realization of this method is so simple and cheap. The effectiveness of the proposed circuit is verified by experimental results.

  • In a fire hazard analysis (FHA) for nuclear power plant, various electrical circuit analyses are performed in the parts of fire loading analysis, fire modeling analysis, separation criteria analysis, associated circuit analysis, and multiple spurious operation analysis. Thus, electrical circuit analyses are very important areas so that reliability of the analysis results should be assured. This study is to establish essential electrical elements for each analysis for verification of the reliability of the electrical circuit analyses in the fire hazard analysis for nuclear power plants. Applying the results derived by the study to domestic nuclear power plants, it is expected to determine the adequacy of the fire hazard analysis report and contribute to the reliability of the fire hazard analysis of those plants.

  • In this paper, We have designed an advanced circuits for controlling the Ink Nozzle of Printer Head We can fully increase the number of nozzle by reducing the number of Input/Output PADs using the proposed new circuit. The proposed circuit is tested with only 20 nozzles to evaluate functional test using FPGA sample chip. The new circuit architecture can be estimated. Full circuit for controlling 320 nozzles was designed and simulated from ASIC full custom methodology, then the circuit was fabricated by applying 3${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS process design rule.
