  • Using the intent of the Android application, an application can execute other application's components. However, if interaction between these components are not processed normally, such problems as incorrect component execution and unhandled system broadcast may be occurred. In this paper, to generate test scenarios for inter application interaction, a testing approach is proposed using a merged intent list and a single merged diagram. The proposed method can effectively be carried out to check the abnormal interaction among the applications which was not considered in existing testing approaches.

Methods: The participants were 56 elderly patients admitted to J geriatric hospital in G city, Korea. Of the elderly patient, 27 were assigned to the experimental group and 29 to the control group. Participants in the experimental group applied a lidocaine patch on the fingertip for 30 minutes before a blood sugar test. The control group applied a plaster on the fingertip. Pain was evaluated using a visual analogue scale and fear using the Procedure Behaviour Check List. The results were compared using paired t-test and t-test. Results: The scores for pain and fear were significantly lower in the experimental group compared to the control group. Conclusion: The lidocaine patch was found to be an effective local anesthetic to relieve pain and fear during blood sugar test in elderly patients with DM without any severe adverse events.

  • Purpose: This study was done to examine the frequency of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), entrance examination stress, mental health, and quality of life among adolescent women. Methods: A survey conducted to collect data from 925 adolescent women in Gyeonggi Province. The measurements included the Rome III criteria (to diagnose IBS), the entrance examination stress scale (to evaluate stress), symptom check list90R (SCL-90R to evaluate mental health), and World Health Organization Quality of Life Abbreviated Version (WHOQOL-BREF to evaluate quality of life). Frequency, $X^2$-tests, t-test, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) with the SPSS 16.0 program were used to analyze the data. Results: The frequency of IBS in the women was 22.8%. One hundred thirty eight women (65.4%) had the mixed constipation and diarrhea subtype of IBS. Compared to the women without IBS, those with IBS reported significantly higher scores on entrance examination stress scale, SCL-90R, all subscales of SCL-90R, and lower scores on WOLQOL-BREF. Conclusion: Nursing interventions targeting adolescent women with IBS should be developed in order to alleviate the associated stress and mental health and to promote quality of life.

The data, which are recorded movements of the preparing meal of the elderly were analyzed by playing it back repeatedly. As results, physical characteristics of the elderly was the most important consideration; a participant with the arthritical knee was limping at the kitchen entrance due to the difference of the floor level, and a user with a bent back was working on the floor or place an elbow on the worktable to support her body. Those results made a conclusion about the common problems of the kitchens, and suggested the check list which has to be considered when designing the elderly using kitchen.

We limited the check list to libraries built after year 2000 that are located around Seoul and from 5 libraries with children reading rooms. After analyzing items by the space features, considering children's environment behavior, pleasantness was most favorable, children scale, safety, comfortableness, flexibility followed in order. It shows the basic surroundings and the furniture that composes the children's reading room are relatively favorable, but in the other hand, it seems that reading rooms lack the ability to form an environment that can adapt to children's growth, inducting new activity areas flexibly or rearrange them. there are limitations to getting the children's needs objectively and significantly, so survey research, interview research and not only studying Korean's but comparing and analyzing with foreign country's cases will be needed.

  • The purpose of this study was the development of a scale to assess the daily hassles of school age children. The subjects were 398 third and sixth grade children selected from elementary schools in Seoul, Inchon, Taejon, Kwangju and Pusan. Instruments included a questionnaire composed of a 96-item Daily Hassles Coping Scale, demographic questions, a 27-item Children's Depression Inventory, the 42-item Han & Yoo Daily Hassles Scale for Children, and a 30-item Children's Behavior Check List for mothers. Mean, %, ${\chi}^2$, Cramer's V, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, factor analysis and Pearson's r were used for data analysis. 82 items from the 96-item Daily Hassles Coping Scale were selected through the item discriminant method. (Cramer's V discriminant coefficients ranged from .36 to .79). Five factors were extracted from the lst and 2nd factor analyses. Subscales were "parent-related," "friend-related I," "study-related," "friend-related II," and "teacher-related" stress. Criterion validity of the 82-item scale was confirmed through significant correlations with the Children's Depression Inventory (r=.55) and the Han & Yoo Daily Hassles Scale for Children (r=.22). Internal consistency of this scale was high, including internal reliability of subscales. These results confirm this scale as a valid and reliable measure of daily hassles of school age children.

  • Breast cancer accounts for about 26% of all newly diagnosed cancers in women aged 20 to 59 years. As part of a basic program for cancer control, the present cross sectional descriptive study was conducted with the objective of determining the epidemiology of breast cancer in Ardabil province during 2003-2010. Necessary information on 469 recorded cases of breast cancer in the registry were collected by check list from patient's files and then analyzed by statistical methods with SPSS.16 software. Some 455 of the patients (97%) were female, 329 (70.1%) residing in Ardabil. The mean age was $46.8{\pm}13.6$ and most were in the age group of 40 - 60. The most prevalent pathologic form was infiltrative ductal carcinoma with 316 cases (67.4%), the largest proportion being grade II (30.6%), but very many belonged to grades III and IV (40.5%). Breast cancer in Ardabil province appeared to slightly increase over the period studied. The results were similar to other places in Asia. With regard to this, more widespread studies are required to determine factors influencing the prevalence at low age and also how to promote early detection.
