  • 25$^{\circ}C$의 50%(v/v) 메탄올-물의 혼합용매 속에서 N-(benzenesulfonyl)-C-(N-methylanilino)imidoyl Chloride 유토체의 가수분해 반응 속도 상수를 자외선 분광광도법으로 측정하여 반응속도식, 치환기효과, 용매효과, 염효과, 열역학적 할성화 파라미터 및 가수분해 생성물의 분석 등의 결과로부터 pH9.0 이하의 범위에서는 azocarbonium ion 중간체를 지나는 $S_N1$형 반응, pH 10.0 이상의 pH에서는 사면체 중간체를 지나는 친핵성 첨가-제거반응($Ad_{N-E}$)이 일어남을 제안하였다.

  • 본 연구는 OPC-slag-FA의 삼성분계 시멘트에 PAC을 혼합하여 강도 특성에 대한 특성을 살펴보는 실험적 연구이다. 결합재는 80% OPC+10% slag+10% FA, 60% OPC+20% slag+20%FA, and 40% OPC+30% slag+30% FA의 세 종류이다. PAC은 mixing-water 중량의 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10%를 사용하였다. 실험결과 PAC은 OPC의 양에 관계없이 압축강도를 향상시킨다. PAC은 portlandite를 소비하고 Friedel's salt를 형성하며 공극의 직경을 감소시켜 matrix를 치밀하게 만들어 압축강도 향상에 기여한다. 그러나 다공성의 FA 입자는 초기수화단계에서 PAC을 흡수하여 수화작용을 지연시키는 효과가 있었다. 따라서 FA의 사용은 수화지연효과를 고려하여 치환율을 결정할 필요가 있다.

  • The rates of hydrolysis of N-(benzenesulfonyl) benzimidoyl chlorides (p-H, $p-CH_3,\;p-CH_3,\;p-NO_2\;and m-NO_2$) have been measured by UV spectrometry in 60% methanol-water at $25^{\circ}C$ and a rate equation which can be applied over wide pH range was obtained. Below pH 7.00, the substituent effect on the hydrolysis rate of N-(benzenesulfonyl) benzimidoyl chloride was found to conform to the Hammett ${\sigma}$ constant with ${\rho}$ = -0.91, whereas above pH 9.00, with ${\rho}$ = 0.94. On the basis of the rate equation obtained and the effect of solvent, substituents and salt, the following reaction mechanism were proposed; below pH 7.00, the hydrolysis of N-(benzenesulfonyl) benzimidoyl chloride proceeds by $S_N1$ mechanism, however, above pH 9.00, the hydrolysis is initiated by the attack of the hydroxide ion and in the range of pH 7.00-9.00, these two reactions occur competitively.

식이조성(食餌組成)에 따른 식염섭취량(食鹽攝取量)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Effect of Sodium Chloride Intake Related to the Composition of the Diet)

  • Sodium chloride plays an important role as the main condiment at daily meal. It is well known that humans require sodium chloride as an essential nutrient to keep the homeostasis of electrolytes. The amounts of salt intake may be a reflection of geography, culture and food habit rather than necessity. Lee has reported (1962) that Koreans ingest high amounts of sodium chloride in their meals, with an intake of excess carbohydrate (80-90% of total Calories) and low protein in their diet. This includes large amounts of rice, Kimchi and other fermented soybean products common in the Korean diet. This investigation was designed to study the dietary relations of sodium chloride to other nutrients in the Korean diet. Twenty four albino male rats, weighing from 290-300g, were divided into four dietary groups according to the amounts of carbohydrate, protein and fat in the basal diet. Each diet contained a rice powder as a carbohydrate source. Diet I was a control diet, Diet II, low protein, Diet III, low protein and low fat diet and Diet IV, low fat diet. All rats were provided with 3% sodium chloride solution. Diet and salt solution were given ad libitum. The experiment was carried out for 9 weeks during which time the body weight, the food intake, and 3% sodium chloride solution consumption were determined. At the 9th week, the urine was collected the blood sample from the artery of each rat for the analysis of sodium and potassium and other chemical studies. The rats were sacrificed and the kidney, adrenal, liver and spleen were measured, and observed changes of the pathological tissue in the kidney and adrenal. The results were summarized as follows: 1) The growth rate was higher in Diet I than in the other experimental diets (II, III and IV) after 4 weeks. There was no significant difference found between the experimental Diets II, III and IV. 2) The daily food intake was greater in the experimental diets II, III and IV than in the control diet. However, there was no difference among the high carbohydrate diets Diet II, III and IV. 3) The daily water (3% sodium chloride solution) intake was also greater in the Diets II, III and IV, than in the control diet. However, there was no difference between Diets II, III and IV. 4) The concentration of sodium and potassium in the blood were within the normal range in all diets. 5) The amount of sodium chloride in the urine was significantly greater in Diets II, III and IV than in the control diet. Diets II, III, IV had a larger amount of sodium solution consumption. 6) Observation of pathological tissue in the experimental diets found a cell proliferation in the glomerlulus of the kidney, while such change was not found in the control diet.

염화칼슘과 소금이 도로변 퇴적물의 중금속 용출에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Calcium Chloride and Sodium Chloride on the Leaching Behavior of Heavy Metals in Roadside Sediments)

  • 제설제를 살포하는 것은 도시지역에서 자동차가 겨울철에 운행하는 동안 안전한 운전을 가능하게 한다. 하지만 많은 양의 제설제 (염화칼슘과 소금)를 사용하는 것은 심각한 환경문제를 발생시키고 도로변 퇴적물에 함유된 중금속의 거동을 변화시키게 되며, 결과적으로 염소이온과의 착이온형성에 기인된 중금속의 이동성을 증가시키게 될 것이다. 제설제의 농도가 중금속 (카드뮴, 아연, 구리, 납, 비소, 니켈, 크롬, 코발트, 망간 및 철)의 용출특성과 이동성에 미치는 영향을 연구하기 위하여, 서울시 주요 도로변에서 채취한 퇴적물을 대상으로 제설제의 농도 (0.01-5.0M)를 변화시켜 용출실험을 수행하였다. 연구결과, 도로변 퇴적물에 함유된 아연, 구리 및 망간은 쉽게 용해되어 이동되는 반면, 크롬과 코발트는 도로변 퇴적물에 강하게 고정되어 있음을 관찰하였다. 이번 용출실험에서 검출된 아연 (최대 $118.6{\mu}g/g$). 구리 (최대 $44.9{\mu}g/g$) 및 망간 (최대 $42.2{\mu}g/g$)의 함량은 상대적으로 높은 함량이었다. 제설제는 흡착 (또는 침전)된 금속과 용해된 금속 사이의 분배를 감소시키며, 이는 제설제가 용해된 눈 녹은 물에 용존 중금속 함량을 증가시키게 되어 결과적으로 지표수의 수질을 악화시키게 된다. 또한, 도로에 제설제를 살포하는 것에 의해 중금속이 지하수까지 침투되어 지하수를 오염시키게 될 것이다.

The study on the influence of surface cleanness and water soluble salt on corrosion protection of epoxy resin coated carbon steel

  • The corrosion resistance of epoxy-coated carbon steel was evaluated. The carbon steel surface was subjected to different treatment methods such as steel grit blasting and power tool treatment as well as contamination of water soluble salt. To study the effect of the surface treatments and contamination, the topology of the treated surface was observed by confocal microscopy and a pull-off adhesion test was conducted. The corrosion resistance of the epoxy-coated carbon steel was further examined by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) combined with immersion test of 3.5 wt% of NaCl solution. Consequently, the surface contamination by sodium chloride with $16mg/m^2$, $48mg/m^2$ and $96mg/m^2$ didn't affect the adhesion strength for current epoxy coated carbon steel and blister and rust were not observed on the surface of epoxy coating contaminated by various concentration of sodium chloride after 20 weeks of immersion in 3.5 wt% NaCl aqueous solutions. In addition, the results of EIS test showed that the epoxy-coated carbon steel treated with steel grit blasting and power tool showed similar corrosion protection performance and surface cleanness such as Sa 3 and Sa 2.5 didn't affect the corrosion protectiveness of epoxy coated carbon steel.

The Effect of Sodium Chloride on the Serine-type Fibrinolytic Enzymes and the Thermostability of Extracellular Protease from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens DJ-4

  • By adding sodium chloride (2.5%) into a Bacillus amyloliquefaciens DJ-4 culture broth, two serine-type fibrinolytic proteases with a molecular weight of 29 (subtilisin DJ-4) and 38-kDa were stimulated on the SDS-fibrin zymogram or inhibitor gels. B. amyloliquefaciens DJ-4 showed the highest proteolytic activity (5.52 plasmin NIH unit/ml) on the fibrin plate based on the molar ratio when cells were subjected to the 2.5% NaCl. Using a fibrin plate, the secreted protease from this strain in the presence of 5% NaCl showed that about 49% of the enzyme's activity remained after incubation at $60^{\circ}C$ for 30 min, but as the salt concentration was increased (10% NaCl) the activity nearly disappeared (0.14 plasmin NIH unit/ml). However, through a fibrin zymography assay, three fibrinolytic enzymes (38, 53 and 80-kDa) from the cells in the presence of 10% NaCl were detected. Also, two salt-activated serine-type fibrinolytic professes (29 and 38kDa) showed thermostability from 65 to $70^{\circ}C$ for 30 min. Furthermore, these professes also showed stability, pH 6-11. In particular, 29-kDa (subtilisin DJ-4) was very stable in the pH range of 4-11 at $4^{\circ}C$ for 48 h.

테녹시캄의 피부 흡수율을 증진시키기 위한 에탄올아민염의 제조 (Preparation of Tenoxicam Salt with Ethanolamine to Enhance the Percutaneous Absorption)

  • The aim of this work was to prepare tenoxicam-ethanolamine salt with improved physicochemical properties for transdermal application. Tenoxicam-ethanolamine salt was prepared in methylene chloride and its physicochemical properties were investigated by DSC and FT-lR. The broad peak of tenoxicam around 3600-3200 $cm^-1$ was shifted to lower wavenumber and more broadened. The characteristic endothermic melting peak of tenoxicam appeared at $223^{\circ}C$. The melting peak of tenoxicam-ethanolamine salt was shifted to $159^{\circ}C$. In contrast to relatively small difference in the partition coefficients of tenoxicam and the tenoxicam-ethanolamine salt, large difference in aqueous solubility was observed. $Crovol^{\circledR}$ PK4O (PEG-12 palm kernel glycerides) provided the highest skin flux for both compounds. The order of the enhancing effect of the various vehicles tested was similar for tenoxicam and tenoxicam-ethanolamine salt, which indicated that their enhancing mechanism for tenoxicam and tenoxicam-ethanolamine salt is similar. Tenoxicam-ethanolamine salt had a higher skin flux than tenoxicam by 1.2- to 31.7-fold, depending on the vehicles used. It is suggested that the vehicles with medium HLB value, 1 double bond, and lower ethylene oxide chain length have a better ability to modify the permeability of the stratum corneum and to promote the effective penetration of tenoxicam and tenoxicam-ethanolamine salt.

염화칼슘 처리농도가 가로변 지피식물의 생장에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Calcium Chloride Concentration on Roadside Ground Cover Plant Growth)

  • 본 연구는 가로변 지피식물을 중심으로 염화칼슘에 대한 내성과 피해양상을 파악하여 효율적인 가로변 지피식물 적용 및 관리 자료를 제시하고자 실시되었다. 실험구 조성은 염화칼슘 비율 대조구, 0.5%, 1.0%, 3.0%로 구분하여 일반상토 500g을 기준으로 고상처리 하였다. 식물재료로는 가로수 지피식물로 가능성이 있거나 사용되는 수호초, 옥잠화, 마삭줄, 순비기나무, 사철나무, 작살나무를 사용하였다. 결과를 정리하면 토양은 염화칼슘 농도처리에 따라 산도가 증가하였으며, 전기전도도는 지속적으로 감소하였고, 치환성 칼슘 함량은 처리 이후 증가하였으나 실험기간 중 감소하였다. 수호초, 마삭줄, 사철나무는 염화칼슘 비율 0.5%까지 생육 및 생존이 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 옥잠화, 순비기나무는 1.0%까지 생존이 가능한 것으로 나타났으며, 옥잠화는 식재 기반의 수분을 통한 염류의 이동이 가능한 조건에서 가로변의 지피식재로 적용이 가능할 것이라 판단되었다. 작살나무는 대조구를 제외한 염화칼슘 처리구에서 생육이 불량하고 개엽하지 않아 염화칼슘에 대한 민감성이 큰 것으로 나타났다.

Different Effect of Sodium Chloride Replacement with Calcium Chloride on Proteolytic Enzyme Activities and Quality Characteristics of Spent Hen Samgyetang

  • Sodium chloride (NaCl) replacement with calcium chloride (CaCl2) effect on protein solubility, proteolytic enzyme and quality characteristics of a chicken soup prepared from spent hen (SH) chicken were investigated. By means of immerse marination prior to cooking, a total of 60 skinless SH breast meat were randomly allocated into ten groups admitted to treatments with marinade solution containing sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) and reduced percentage of NaCl with CaCl2 at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% at 4±2℃ for 20 h. STPP was adjusted to 0.5% for all treatments and NaCl replacement at 0% was used as control. The different methods, particularly boiling at 100℃ and retorting at 121℃, 1.5 kgf/cm2 for 60 minutes, were applied following marination. An upregulation of cathepsin-B and caspase-3 enzymes were a consequences from a higher percentage of CaCl2 within meat environment. Accordingly, modified the protein solubility in particular the myofibrillar and total protein solubility. In addition, a significant increase in water holding capacity (WHC), pH value, myofibril fragmentation index (MFI), and moisture content was obtained due to salt replacement (p<0.05). Limited effect was observed for shear force value, collagen content and cooking yield. Eventually, this study implied that although protelytic enzyme and protein solubility was upregulated by the replacement of NaCl with CaCl2 at >75%, extensive effect on texture properties was not observed. Therefore, NaCl replacement at 75% could be a promising strategy for quality improvement of SH chicken soup.
