The Synergy Effect of a Corporate-Level Loyalty Program Integration on Customer Equity

  • This study empirically examines the synergy effect of a corporate-level loyalty program on customer equity (CE) known as the lifetime value of current and future customers (Blattberg et al. 2009). A corporate-level loyalty program refers to a company-wide integration loyalty program at the corporate-level in which subsidiaries (multi-divisions) participate as program members. It does not merely examine whether there is an integration effect of a corporate-level loyalty program from the CE perspective, but it provides practical implications for a firm's strategic focus by identifying which value creation channels (i.e., acquisition, retention, and cross-selling), brand characteristics (i.e., size of the customer base before integration, diversity of products, and sales channel type), and consumer characteristics (i.e., customer relationship stage, transaction amount before integration, transaction period, and number of purchased brands) are affected the most by the synergy effect.

  • A survey was performed on employees of a small and medium-sized company how had participated in an education & training program, in order to identify the relationship between the enterprise revitalize and its characteristics, and to know how the program and its satisfaction was related with each other. The results showed that education & training program characteristics had influence on the enterprise revitalize and then the latter made effect on its satisfaction. It is suggested that a plan should be developed to promote self-improvement needs of employees when an education & training program is to be made, and by changing the state of facility or training conditions, the efficiency of the program should also be pursued. In addition, it is imperative for the participants to have strong motivation for self-improvement in the program, and it seems that the effectiveness of the program is expected to work in accordance with the will of the company as well as its growth and developmental standards.

노인의 멘토링 실태와 요구에 대한 연구 (A Survey on Elders' Experience in and Preference for a Mentoring Program)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate elders' experience in a mentoring program and preferred characteristics of the program. Methods: Two hundred and ten elders dwelling in Sungnam-si. Korea participated in the survey from April 1 to May 30, 2008. Using SPSS Win 10.0, descriptive statistics, Chi-square test, and t-test were performed. Result: About two thirds of the elders had experience as a mentee, and a large number of them reported that it was helpful. Compared to those without, the elders with the mentee experience were more likely to perceive that it is easier to build a mentor-mentee relationship. The most common reason for wanting a mentee experience was loneliness, whereas the most frequent reason for not wanting was feeling a burden when meeting a stranger. Preferred characteristics of a mentoring program differed between the elders who had the mentee experience and those who did not. Conclusion: This study concluded that a mentoring program is highly likely to provide psycho-social support to the elderly, Also, a large number of the elders who had never had a mentor-mentee relationship wanted to have it in the future. This study suggests that healthcare professionals include a mentoring program in healthcare services for the elderly, considering preferred characteristics of a mentor-mentee relationship.

교육훈련전이가 한국기업의 활성화에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 -사이버교육의 교육훈련프로그램 및 조직 특성을 중심으로- (The Effects of Transfer of Education Training on Korean Enterprise Revitalization -Focusing on Characteristics of Education Training Program and Organization Characteristics in Cyber Education-)

  • This article starts with a review of the organization characteristics and corporate education training program, especially in relation to the cyber education. In particular, we empirically analyzed the factors affecting the characteristics of education program (e.g., relatedness of the program contents, method of education and instructor's ability) and the organization characters (e.g., support of manager and coworker, education culture). Hence the main purpose of this article is to suggest an empirical model explaining how these factors affect the transfer of training and enterprise revitalization. Furthermore, we suggested an expanded model about cyber education training program, transfer of training, and corporate's facilitation. We founded that the contents and method of education significantly affect the transfer of training, while instructor's ability does not significantly affect. Supports from manager and coworkers, education culture, and transfer of training also affect the enteprize revitalization.

임상간호사 경력개발 프로그램 평가 (Evaluation of a Career Ladder Program for Nurses in a Hospital)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to assess the efficacy and usefulness of the career ladder program in a hospital and to evaluate nurses' satisfaction with the program. Methods: The study was conducted using a survey consisting of 14 questions on the appropriateness, necessity and usefulness of the career ladder program. The data were gathered from 403 nurses in a hospital. We assessed differences in responses according to the participants' workplace, age, educational background, marital status, experience (total years and years at current working place). We analyzed the data using SPSS/WIN 12.0. Results: Nurses acknowledged that the career ladder program is necessary and profitable within the nursing field, but they worried about the appropriateness of the nurse's role at each career level and rationality of the portfolio. The study also identified nurses' characteristics that were significant factors in explaining nurses' satisfaction with the career ladder program. Finally, we identified complaints and improvements for the program. Conclusion: We assessed differences in attitude towards the career ladder program according to nurses' characteristics.

  • This paper presents the characteristics analysis of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors(IPMSMs). The development of this program is based on Matlab. In oder to achieve the development of the program, basis algorithm for IPMSMs analysis took advantage of equivalent magnetic circuit analysis technique. The equivalent magnetic circuit analysis for IPMSMs are based on a rotate synchronous d-q reference frame. The mathematical model of the d-q frame voltage equations is used frequently for the analysis of IPMSMs. This program can consider a cross saturation effect and a iron loss and mechanical loss, and provide fast analysis results of IPMSMs characteristics.

  • When an escalator is developed or modified for improved performance, estimation of dynamic characteristics of the escalator is required. But modeling of the escalator for a design purpose is very difficult and time consuming process. Especially, it is very difficult for the designer to use the simulation model during design process because it takes time and also the designer needs to know how to use the simulation program. In order to solve these problems, a graphic user interface program that can predict dynamic characteristics of an escalator is developed for the designer. Since this program has the necessary complicated escalator model inside, the designer does not have to know how to use the simulation program and design parameters can be obtained while design is in progress. The developed designer oriented interface program is explained and an example is shown.

  • Increasing importance is being attached to the idea of measuring software characteristics. This paper deals with following things. First, a relation of program and flow graph is discussed. It describes a theoretic complexity measure and illustrates how it can be used to manage and control program complexity. Second, cyclomatic complexity measure is discussed. The complexity is independent of physical size and depends only on the decision structure of a program. Third, consider a knot which defines crossing point and provide the ordering of the nodes to make the transition from a two dimensional graph to a one dimensional program. A program modules that can improve FORTRAN IV program text is tested by knot counting and its control complexity is improved.

소프트웨어 개발 인재 양성을 위한 부트캠프 사례 연구 (A Case Study of Bootcamp Program for Software Developer)

  • 소프트웨어 개발 인력의 필요성이 높아지면서, 다양한 교육 프로그램들이 등장하고 있으며, 그 중 신병캠프를 의미하는 부트캠프(bootcamp) 스타일의 교육 프로그램의 인기가 두드러지고 있다. 하지만 기존의 소프트웨어 개발 교육 프로그램들과는 운영 방식이나 형태가 완전히 다름에도 불구하고, 교육 프로그램으로써 부트캠프를 분석한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 부트캠프형 소프트웨어 개발자 교육에 대한 사례 연구를 통해 해당 교육 프로그램의 주요 요소를 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 A사의 부트캠프 프로그램 X의 수료자 7명을 대상으로 인터뷰를 진행한 뒤, 부트캠프형 교육의 7가지 특징을 도출하였다. 집중 이론 교육, 성장과 성취감, 팀 프로젝트 기반 학습, 커뮤니티 특성, 집단 압력, 피로도와 압박감, 비대면 특수성. 도출한 특징을 바탕으로 부트캠프형 교육의 장점과 개선점에 대해 기술하고, 부트캠프형 소프트웨어 개발자 교육이 나아갈 방향에 대해 논하였다.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the implication for the return farm and rural training program through the analyzed trainees' satisfaction and general characteristics. This study polled 89 trainees who presented the Return farm and rural training program by Jeju Agricultural Research and Extension Service. and the results of analysis are as follows. First, trainees' general characteristics appeared very various at an age structure, stage and type of return farm and rural. Second, the overall satisfaction level for the training program was normal but it was different according to the trainees' general characteristics, stage and type of Return farm and rural. This result was due to the unilateral training program. Consequently, it required a lot of efforts for the improvement of satisfaction through reflecting the trainees' properties in the training plan.
