In response to climate change, each country is proposing a goal to reduce greenhouse gases in its energy supply and demand plan, and the use of hydrogen gas is a topic that is always prioritized as an energy resource for implementation. A popular way to use this hydrogen gas is the use of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and expansion of hydrogen charging stations is essential for using these hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. However, there are several limitations to the expansion of hydrogen refueling stations, the most representative of which is resident acceptance. Most of the hydrogen charging stations currently built in Korea are located in the outskirts with low population density, so the inconvenience to hydrogen fuel cell vehicle users has not been resolved, and as a result, there has been no progress in the spread of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. In this paper, we analyzed the consequences of accident damage to determine the risks of constructing a hydrogen charging station on a railroad site frequently used by citizens. The target hydrogen charging station site was a railroad depot in Busan, and there are trains, national highways, and commercial facilities around this site. Assuming the worst-case scenario, we would like to consider the safety of the hydrogen refueling station site by analyzing the area affected by the accident and its consequence.

Battery switching EVs are considered to be a promising alternative to overcome long charging time problems in the EV adoption. The purpose of this research is to develop integrated model for battery inventory and battery switching waiting times. Due to complexity of exact analysis, a practical approximation method is developed, which provides close results to exact values. Numerical experiments show that there exist trade-offs between the battery inventory level and the number of switching stations. The proposed model can be applied to evaluate and select the minimum cost alternative in implementing the battery switching stations.

In response to the recent increase in demand for hydrogen stations, the Ministry of Trade and Industry has enacted and promulgated special notifications to enable the installation of hydrogen stations in the form of the combined complex in existing automotive fuel supply facilities such as LPG, CNG, and gas stations. Hydrogen multi energy filling stations haven't been operated yet in Korea till the establishment of special standards, so it is necessary create special standards by considering all Korean environmental characteristics such as four seasons and daily crossings. In this study, we collected and analyzed the charging data of Ulsan LPG-Hydrogen Multi Fueling Station installed for the first time in Korea. The data are hourly temperature and pressure data from compressors, storage vessels and dispensers. We used the data collected for a year, including the highest temperature and the lowest temperature in Ulsan to compare seasonal characteristics. As a result, it was found that the change of the outside temperature affects the initial temperature of the vehicle's container of the hydrogen car, which finally affects the charging time and the charging speed of the vehicle. There was no effect on vehicle containers because the limit temperature suggested by the Korean Hydrogen Station Standard(KGS FP217) and the US Filling Protocol(SAE J2601) was not exceeded.
Electric cars are expected to increase quality of life by reducing air pollution and to contribute to economic growth by creating new businesses. However, electric car adoption has lagged and has not satisfied public expectation. One of the primary reasons for this outcome is the slow charging speed or inconvenience of charging a battery. Under the insufficient diffusion of electric cars, pushing business entities to construct charging facilities is undesirable for a policy maker to increase the adoption rate because of cost and management issues. This study adopts the design science methodology to interpret the problem of deploying electric car charging stations in the view of information systems. A trip planning algorithm is suggested on the basis of the theory of range anxiety. We investigate issues related to the current charging locations using data from drivers' car navigation devices. We also review its applicability to trip planning to obtain insights.
This study was conducted using FLACS, a specialized gas accident analysis program. Hydrogen refueling stations subject of safety analysis, consist of compression facilities, storage tanks, and hydrogen piping. The safety analysis of potential risk factors was conducted after reflecting the design specifications of major facilities and components, environmental conditions around hydrogen refueling stations, etc. As of 2021, about 70 refueling stations in Korea are available, and 1,200 are scheduled to be introduced in the next 2040. To prepare for possible accidents caused by potential hazards for the safe distribution of hydrogen refueling stations, we intend to derive hydrogen leakage diffusion scenarios and review their safety.

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is one of the most precious inventions of Internet of things (IOT). UAV faces the necessity to charge battery or replace battery from the charging stations during or between services. We propose scheduling algorithms for drone power charging (SADPC). The basic idea of algorithm is considering both a deadline (for increasing deadline miss ratio) and a charging time (for decreasing waiting time) to decide priority on charging station among drones. Our simulation results show that our power charging algorithm for drones are efficient in terms of the deadline miss ratio as well as the waiting time in general in compare to other conventional algorithms (EDF or SJF). Also, we can choose proper algorithms for battery charge scheduling and charge ready battery allocation according to system parameters and user requirements based on our simulation.

In this paper, the design of PRT vehicle power supply system is discussed. Since there is no power feeding line facilities in PRT system under development, the PRT vehicle must have its own energy storage device on board. For the energy storage device, ultra-capacitor bank is applied due to its fast charging capability and long life time. Charging the Ultra-capacitor bank is performed by wireless inductive power transfer system. The capacitor bank is charged up in less than 10 seconds when the vehicle is traveling by passenger stations. In this paper the design of the ultra-capacitor bank and the wireless inductive power transfer system for the PRT vehicle are discussed. Tests are conducted for the both system and the result shows the efficiency of the wireless inductive power transfer system is higher than 80%.

Recently, at home and abroad, as the demand and supply of electric vehicles have increased, the spread of charging stations for electric vehicles is accordingly spreading out. In this paper, we provide the location, price, and service information of the electric car charging station through the big data analysis by using Open API of the public data and evaluation service provided by KEPCO, thereby inducing communication among users.
Because on the high-tension underground distribution line of an electric railway high voltage XLPE Cable two or three circuits between railway stations with a standard as receiving transformer facilities are established at a $30km{\sim}50km$ interval, reactive power in which the phase of a current is larger than that of a voltage is supplied when trains are not working, so when there are no loading or low loading as night. Due to the long-distance trend of the underground distribution system on an alternating current railway distribution line, the terminal voltage of a transformer is over the standard voltage, and after all, commercial cycle overvoltage is continued. To solve this problem, the shunt reactor is installed in middle of power distribution lines to maintain receiver voltage meted under the allowance regulation through control of the reactive power. Also, in case that the thickness of single cable is over $60mm^2$ and length of line is about over 30km, a circuit breaker is broken by shorting shunt ability of charging current in excess of shunt current(31.5A.rms). Therefore, this thesis presents installing the location of shunt reactor for quantitative analysis by using optimum algorism for compensation and control of the charging current.

Global efforts to reduce carbon emissions have focused attention on the development of hydrogen energy and the development of various hydrogen mobility requires mobile hydrogen charging stations. In this study, the flow characteristics of the flow control hydrogen valve for mobile hydrogen charging equipment were studied according to the temperature change of hydrogen gas. The inlet pressure was 100 MPa, the outlet pressure to 70 MPa, and temperature condition was set -40℃ to 85℃. As a result, the difference in the valve flow coefficient, which determines the capacity of the valve, showed a difference within 5% depending on the temperature.
