The purpose of this study is to find out the symbolic meaning of interior color a the chosun dynasty's upper class houses, and to review it from a point of view of the Western coloring harmony theory. from this study, the Oriental philosophy, the ideas of Confucianism, and the ethnic traits influenced the interior color of the Chosun Dynasty's upper class houses like an-bang or sarang-bang. The results indicated that main color, auxiliary color, accent color were harmonized with similar harmony by hue and with contrast harmony by value and chroma. Therefore, interior color image of Korean traditional houses should be applied to the various design field as well as modern interior desigv.

For the purpose of improving the qualities of immatured soybean(Seoklyang), the effects of table height (0, 5, 10, 15mm) and time(60, 66, 72, 78 sec) for microwave blanching on physicochemical properties were investigated. Enzyme inactivities lipoxygenase and peroxidase for all there conditions were more de creased than for control and water blanching. Enzyme activity of each conditions was expressed as percentage on the enzyme activity of control. Lipoxygeanse activity and peroxidase activity of immatured soybeans were about 20% and 10% levels, respectively. Also the color showed the higher L(lightness), b(yellowness), chroma(brightness) values, but the lower a(redness) and hue angle. Vitamin C content was worse than for control, but was better than for water blanching. Hardness with a few exceptions showed the higher value for control.

Multi-scaled retinex algorithm is generally used to enhance the local contrast and remove the illuminant component. However, if the chromatic distribution of an original image is not uniform and dominated by a certain chromaticity, the chromaticity of resulting image depends on the dominant chromaticity of the original image, thereby inducing the color distortion. In this paper, a modified multi-scaled retinex method to reduce the influence of the dominant chromaticity in the image is proposed using a average chromaticity of original image and global illuminant chromaticity. In addition, to compensate saturation, the chroma value of the resulting image is enhanced based on that of the original image in the CIELAB space.

Since the beginning of time people had been using color to mark territory and decorate their surroundings. Color was taken for granted today as an intrinsic part of every waking moment. In modern age, color education was very important curriculum of art and design. In general, color expressed by hue, value and chroma but used the tone on the design spot, therefore the tone concept education was very important to color education. In this study I planned the usable "Systematic Color Coordinate System 180" for general color education on hue and tone color system and manufactured the color papers, color chart and color code based on the system. "Systematic Color Coordinate System 180" was attached the Munsell notation and common color names which could reappear the colors when needed.

The sensibilities of cotton fabrics were subjectively evaluated by 126 subjects with 7-points scale questionnaires using the 4-dimensions and 8-axes system, which was composed of adjectives such as ‘masculine-feminine’,‘new-old’,‘casual-classical’, and ‘ambiguous-arranged’. And the sensibilities of cotton fabrics were classified through the cluster analysis. Also, we measured color and physical characteristics, which were variables to have an effect on the sensibilities of cotton fabrics. The sensibilities of cotton fabrics were classified into 8 groups such as ‘feminine, arranged, and classical sensibility’,‘arranged, classical, and old sensibility’,‘feminine sensibility’,‘new, feminine, and ambiguous sensibility’,‘casual and new sensibility’, and ‘ambiguous and old sensibility’The sensibilities of cotton fabrics were more influenced by color characteristics such as value, chroma, and hue than by physical characteristics.

This study aims to propose directions of color-scape about fishing village and harbor in East coast. In order to offer better landscape in harbor; Namae and Sachun, such as regional atmosphere and identification are to analyze with color planning. For the quality of color-scape, natural color, regional color of harbor may be possible to work out future harbor surrounding by evaluation scale and then hue, value, chroma can be estimated systematically. This survey suggests that color of harbor is to be environmental and regional color control. We analyze that the color-scape planning through the both whole harmony and organic combination is important elements of satisfaction to the people of experience with color environments. Consequently, some proposal of color guideline by analysis of color simulation will be useful to make out preliminary design criteria in improvement of color.

The purpose of this study was to the observe effects of the various bleaching agents on blood clot. Absorbent papers(N9.5) were coated with O type blood and were dried in shadow for 72 hours. Bleaching agents used were 5% NaOCl 30% $H_2O_2$, saturated solutions of $NaBO_3$ $4H_2O$, $Ca(OCl)_2$ and $Na_2O_2$ at $20^{\circ}C$. After the specimens, blood cloted papers were dipped in 10CC of solution for 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours and 24 hours, specimens were washed with distilled water and dried. Hue Value/Chroma contrived by Munsell was measured in each specimen. The following results were obtained. 1. Superoxol changes 2.5YR 4.5/2 into N9.5 (white) after 24 hours. 2. All bleaching agents except superoxol change YR into Y.

Recently a lot of domestic harbor and fishing village should be established by redevelopment Thus this paper is to propose directions of color design about fishing village and harbor in East coast. Above all important color-scape in harbor, such as regional atmosphere and sea-scape are to analyze color planning. The major analysis is to take basic data about color planning for marine tourism. For the feasibility of these characteristics, hue, value, chroma can be checked and design of color-scape may be possible to work out future harbor surrounding by evaluation scale. This study suggests that harbor of contemporary is to be environmental and regional color control. To this end, it shows that the color of not uniformity but combination/harmony is one of the important of satisfaction of color environments. The result of this study, analysis of color-scape about status will be useful to plan with color data in fishing village and harbor.
