저소음 브레이크 설계를 위한 스퀼 소음 해석기법 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Squeal Noise for Brake Design)

  • The phenomenon of squeal noise in the disk brake system has been, and still is, a. problem for the automotive industry. Extensive research has been carried out in an attempt to understand the mechanism that causes squeal noise and In developing design procedures to reduce squeal noise to make vehicles more comfortable. In this paper, the study on the analysis of squeal noise is performed by using computer aided engineering to design the anti-squeal noise disk brake system. The first part describes the chassis dynamometer and the testing procedure, and second part explains the finite element model and the complex eigenvalue analysis. Finally, it is shown that the proposed squeal noise analysis could be useful to investigate the design parameters that affect the squeal noise characteristics.

수학적 모터 모델 기반 연료전지 자동차 가상 플랫폼 개발 (Development of FCHEV Virtual Platform using Motor Model Based on Mathematical Formulation)

  • A virtual chassis platform for Fuel Cell Hybrid Electric Vehicles(FCHEV) has been developed, and a virtual platform similar to the actual system has been composed. In addition, major components such as a motor, fuel cell and battery for the virtual platform have been constructed by using a mathematical formulation. The FCHEV virtual platform using a detailed model based on the mathematical formula is capable of simulating various conditions according to changes of the control logic and component modules to evaluate performance, considering the vehicle dynamic characteristics. Usability of the mathematical model has been verified by comparative simulations according to the motor current control variation. In addition, reliability of the developed virtual chassis platform has been verified by simulating its fuel consumption with the UDDS(Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule) FTP-72 velocity profile.

  • Urban dynamometer driving schedule(FTP-75 mode) plays very significant role on automotive emission test, due to reference point. The overall system energy efficiency of a HEV(Hybrid Electric Vehicle) is highly dependent on the energy management strategy employed. An energy source is the heart of a HEV. In order to applicable to a vehicle component, it must be need to real world test result. But, the present state of things have numerous problems. In this paper, be studied performed based on HEV simulation software in virtual world and chassis dynamometer test in real world and the result make a comparative. Toyota Prius vehicle was adapted as a modeling and real testing to evaluate the hybrid components and energy balancing management. The point at issue is voltage and current analysis for HEV battery SOC(State of Charge), and verification for energy.

DC 저온플라즈마를 이용한 디젤엔진 유해 배기가스 저감에 관한 실험적 연구 (The Experimental Study on the Removal of Diesel Engine Pollutant Emissions Using DC Non-Thermal-Plasma(NTP))

  • The diesel engine exhaust gas is know as one of the causes to produce photochemical smog, which causes damage on environmental. However, due to the high thermal efficiency and low carbon dioxide emission, the usage of a diesel engine is prevailed. In this study, the DC non-thermal plasma technology used to the particulate matter (PM) aftertreatment. The exhaust gas characteristics and energy density were investigated on the dynamometer test bed and chassis dynamometer with CVS-75 mode in a passenger diesel car. It was reported that the smoke removal efficiency has around the 70% in the dynamometer test with 80W energy consumption and the PM removal efficiency has the 68% in the real car test. The NOx also reduced the 20% according to electrode type respectively. Considering these results, plasma technology is one of the ways to simultaneously removing method the particulate matter (PM) and NOx.

  • 최근 들어 환경에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 대기오염 방지에 비중을 둔 CNG 연료에 대한 연구가 활발하다. 그러나, 가솔린연료에 비해 출력이 감소하며, 1회 충전 거리가 짧은 단점을 가지고 있다. 특히, 토크 및 출력 저하의 원인으로는 CNG 연료가 가솔린에 비해 단위체적당 발열량이 낮고, 화염 전파 속도가 느림에 따라 혼합기가 연소되는 타이밍 손실 등에 기인한다. 본 연구에서는 타이밍 손실을 고려한 점화 진각 제어장치를 설계하여 이를 차량에 실제 장착하고, 새시 다이나모미터(Chassis Dynamometer)에서 엔진 출력 및 토크를 측정하였다. 측정된 결과 일반적인 CNG 바이 퓨얼 시스템에 비하여 최대 토크 및 출력이 향상되었다.

  • This study was conducted in order to estimate the exhaust emissions analysis method of the real driving emission(RDE). The Association for Emissions Control by Catalyst(AECC) has developed a test procedure by using a random cycle method based on the chassis dynamometer. In order to confirm this approach in Korea, Euro 5(DPF), Euro 6(DPF + LNT), and Euro 6(DPF + SCR) were performed on three different vehicles to determine the exhaust gas characteristics of the random cycle, real-road driving test(PEMS), and emission certification driving mode(NEDC). Six different random cycle driving modes were generated by the vehicle specifications(e.g. curb weight, engine power, gear ratio, and maximum acceleration). The NOx emissions were increased in the NEDC, random cycle, and PEMS order in this study regardless of the test vehicles. The random cycle method has the advantage because it utilizes a chassis dynamometer in the laboratories for a repeatable data collection, and it allows any eminent emission improvement checked prior to a real-road driving test with PEMS.

자연재생방식 DPF시스템 부착 경유승용차량의 PM재생 특성 연구 (A Study on PM Regeneration Characteristics of Diesel Passenger Vehicle with Passive Regeneration DPF System)

  • New diesel engines equipped with common-rail injection systems and advanced engine management control allow drastic decreases in the production of particulate matters and nitrogen oxides with a significant advantage in terms of the fuel consumption and $CO_2$ emissions. Nevertheless, the contribution of exhaust gas after treatment in the ultra low emission vehicles conception has become unavoidable today. Recently the passive type DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter Trap) system for diesel passenger vehicle has been manufactured into mass production from a French automotive maker since the year of 2000. This passive DPF system fully relies on the catalytic effects from additives blended into the diesel fuel and additives injected into the DPF system. In this study, the effects of PM regeneration in the commercial diesel passenger vehicle with the passive type DPF system were investigated in chassis dynamometer CVS(constant volume sampler)-75 mode. As shown in this experimental results, the DPF regeneration was observed at temperature as low as $350^{\circ}C$. And the engine-controlled the DPF regeneration founded to be one of the most promising regeneration technologies. Moreover, the durability of this DPF system was evaluated with a season weather in terms of the differential pressure and exhaust gas temperature traces from a road test during the total mileage of 80,000km.

가솔린자동차의 유효방전에너지와 배기가스와의 상관관계 연구 (A Study on Correlation of Effective Discharge Energy and Exhaust Emission of Gasoline Vehicle)

  • The experiment was done on traveling at the speed of 20km/h, 60km/h and 100km/h using the performance testing mode for chassis dynamometer. The experimental method were employed to measure the waveform of secondary ignition coil and exhaust emission. In this experiment, the correlation between the secondary waveform coming from ignition coil and exhaust emission were measured in decrepit vehicle. The secondary waveform characterized by the value of effective discharge energy. The following results are obtained by analyzing the data relativity between the effective discharge energy and exhaust emission. The variation rate of effective discharge energy was largest 60km/h, 20km/h, 100km/h velocity in the ordered named. As the vehicle velocity increases, the average variation rate of CO and $NO_X$ decreases and that of HC and $CO_2$ decrease. The value of effective discharge energy, CO, $NO_X$ and fuel consumption is measured badly in case of car with failures in MAP, spark plug and good in case of car with before and after maintenance regardless of vehicle velocities. The value of effective discharge energy is to be nearly parabolic shape as vehicle velocity increases. As the value of effective discharge energy increases, the value of $NO_X$, HC and $CO_2$ decrease, the value of CO increase. The most sensible factors of exhaust emission were CO, $NO_X$, and the small variation factors were HC, $CO_2$.

하이패스 이용시 승용차 연료소모 및 연료비용 절감효과 (Effect of Passenger Car Fuel Consumptions and Fuel Cost Savings by Hi-Pass System)

  • 고속도로 하이패스 이용률은 59.4%(2013년말 기준)로서 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 고속도로 영업소를 이용하는 승용차의 연료소모량을 측정하기 위해서 4개 차종을 대상으로 차대 동력계를 이용한 탄소균형법을 적용하였고, 일반 영업소와 하이패스 영업소의 주행 모드 18개를 설정하여 실험하였다. 그 결과 폐쇄식 구간의 경우 차종에 따라 21.0~56.4ml/veh, 개방식 구간의 경우 10.5~28.1ml/veh의 연료소모 절감효과가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 하이패스 이용률에 따른 연간 연료비용 절감효과는 이용률 70%일 경우 282~573억원, 80%일 경우 322~655억원, 90%일 경우 362~737억원, 100%일 경우 403~819억원으로 산정되었다.

  • In this study, the nano-particle emitted from Gasoline Direct Injection(GDI) vehicles was measured using the Engine Exhaust Particle Sizer(EEPS) on a chassis dynamometer. In addition, driving mode were divided into cold start mode(CVS-75, NEDC) and hot start mode(NIER-6, NIER-9) to evaluated the characteristics in the various operating conditions. The Particle Number(PN) concentration was analyzed for various driving patterns, i.e., acceleration, deceleration, idling, cruising and the phases of mode. In a result, Total concentration of PN for size was concentrated from 50 to 100 nm and acceleration represents the highest concentration among the driving pattern. It is believed that the increases quantity of fuel, and mixture will be richer than other patterns.
