의료관광 분쟁에 관한 연구 : 외국인환자 유치업체를 중심으로 (A Study on the Strategy for Medical Disputes of Foreign Patients, With Focus on Foreign's Agency)

  • Trade between nations has been considered as exchange for material things. According to recent changes in the paradigm of global trade, trade is shifting focus on the exchange of an immaterial being. Among them, the service sector is growing fast and the health service has shown exceptional growth as the healthcare market is consistently expanding. It is also part of the global service targeting people all around the world. People visiting other countries for medical service tend to spend more money and stay longer than a traveler. For these reasons, global medical service is in the spotlight as a promising and higher value-added business. The global medical service industry has been developed around Asia, specifically Thailand, Singapore, India, etc. Compared to them, Korea has come late into the market of global healthcare and the Korean government is striving to attract foreign patients. Nevertheless, there is a lack of effort to make foreign patients visiting Korea revisit Korea. Regarding foreign patients' medical disputes, these are not yet a problem officially; however, the government cannot leave the matter as it is. Medical dispute related with foreign patients is a highly complex issue due to different languages, nationalities, cultures, etc. Particularly, Korea's medical tourism is developed with Chinese visiting Korea for plastic surgery and cosmetic procedure. Thus, the Korean medical tourism market can be crowded with a lot of minor medical agencies, so-called brokers, getting foreign patients connected to the medical institutions. Consequently, Korea has received a large number of complaints and dissatisfaction. No one can predict and know what's supposed to happen in the future. Efforts of the Korean government and medical institute attracting foreign patients could be in vain. In order to take a step forward, this paper will do research on present conditions and look for strategies of improving this industry, focusing on the part of medical agency and contributing to the improvement of the Korean medical tourism industry.

  • 국가의 브랜드 파워와 국가 이미지를 강화시킬 수 있는 문화원천으로 판단되는 신한류는 꾸준한 경제적 파급효과를 가져올 것으로 예상됨에 따라 본 연구에서는 신한류의 주요 소비자인 일본 및 중국인 관광객을 대상으로 신한류에 관한 관여 요인, 신념, 태도 요인을 근거하여 이들 집단들을 세분화하고, 한국관광에 대한 만족도, 충성도 및 여행경비 등의 관광행동에 있어서의 차이와, 각 집단별로 다양한 장르의 신한류 참여활동을 비교하였다. 연구 결과 신한류에 관한 적극적인 관여와 신념, 태도를 보이는 집단이 한국을 재방문하고자 하는 계획과 의도 및 주변인들에게 한국 방문에 대한 추천의사가 매우 높았으며 이러한 집단이 다른 집단에 비해 방문 시 지출하는 금액이 많다는 결과를 토대로 신한류가 갖고 있는 경제적 파급효과를 입증하였다.

코로나 19팬데믹 상황에서 의료관광 산업의 발전 방안에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An exploratory study on the development plan of the medical tourism industry in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic)

  • 본 연구는 코로나19 팬대믹 이후 외국인 환자의 급감으로 심각하게 타격을 입은 국내 의료관광 산업 회복을 위한 방안을 모색하고자 연구하게 되었다. 전문가 패널 에게 순위별 키워드 자문을 구하여 Kendall의 W검증을 사용하였다. 연구의 결론은 외국인 환자를 유치하는 기관은 중증 외국인 환자 치료 확대로 위기상황을 기회로 바꾸는 계기가 필요하겠다. 또한 가상, 증강현실을 통해 해외 방문이 어려운 상황에서 병원에 대한 친숙함과 신뢰를 얻을 수 있고 언택트 시대에 감염의 위험을 막고 환자를 보호 할 수 있는 원격지료 서비스를 시행함으로써 국내 입국을 하지 않고도 현지에서 의료의 혜택을 누릴 수 있다고 하겠다. 그리고 블록체인은 환자의 정보 보완을 유지하며 안전하게 공유가 가능하고 가상화폐 등을 활용한 지불 수단을 이용해 고객의 불편함을 최소화 할 수 있고 마지막으로 스마트 헬스 케어는 장소와 관계없이 환자를 관리하고 정보를 제공 할 수 있다.

Influence on the Use Intention of Alipay Payment Service by Chinese Tourists Visiting Korea

  • Purpose: In the past, the South Korean government made various efforts to attract Chinese tourists, resulting in gradually more inbound tourists. In 2016, the number of Chinese tourists to South Korea peaked at 8.06 million and became the top source market. Nevertheless, increasing numbers of consumers choose to adopt the mobile payment tool instead of cash and credit cards in modern times with developed IT services. Research design, data, and methodology: IBM SPSS AMOS 23.0 and IBM Statistics 23.0 were used to analyze the data, which was collected from hotel employees in China from March 25 to May 10. Results: First, Interactivity, security, convenience, local information supply and user interface had positive effects on satisfaction and reliability. Second, it was believed that the convenience of Alipay played a positive role in increasing reliability and satisfaction through verification. Third, the role of use rate was found to be important in the development of Alipay functions. Conclusions: Based on the result, an analysis on the development of the Alipay market and the use of Alipay in South Korea is warranted. Furthermore, this paper will serve as a basis for flexible strategic plans for the development of Alipay and SMEs in South Korea.

A Comparison between Korean and Chinese Consumers in Service Quality Evaluation: Focused on the Multiplex Cinema

  • Purpose: Our purpose in this study is to compare the SERVQUAL, SERVPERF, and non-difference score measures and to find out which one is better for measuring the service quality of the multiplex cinema service. We also aim to analyze the structural relationships between service quality, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Methodology: For the study, we collected data from respondents who have used the multiplex cinema services and conducted an empirical test. SPSS 18.0 was used for descriptive frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis, AMOS 18.0 was used for structural equation modeling analysis of causal relationships among variables introduced in research hypotheses. Results: The main results of this study are as follows. First, we found that the non-difference score measure provided a much better model than did other service-measuring models (SERVQUAL, SERVPERF) in Korean and Chinese multiplex cinema. Second, two service-quality factors (Korea-tangibles and assurance vs. China-tangibles and empathy) between the multiplex cinema service quality factors significantly influenced customer satisfaction, which had a significant effect on customer loyalty in Korean and Chinese multiplex cinema. Conclusions: Based on the results, the authors discuss the implications and limitations of this study and future research directions at the end of the paper.

Buying Korean Products through Overseas Direct Purchase as a Distribution Means in China

  • Purpose: This study focuses on the buying Korean products by Chinese consumers through overseas direct purchase as a distribution means (tool) because they are interested in Korean products because of their excellence. Major variables are national brand, curiosity, price, product quality. Research design, data, and methodology: To make effective analysis, several tools and programs for analysis are used with SPSS Statistics ver. 23.0 and AMOS 23.0. Results: National brand, price, product quality have affirmative impacts on satisfaction and repurchase through overseas direct purchase. But curiosity does not have. Among them the most important variable is product quality. This is the same as Chinese consumers think product quality is the most valuable one when buying Korean products through overseas direct purchase. Next one is price. The last one is a national brand. Conclusions: Among the variables of overseas direct purchase, product quality has the biggest impact on satisfaction and repurchase positively. This means that many Chinese consumers are interested in product quality manufactured in Korea. Also Korean product quality is better than that of China until now. Korean companies should, strongly and continuously, have to improve the quality of Korean products because China focuses on product quality in the distribution process in the national base.

Constructing Tall Buildings in China: With a Focus on Shanghai

  • This paper examines China's rapid shift from low-rise to high-rise urban development, focusing on Shanghai as a case study. It provides a detailed analysis of the rapid vertical developments over the past five decades, highlighting gradual and sudden tall building changes. The study also surveys tall building development in the ten "tallest cities" across China, including Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan, Chongqing, Chengdu, Shenyang, Hangzhou, and Nanning, while listing the tallest ten buildings in each city. The focus is on the drivers behind these towering structures: globalization, an economic powerhouse, and finance center, urbanization and population density, architectural innovation and ambition, competition and prestige, land availability and utilization, government support and planning, and tourism. The paper critically examines the sustainability of this trend in light of new Chinese policies restricting the construction of high-rise buildings exceeding 500m and 250m in smaller cities due to safety and security concerns. This prompts a reflection on the long-term viability and implications of the predominantly high-rise trajectory in urban development.

  • 투어리즘 혹은 여행은 타지를 방문하는 사람들의 각종 서비스들의 집합으로 이루어진다. 결제는 이와 같은 활동들이 종료되는 시점을 표시하고 다음 활동으로 이어지는 접점이 된다. 최근 모바일 핀테크(Fintech) 기술이 발전하면서 편리하고 안전한 금융거래 서비스가 여행의 질을 높이고 있다. 모바일 인터넷 기술의 진보로 투어리즘은 정보기술에 더욱 더 의존적으로 변하고 있으며 핀테크 기술은 이때 유의미한 기여를 하고 있는 것으로 보인다. 그러나 결제와 관련된 정보가 추가적인 마케팅 프로모션 활동에 활용되지 못한다는 점은 문제다. 벤처 창업 연구에 있어 결제와 관련된 핀테크 서비스를 확장한 정보기술 기반의 비즈니스 모형에 관한 연구의 부족은 결제 이후의 가치 창출 과정을 통해 새로운 비즈니스를 창발시킬 수 있는 가능성에 대한 이해는 저해한다. 이와 같은 측면에서 본 연구를 통해 스마트 투어리즘 이론(Theory of Smart Tourism)과 서비스 지배 논리(Service-Dominant Logic)를 중심으로 결제를 출발점으로 한 새로운 비즈니스 모델을 어떻게 설계할 것인가에 대한 답을 하고자 한다. 스마트 투어리즘은 정보통신 인프라를 바탕으로 지속가능한 최적의 관광 서비스를 제공하는 방법으로 최근 각광을 받고 있다. 보다 구체적으로 한국을 방문한 중국 관광객을 대상으로 결제 이후 마케팅 프로모션 활동을 수행하는 비즈니스 모델을 상정하고 타당성과 가능성을 알아보고자 한다. 이러한 목적으로 위챗페이(WeChat Pay)의 사용자가 세금 즉시 환급 서비스를 받고 추가로 e-Coupon(모바일 전자 할인 쿠폰)을 받아 사용할 경우 여행 만족도가 어떻게 변화되는가를 관찰하였다. 이 과정에서 디자인 과학 방법론(Design Science Methodology)이 채택되었다. 본 연구는 과학적이고 학술적인 방법을 적용하여 핀테크 비즈니스 모델의 새로운 가능성을 찾아보았다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있으며 세금 환급형 상품을 중심으로 한 서비스 자동화 시스템의 필요성을 환기시킨다.

중국 관광객의 지각된 쇼핑 경험 가치가 제품 및 점포 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Chinese Tourists' Perceived Experiential Value on Product and Store Satisfaction)

  • The influence of tourists on the retail market in Korea continues to grow, and China has become the largest outbound-spending nation in the world. Korea's retail industry must comprehend the sophisticated consumption behavior of Chinese tourists. Hence, we explored how the experiential value of shopping in Korea affected Chinese tourists' satisfaction levels regarding stores and products. Findings from this study suggest entertainment and escapism mediate the effect of experiential value on consumer attitudes toward products and stores. This research was conducted with Chinese female tourists who shopped in Korea during their latest visit to this country. CFA and SEM were implemented using AMOS 20.0. The analysis of survey data produced interesting results. Visual appeal, crowding, and service excellence had positive impacts on entertainment, and they had a positive influence on both store satisfaction and product satisfaction. Regarding escapism, crowding and economic benefits had positive impacts, whereas visual appeal and service excellence had no effects. Results showed that escapism had a negative influence on attitudes toward both products and stores. To be clear, escapism refers to the status of absorption by which consumers are highly occupied with pleasant feelings, therefore, shopping when the motive of escapism is high is likely to be less rational and more impulsive. In this study, the diverse roles of different emotions associated with entertainment and escapism in the context of tourism shopping were identified. The findings provide practical implications for developing retail strategies and highlight the importance of the experiential values of shopping for tourists.

중식 프랜차이즈의 환경요인이 갈등과 재계약의도에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Environmental Factors on Conflict and Contract Intention in Chinese Franchise)

  • 본 연구에서는 외식 프랜차이즈 환경요인에 따라서 갈등과 재계약의도에 미치는 영향요인들과 그 요인을 이용한 앞으로의 활용방안을 제시하고자 한다. 총 210부의 설문지를 배포하여 불성실하게 응답한 10부의 설문지를 제외한 나머지 200부의 유효한 설문지를 실증연구에 사용되었다. 조사연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 통계프로그램 SPSS 18.0을 활용하여 빈도분석, 요인분석 및 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과를 보면 환경요인에 대한 측정항목의 탐색적 요인분석 결과, 3개 요인으로 KMO 값은 0.783, 총분산비율 68.853%, 갈등에 대한 요인분석은 총분산비율 61.313%, KMO 값은 0.763으로 나타났다. 재계약의도에 대한 요인분석은 총분산설명력 63.453%, KMO 값은 0.763으로 나타났다. 변수들 간의 상관관계가 다른 변수에 의해 설명되는 정도가 좋게 분석되었고, 유의확률이 0.000으로 나타나, 전반적으로 변수들 간의 상관관계는 유의적이다. 따라서 환경요인에 따른 갈등과 재계약의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 가설은 채택되었다.
