역상 액체크로마토그래피에서 Co(II)-Dithiocarbamate 킬레이트의 머무름 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Retention Behavior of Co(II)-Dithiocarbamate Chelates in Reversed Phase-High Performance Liquid Chromatography)

  • 역상 액체크로마토그래피에서 몇가지 Co(II)-dithiocarbamate(DTC)의 머무름 거동을 고찰하였다. 얻어진 머무름 자료들을 van't Hoff plot하여 킬레이트가 이동상으로부터 정지상으로 전이하는 엔탈피와 엔트로로피를 각각 계산하였다. 엔탈피값에 대한 In k'의 의존성을 조사한 결과 이동상중 유기 용매의 비가 증가할수록 감소하였다. 그리고 $-{\Delta}H^0$와 In k를 도시한 직선의 기울기로부터 구한 보정 온도(${\beta}$)는 765.3-888.5 K 범위이었다. 따라서 DTC 킬레이트들의 머무름 거동은 온도변화에 무관하게 일정하며, 주로 소용매성 효과에 영향을 받는다는 사실을 확인하였다. 아울러 머무름 실험식 $log\;k^{\prime}=log\;{k_w}^{\prime}-S_{\varphi}$으로부터 얻어진 S 지수와 log k'과의 선형관계로부터, S 지수는 주로 DTC 킬레이트와 이동상의 상호작용에 영향을 받는다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

피리딘을 포함하는 여섯자리 $N_6$ 리간드와 전이금속 이온 착물의 안정도상수 (Stability Constants for Transition Metal ions of Hexadentate $N_6$ Ligands Containing Two Pyridyl Groups)

  • 두 개의 피리딘기를 포함하는 열린고리 형태의 여섯자리 질소계 리간드 1,15-bis(2-pyridyl)-2,6,10,14-tetraazapentadecane tetrahydroehloride (bpyped 4HCl)을 합성하고 원소분석, 적외선 분광법, 핵자기 공명법 및 질량 스펙트럼으로 분석하였다. 합성된 리간드의 산 해리상수($logK{^n}_H$)와 Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) 및 Zn(II) 에 대한 안정도 상수값을 수용액에서 전위차 적정법으로 구하였고, 이때 온도는 $25^{\circ}C$ 및 이온강도 0.10 M($KNO_3$)으로 고정시켰다. 지방족 아민의 질소 원자들 사이에 한 개 또는 두 개의 프로필기를 포함하는 bpyped와 유사한 리간드들의 지방족 아민 고리 길이 효과에 따른 산 해리 상수 및 전이금속(II)에 대한 안정도 상수 영향을 알아보았다.

Radiolabeling of nanoparticle for enhanced molecular imaging

  • The combination of nanoparticle with radioisotope could give the in vivo information with high sensitivity and specificity. However, radioisotope labeling of nanoparticle is very difficult and radioisotopes have different physicochemical properties, so the radioisotope selection of nanoparticle should be carefully considered. $^{18}F$ was first option to be considered for labeling of nanoparticle. For the labeling of $^{18}F$ with nanoparticle, Prosthetic group is widely used. Iodine, another radioactive halogen, is often used. Since radioiodine isotopes are various, they can be used for different imaging technique or therapy in the same labeling procedures. $^{99m}Tc$ can easily be obtained as pertechnatate ($^{99m}{TcO_4}^-$) by commercial generator. Ionic $^{68}Ga$ (III) in dilute HCl solution is also obtained by generator system, but $^{68}Ga$ can be substituted for $^{67}Ga$ because of the short half-life (67.8 min). $^{64}Cu$ emits not only positron but also ${\beta}-particle$. Therefore $^{64}Cu$ can be used for imaging and therapy at the same time. These radioactive metals can be labeled with nanoparticle using the bifunctional chelator. $^{89}Zr$ has longer half-life (78.4 h) and is used for the longer imaging time. Unlike different metals, $^{89}Zr$ should use the other chelate such as DFO, 3,4,3-(LI-1,2-HOPO) or DFOB.

PT, PZ와 PZT나노튜브의 졸-겔 형판합성과 특성 (Sol-Gel Template Synthesis and Characterization of PT, PZ and PZT Nanotubes)

  • 졸-겔 형판 합성법을 이용하여 페로브스카이트 구조를 갖는 나노튜브를 합성하고 그 특성을 조사하였다. PbTiO3(PT), PbZrO3(PZ)와 PbZrO3-PbTiO3(PZT)고용체 나노튜부는 반응물, Ti(OPri)4, Zr(OBu)3와 Pb(OAc)2-3H2O 들의 킬레이트 졸-겔 합성법에 의해서 합성하였다. 산화 알루미늄 형판은 200nm의 직경을 갖는 훠트만 아노디스크가 사용되었다. 6.0M-NaOH 용액에서 형판을 제거한 다음, 주사현미경 분석에 의해서 50m 길이와 200nm 외곽 직경의 생성물 나노튜브를 확인할 수 있었다. 투과현미경 분석과 전자회절 분석에 의하여 나노튜브가 다결정임을 확인하였다. DSC 분석에 의하여 PT 나노튜브의 상전이 온도는 특이하게도 234.4$^{\circ}C$ 임이 확인되었으며, 이때의 입자크기는 X-선 분석의 하나인 Scherrer 식에 의해서 15.4nm 임이 계산되었다.

페치니법에 의한 $Y_{2-x}Gd_xO_3:Eu$ 형광체의 제조와 발광 특성 (Preparation and Luminescence Properties of $Y_{2-x}Gd_xO_3:Eu$ Phosphors by Pechini Method)

  • $Y_{2-x}Gd_xO_3:Eu$, phosphors for plasma display panel(PDP), were prepared by Pechini method which use yttriun chloride, gadolinium chloride, and europium oxide as starting materials. This method is a different way to the synthesis of europium(Eu)-doped phosphors, and it consists of the formation of a polymeric resin obtained by polyesterification between metal chelate compounds and a polyfunctional alcohol. This needs lower temperature than solid-state synthetic method. The prepared $Y_{2-x}Gd_xO_3:Eu$ phosphor particles had spherical shape and coherence. The luminescence intensity of $Y_{2-x}Gd_xO_3:Eu$ phosphor particles increased according to the increase of gadolinium(Gd) content(to 0.8mol%), and $Y_{1.2}Gd_{0.8}O_3:Eu$ phosphors had the highest luminescence intensity under vacuum ultra violet(VUV) excitation. The optimum concentration of Eu in the phosphor and optimum calcination temperature was 3wt% and $1100^{\circ}C$. The prepared phosphors were consist of particle, and its size was between 100nm and 150nm. Among the different polyfunctional alcohols, diethylene glycol(DEG) improved the luminescence intensities of phosphors more than other additives. The Pechini method proved that it is demonstrated to be suitable for the synthesis of phosphors used in PDP.

Effect of Low Molecular Weight Silk Fibroin on the Inhibition of Tyrosinase Activity

  • Low molecular weight silk fibroin (LMSF), which was prepared by hydrolysis of silk fibroin using high-temperature and high-pressure method, was found to inhibit the oxidation of L-3,4,-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA) catalyzed by mushroom tyrosinase (EC 1.14.18.1). LMSF contained mostly free amino acids such as L-glycine, L-alanine, and L-serine and oligopeptides, mainly glycine-alanine dimer. As a result of analyzing the inhibition kinetics from Lineweaver-Burk plots, L-glycine and glycine-alanine dimer showed noncompetitive behavior while uncompetitive behavior was observed in L-alanine, and L-serine. When weight percent concentration of ${ID_50}$ was compared, L-glycine was most effective on the inhibition and LMSF was also good enough for the inhibition effect of tyrosinase activity. LMSF showed a mixed-type inhibition and the inhibitory mechanism of LMSF might be caused by free amino acids and oligopeptides. As a result of spectroscopic observation with time, initial rate of increase of DOPAchrome decreased remarkably and the time to reach maximum absorbance increased as an increase of the concentration of L-glycine, meaning that L-glycine made itself mainly responsible for the formation of chelate with ${Cu^2+}$ in tyrosinase. However, in case of L-alanine, L-serine, and especially glycine-alanine dimmer, the production of DOPAchrome after an arrival at maximum absorbance decreased, indicating the production of adducts through the reaction with DOPAquinone.

  • Trace minerals such as zinc, copper, and manganese are essential cofactors for hundreds of cellular enzymes and transcription factors in all animal species, and thus participate in a wide variety of biochemical processes. Immune development and response, tissue and bone development and integrity, protection against oxidative stress, and cellular growth and division are just a few examples. Deficiencies in trace minerals can lead to deficits in any of these processes, as well as reductions in growth performance. As such, most animal diets are supplemented with inorganic and/or organic forms of trace minerals. Inorganic trace minerals (ITM) such as sulfates and oxides form the bulk of trace mineral supplementation, but these forms of minerals are well known to be prone to dietary antagonisms. Feeding high-quality chelated trace minerals or other classes of organic trace minerals (OTM) can provide the animal with more bioavailable forms of the minerals. Interestingly, many, if not most, published experiments show little or no difference in the bioavailability of OTMs versus ITMs. In some cases, it appears that there truly is no difference. However, real differences in bioavailability can be masked if source comparisons are not made on the linear portion of the dose-response curve. When highly bioavailable chelated minerals are fed, they will better supply the biochemical systems of the cells of the animal, leading to a wide variety of benefits in both poultry and swine. Indeed, the use of certain chelated trace minerals has been shown to enhance mineral uptake, and improve the immune response, oxidative stress management, and tissue and bone development and strength. Furthermore, the higher bioavailability of these trace minerals allows the producer to achieve similar or improved performance, at reduced levels of trace mineral inclusion.

황산동용액(黃酸銅溶液)에서 Aminophosphosphonic acid 관능기를 가진 이온교환수지에 의한 As, Sb, Bi 제거(除去)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A study on the removal of As, Sb, Bi from the copper sulfate solutions by Ion exchange resin containing Aminophosphosphonic acid as a functional group)

  • 황산동 용액중에 불순물로 존재하는 Sb, Bi 및 As를 제거하기 위해 Aminophosphosphonic acid를 관능기로 함유한 이온교환수지를 사용하여 비교 실험을 실시하였다. 이들 불순물 제거 반응에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 반응온도, 반응시간, 이온교환수지양 등에 대하여 고찰하였다. 기초 실험 결과 약 88%의 Sb 및 94%의 Bi가 이온교환수지에 흡착되어 황산동용액으로부터 제거가 가능하였다. 그러나 As의 경우는 제거율이 10% 이하로 미미하였다. 한편, Bi 와 Sb가 흡착된 수지에서 황산과 염산용액을 이용하여 선택적으로 세출이 가능하였다. 연속흡착실험 결과 Sb 와 Bi의 경우는 2BV 후에는 98.1%와 96.6%의 높은 흡착율을 보였다.

Tumor Imaging by Monoclonal Antibodies Labeled with Radioactive Metal Ions

  • Monoclonal antibodies have become widely investigated in the Nuclear Oncology, especially in the radioimmunosassay of tumor markers and in vivo radioimmunoimaging of cancer. However, there are numerous factors as to whether radioimmunoimaging will ultimately successful. For imaging of tumors, metallic radionuclides such as In-111, Ga-67, Tc-99m have favorable nuclear properties than widely used I-131. These radioistopes have characteristics of the useful radiation for imaging, convenient short half-lives and the simple and rapid radiolabeling of monoclonal antibodies by using bifunctional chelaing agents. The obtained chelate-tagged antibodies are quite stable both in vitro and in vivo, without interfering antibody activities and animal experiments provided a good basis for its clinical applicability for the radioimmunoimaging of cancer. Much attention has also been given to the possibility, only beginning to be exploited, of the specific treatment of malignant neoplasms with these agents. Although specific antibody has not been developed that is uniquely specific for cancer alone and there are still many questions to be answered and problems to be overcome before radioimmunoimaging can be successfully used in ptients with cancer, these methods can be applied to the coupling of monoclonal antibodies with anti-neoplastic drugs or radionuclides suitable for internal radiation therapy of cancer.

파일럿 규모의 실증실험 사례를 통한 구연산의 우라늄 식물 전이 효과 규명 (The Investigation for the Effects of Citric Acid on the Uranium Transfer into the Plants by the Pilot Scale Feasibility Test)

  • The field feasibility tests for a phytoextraction process were performed to identify the effect of citric acid as a chelate on the uranium (U) transfer into the plant for the naturally U contaminated soil in Duckpyeongri, Korea. For the feasibility tests, lettuce and Chinese cabbage were cultivated for 49 days on four testing grounds ($1m{\times}1m{\times}0.5m$ in each) in 2016. The citric acid solution was added to two testing grounds (one for lettuce and the other for Chinese cabbage) increasing the U transfer in two crop plants and their results were compared to those without the citric acid solution. When without the citric acid solution, the U concentration of plant after the cultivation was low (< $45{\mu}g/kg$ for leaves and < $450{\mu}g/kg$ for roots). However, with the addition of 50 mM citric acid solution, the U concentration of lettuce leaves and roots increased by 24 times and 1.8 times, and the U concentration of Chinese cabbage leaves and roots increased by 86.7 times and 5.4 times. The absolute accumulated U amount (${\mu}g$) in lettuce and Chinese cabbage also increased by 8.7 times and 50 times, compared to those without citric acid solution. Less than 8% of the U amount of exchangeable/carbonate phases was removed by using the lettuce and Chinese cabbage when the citric acid solution was not applied. However 52% and 66% of the U amount in exchangeable/carbonate phases were removed by the lettuce and the Chinese cabbage when the citric acid solution was added. The effect of the citric acid on the U transfer capability into the plants was quantitatively investigated by the field feasibility test, suggesting that U existing as exchangeable/carbonate phase in soil can be successfully removed by the phytoextraction process using Chinese cabbage with citric acid.
