Objectives : The purpose of this study was to analyze the dental fear of dental patients during treatment. Methods : Statistical package PASW 18.0 WIN(USA) was used to analyzed the frequency and percentage of the general characteristics. T-test and one-way ANOVA were used. Results : Females tended to have more fear than male. The first visit to dental clinic was the most important fear factor. Most of the subjects did not receive regular dental checkup because of fear since entering elementary schools. Conclusions : In order to reduce dental fear, comfortable environments may be necessary for treatment.

Due to the aging effect, older people have relatively weaker muscular performance, less range of motion in the joint articulation, and the lower sense of equilibrium than younger people. These factors attribute to their slow and clumsy ingress/egress motion. In order to analyze ingress/egress motion strategy of the elderly, healthy thirty 65 or more years old volunteers were recruited. The health condition of the each volunteer was verified by the medical checkup and also their physical capabilities were quantified by six fitness tests. Through the video analysis, older driver's ingress/egress motion strategies were classified and statistically investigated. For a comparison purpose, another thirty young volunteers also participated in the same test protocol and their ingress/egress motion strategies were also included in the statistical analysis.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify foreign worker's health problem. Method: Data were collected by interview and analyzed by using the Chi-square test and Fisher's exact test. Result: The most frequent health problem was 'diarrhea' and the next, 'cold' and 'dental caries'. There were significant differences in health problem by gender. There were significant differences in health problem, regular health checkup between legal workers and illegal workers. Conclusion: Judging from this study result, health program for foreign workers should be developed according to whether they are male or female and whether they are legal or illegal immigrants.

Recently we published new edition of 'child & Adolescent health record book' considering easy usability and introduction of new vaccines. This record book has essential and important contents for caring our children and adolescents. Currently many people use various vaccination record books with wrong and poor contents. We suggest the campaign that every pediatrician must give our well made record book to these people. This campaign can give their children an opportunity for proper vaccination and medical checkup. Ultimately through this campaign, the role and importance of pediatrician in the fields of vaccination and bring up children and adolescents will be recognized. We trust that the better record book can be made with continuous interest and active advice of all Korean Pediatric Society members about the contents and usability of this book.

KESCO performed periodical inspection every 1${\sim}$3 years to check the status of maintenance and performance of electric installations for general use (less than 600V in voltage and 75kW in capacity in residential homes) but recently a resident have been avoiding periodical check due to increase of sex crime and empty house, which more and more difficult to secure electrical safety of installation. In order to solve non-inspection problems and improve efficiency of inspection, this paper introduce the model of remote monitoring system that check electrical facilites for general use and we are developing remote monitoring device for reliability test.

사용중인 교량의 안전성, 사용성, 내구성을 확보하기 위한 시발점은 교량에 대한 점검과 진단이다. 본 논문에서는 최근 개정된 시설물 안전진단에 관한 특별법에 제시된 점검주기와 독일의 점검주기를 비교하고, 외국의 손상 보고서에 나타난 손상발견시기를 분석하였으며, 분석 결과를 기초로 국내 진단 주기의 재조정을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 비교 대상인 양국의 교량 현황을 살펴보고, 유지관리 체계와 비용을 객관적 비교근거로 제시하였다.

The Korean government had enacted 'Special Regulation on the Safe Maintenance of Facilities' and carried out regular safety inspections since the mid-1990s, consequently establishing and enforcing an effective maintenance and management system. And throughout this entire process, the government searched for new methods to increase the overall effectiveness of the system. Nevertheless, the reality is that our society remains structurally unprepared to implement a commercial mindset that views the concept of "safety" as a product that can be traded in the open market based on supply and demand. Therefore, the government should establish mid to long-term plans to implement such a system in successive stages.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors related to the dental fear based on the general characteristics, major and personality type of the 400 girl students in university in Ulsan. Methods : Subjects were 400 girl students in university in Ulsan from November 2012 to March 2013. Data were collected by questionnaire and dental checkup and analyzed using SPSS 20.0 version. Results : Neuroticism was closely related to dental clinic visit. Those who did not visit dental clinics tended to have low score of neuroticism. Conclusions : To reduce dental fear in girl students, it is necessary to make them visit dental clinics frequently and promote the preventive dental care effectively.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to report the effect of oriental treatments for polycystic ovarian disease patient with amenorrhoea. Methods: A 27 years old women, who diagnosed polycystic ovarian disease, was enrolled in this study. She received oriental treatment such as herbal medicine, acupuncture for 8 months. And we proceeded to checkup female hormone regularly, such as Estrogen, LH, FSH, Prolactin. We observed the menstruation period and figure out LH/FSH ratio. Results: Polycystic ovarian disease patient restart cyclic menstruation. LH/FSH ratio of polycystic ovarian disease patient was decreased to normal level. Conclusions: In polycystic ovarian disease patient with amenorrhoea in this case, oriental herbal medicine and acupuncture treatment make cyclic menstruation and restore LH/FSH ratio to normal level.

Epiphrenic diverticula are known to cause a series of complications. We report the case of a 54-year-old woman who was diagnosed with an epiphrenic diverticulum at a regular checkup in November 2006. Ten years later, she presented with massive hematemesis. Imaging studies revealed an epiphrenic diverticulum measuring 7.8 cm in diameter and a large amount of bleeding inside the diverticulum. Computed tomography showed fistula formation between the diverticulum and the left lower lobe of the lung, leading to the development of a pulmonary abscess. Diverticulectomy and $180^{\circ}$ posterior partial fundoplication were performed transabdominally. The pulmonary abscess was treated with antibiotics alone. She was discharged 16 days after the operation without any complications over 7 months of follow-up.
