Synthesis graphene on Cu substrate by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PE-CVD) is investigated and its quality's affection factors are discussed in this work. Compared with the graphene synthesized at high temperature in chemical vapor deposition (CVD), the low-temperature graphene film by PE-CVD has relatively low quality with many defects. However, the advantage of low-temperature is also obvious that low melting point materials will be available to synthesize graphene as substrate. In this study, the temperature will be kept constant in $400^{\circ}C$ and the graphene was grown in plasma environment with changing the plasma power, the flow rate of precursors, and the distance between plasma generator coil and substrates. Then, we investigate the effect of temperature and the influence of process variables to graphene film's quality and characterize the film properties with Raman spectroscopy and sheet resistance and optical emission spectroscopy.
Experiments on deactivation kinetics of immobilized lipase enzyme from Candida cyl-indracea were performed in stirred bath reactor using rice bran oil as the substrate and temperature as the deactivation parameter. The data were fitted In first order deactivation model. The effect of temperature on deactivation rate was represented by Arrhenius equation. Theoretical equations were developed based on pseudo-steady state approximation and Michaelis -Menten rate expression to predict the time course of conversion due to enzyme deactivation and apparent half-life of the immobilized enzyme activity in PFR and CSTH under constant feed rate polity for no diffusion limitation and diffusion limitation of first order. Stability of enzyme in these continuous reactors was predicted and factors affecting the stability were analyzed.
Chill vent has a zigzag venting path which allows residual air or gases to exhaust out very quickly from the die cavity. However molten metal sometimes comes out through the gas venting surfaces causing flash. Effect of designing factors of chill vent and processing variables in high pressure die casting on the performance of chill vent was investigated through a series of calculations by using a commercial code. The most influential factor was the thickness of chill vent, followed by inlet velocity, vent width and die temperature.

Five sandwiched multilayers consisting of PBT(Polybutyleneterephthalate), PS(Polystyrene) and clay were prepared to investigate the migration mechanism of clay in the polymer blend system. Rheometry (RMS800) was used to apply well-defined shear on the above multilayer samples in order to well understand dominant factors controlling the migration. Applied shear force was enough to move clay tactoids to the interface, if either long time or high shear was available, but it was not sufficient to separate into individual platelets of clay. The morphology evolution was subsequently studied in term of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), respectively.
The components of the media used to elicit the biosynthesis of $poly-{\gamma}-glutamic$ acid $({\gamma}-PGA)$ by Bacillus subtilis ZJU-7 were investigated, particularly the carbon and nitrogen sources Of the 7 carbon sources investigated, sucrose induced the highest rate of ${\gamma}-PGA$ productivity; among the nitrogen sources, tryptone had the best effect for ${\gamma}-PGA$ production. A $2^{6-2}$ fractional factorial design was used to screen factors that influence ${\gamma}-PGA$ production significantly, and a central composite design was finally adopted to formulate the optimal medium. ${\gamma}-PGA$ productivity improved approximately 2-fold when the optimal medium was used compared with the original nonoptimized medium, and volumetric productivity reached a maximum of 58.2 g/L after a 24-h cultivation period.

In this paper, we first studied the factors affecting the motor current (MC) signal, which was strongly affected by the systematic hardware noises depending on polishing such as pad conditioning and arm oscillation of platen and recipe, head motor. Next, we studied the end point detection (EPD) for the chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) process of shallow trench isolation (STI) with reverse moat structure. The MC signal showed a high amplitude peak in the fore part caused by the reverse meal. pattern. We also found that the EP could not be detected properly and reproducibly due to the pad conditioning effect, especially when conventional low selectivity slurry was used. Even when there was no pad conditioning effect, the EPD method could not be applied, since the measured end points were always the same due to the characteristics of the reverse moat structure with an open nitride layer.
Exceptional progress has been made with chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of graphene in the past few years. Not only has good monolayer growth of graphene been achieved, but large-area synthesis of graphene sheets has been successful too. However, the polycrystalline nature of CVD graphene is hampering further progress as graphene property degrades due to presence of grain boundaries. This review will cover factors that affect nucleation of graphene and how other scientists sought to obtain large graphene domains. In addition, the limitation of the current research trend will be touched upon as well.
Our studies in the area of single electron transfer (SET) photochemistry have led to the discovery of efficient processes, in which regioselective formation of carbon-centered radicals takes place by nucleophile assisted desilylation of $\alpha$-trialkylsilyl substituted ether, thioether, amine and amide centered cation radicals. The rates of bimolecular desilylation of the intermediate cation radicals exceed those of other cation radical $\alpha$-fragmentation processes (e.g.,-deprotonation). This sereves as the basis for the design of highly regioselective, SET-induced photomacrocyclization reactions of polyether, polythioether, polyamide, and polypeptide linked phthalimides. Photocyclization reactions of trimethylsilyl-terminated substrates in these families are unique in that they produce polyfunctionalized macrocyclic substances in a highly efficient and regioselective manner. In addition, our studies in this area have led to important information about the factors that govern chemical and quantum efficiencies that should be applicable to a wide variety of redox processes promoted by SET from substrates containing more than one electron donor site.

Recently, it is very necessary the development of the manufacturing techniques for high strength concrete(HSC) for the large-scale size and good quality of civil structure. But, the manufacture and quality control of HSC of which shrinkage, heat of hydration and workability at construction filed are considered, is very difficult due to its low water-cement ratio and high quantity of unit cement content. In the present study, we tried to know and assess the influences of chemical and physical properties of cement on the material properties of HSC. We analyzed basic properties of 4 kinds of cement whose chemical and physical properties are different each other through various tests such as chemical analysis and mortal test. Also, we performed the assessment of the material properties of HSC for each dement by the test for the conditions of same mix design and similar compressive strength. From the results in the study, the assessment of the important quality factors of cement influencing the properties of HSC may be utilized to quality control of applied cement to manufacture the HSC of high quality.
A prediction model of charge concentration of silicon nitride (SiN) thin films was constructed by using neural network and genetic algorithm. SIN films were deposited by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition and the deposition process was characterized by means of $2^{6-1}$ fractional factorial experiment. Effect of five training factors on the model prediction performance was optimized by using genetic algorithm. This was examined as a function of the learring rate. The root mean squared error of optimized model was 0.975, which is much smaller than statistical regression model by about 45%. The constructed model can facilitate a Qualitative analysis of parameter effects on the charge concentration.
