Because on the high-tension underground distribution line of an electric railway high voltage XLPE Cable two or three circuits between railway stations with a standard as receiving transformer facilities are established at a $30km{\sim}50km$ interval, reactive power in which the phase of a current is larger than that of a voltage is supplied when trains are not working, so when there are no loading or low loading as night. Due to the long-distance trend of the underground distribution system on an alternating current railway distribution line, the terminal voltage of a transformer is over the standard voltage, and after all, commercial cycle overvoltage is continued. To solve this problem, the shunt reactor is installed in middle of power distribution lines to maintain receiver voltage meted under the allowance regulation through control of the reactive power. Also, in case that the thickness of single cable is over $60mm^2$ and length of line is about over 30km, a circuit breaker is broken by shorting shunt ability of charging current in excess of shunt current(31.5A.rms). Therefore, this thesis presents installing the location of shunt reactor for quantitative analysis by using optimum algorism for compensation and control of the charging current.

A lithium polymer battery-based 9 kJ/s high-voltage capacitor charger, which comprises two stages, is proposed. A modified LCC resonant converter and resonant circuit are introduced at the first and second stages, respectively. In the first stage, the methods for handling low-voltage and high-current batteries are considered. Delta-wye three-phase transformers are used to generate a high output voltage through the difference between the phase and line-to-line voltages. Another method is placing the series resonant capacitor of the LCC resonant components on the transformer secondary side, which conducts considerably low current compared with the transformer primary side. On the basis of the stable operation of the first charging stage, the secondary charging stage generates final output voltage by using the resonance. This additional stage protects the rectifying diodes from the negative voltage when the output capacitor is discharged for a short time. The inductance and capacitance of the resonance components are selected by considering the resonance charging time. The design procedure for each stage with the aforementioned features is suggested, and its performance is verified by not only simulation but also experimental results.

The wireless power transfer (WPT) charging system for AGV depends highly on the coupling conditions due to air gap variation. To attain stable output power with high transfer efficiency under various coupling conditions, a single-stage, DC-DC converter that operates with robustness to changes in air gaps is proposed for the WPT system. The proposed converter is capable of soft switching under the set input voltage (Vin: 380 VDC), load conditions (0-1 kW), and air gap changes (30-70 mm). In addition, a wide output voltage range (Vo: 39-54 VDC) can be controlled by varying the link voltage due to the phase control at a fixed switching frequency. Experimental results are verified using a prototype of a 1 kW wireless power charging system.
Depending on the college graduation project and graduation thesis regulations for the certification and graduation requirements, the quadcopter acting as a Li-Po battery that charges by solar energy are proposed a design method and improvements in theory. Quadcopter posture is balanced and confirmed by the position sensor, through a PID (Proportional Integral Differential) control. Battery switching circuit is composed of two Li-Po battery. Driving the quadcopter as one battery, and does not use other battery is charged by solar energy. A battery switching circuit is fabricated in a manner that uses two types of relays. Even if completely not charged to the battery is being driven a certain switch by the battery charging voltage from time to time, it proposes a method for increasing the endurance time and range.

In this paper, we designed an MLSA(Match-line Sense Amplifier) for low-power CAM(Content Addressable Memory). By using the MLSA and precharge controller, we reduced power consumption during CAM operation by employing a selective match-line charging technique to mitigate power consumption caused by mismatch. Additionally, we further reduced power consumption due to leakage current by terminating precharge early when a mismatch occurs during the search operation. The designed circuit exhibited superior performance compared to the existing circuits, with a reduction of 6.92% and 23.30% in power consumption and propagation delay time, respectively. Moreover, it demonstrated a significant decrease of 29.92% and 52.31% in product-delay-product (PDP) and energy-delay-product (EDP). The proposed circuit was validated using SPECTRE simulation with TSMC 65nm CMOS process.

This paper proposes a test device designed for developing a high-voltage multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC). The proposed topology consists of an energy recovery circuit for charging/discharging capacitor, a flyback converter, and a boost converter for supplying power and a bias voltage application to the energy recovery circuit. The energy recovery circuit designed with a half-bridge converter has auxiliary switches operating before the main switches to prevent excessive current from flowing to the main switches. A prototype has been designed to verify the reliability of target capacitors following the voltage fluctuation with a frequency range below 65 kHz. To conduct high root mean square (RMS) current to the capacitor as a load, the MLCC test was conducted after the topology verification was completed through the film capacitor as a load. Through the agreement between the RMS current formula proposed in this paper and the MLCC test results, the possibility of its use was demonstrated for high-voltage MLCC development in the future.
A new DC-DC power converter is researched for renewable energy and battery hybrid power supplies systems in this paper. At the charging mode, a renewable energy source provides energy to charge a battery via the proposed converter. The operating principle of the proposed converter is the same as the conventional DC-DC buck converter. At the discharging mode, the battery releases its energy to the DC bus via the proposed converter. The proposed converter is a non-isolated high step-up DC-DC converter. The coupled-inductor technique is used to achieve a high step-up voltage gain by adjusting the turns ratio. Moreover, the leakage-inductor energies of the primary and secondary windings can be recycled. Thus, the conversion efficiency can be improved. Therefore, only one power converter is utilized at the charging or discharging modes. Finally, a prototype circuit is implemented to verify the performance of the proposed converter.

This paper describes a study of transient characteristics in 765kV untransposed transmission lines. As the 765(kV) system can carry bulk power, some severe fault on the system nay cause large system disturbance. The large shunt capacitance and small resistance of 765kv transmission line make various difficulties for its protection. These problems including current difference between sending and receiving terminals on normal power flow, low order harmonic current component in fault current and current transformer saturation due to the long DC time constant of the circuit etc. must be investigated and solved. The analysis of transient characteristics at sending terminal has been carried out for the single phase to ground fault and 3-phase short fault, etc. The load current, charging current in normal condition and line flows, fault current, THD(Total Harmonic Distortion) of harmonics, time constants have been analysed for the 765kV untransposed transmission line systems.
A high voltage and nanosecond Blumlein pulse generator has been developed to produce an output pulse whose voltage level is greater than 250 kV and pulse duration 5 ns. The generator consists of various components such as a charging circuit, a pulse transformer, and a spark gap switch. As a heart of the generator, a Blumlein pulse forming line has been constructed in the cylindrical form using three cylindrical aluminum electrodes that are placed concentrically. Unlike the ideal Blumlein line, the output pulse of an actual Blumlein line may be affected by stray inductances and capacitances of switching and charging components, thereby degrading the performance of the generator. In this paper, PSPICE simulations have been performed to examine effects of stray inductances and capacitances on waveforms of output pulses. Simulation results show that the pulse waveform is significantly distorted mainly by the stray inductance of the spark gap switch.
