Hypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy classically consists of clubbing of the fingers and toes, periosteal new bone formation in the tubular bones, painful swelling of limbs, arthralgia and arthritis. Its pathogenesis is uncertain, but it is usually associated with malignant or inflammatory intrathoracic disease. We recently experienced a patient with the characteristic findings of this rare disease on bone scintigraphy using $^{99m}Tc-MDP$(methylene diphosphonate).

Fibromuscular dysplasiais an uncommon condition of idiopathic, non-inflammatory and non-atherosclerotic disease of the musculature of arterial walls. The disease is rare, but it commonly affects young and middle aged women. Isolated intracranial cerebral fibromuscular dysplasia is extremely rare because cerebral fibromuscular dysplasia usually affects extracranial vessels. A 20-year-old woman was admitted with light hemiplegia and global aphasia. Brain MRI and MRA demonstrated acute left middle cerebral artery territory infarction with a multifocal stenosis and dilatation of the left middle cerebra artery and left internal carotid. The characteristic conventional cerebral angiographic findings demonstrated a typical string-of-beads appearance in the left distal internal carotid artery and proxiaml portion of the left middle cerebral artery, which suggested a medial type fibromuscular dysplasia. We report a case of isolated intracranial fibromuscular dysplasia with left middle cerebral artery territory infarction. Fibromuscular dysplasia should he considered as a stroke risk factors in children and young adults, especially in patients with no known cardiovascular risk factors.

Welding deformations injure the beauty of appearance of a structure, decrease its buckling strength and prevent increase of productivity. Welding deformations of real structures are complicated and the accurate prediction of welding deformations has been a difficult problem. This study proposes a method to predict the welding deformations of large structures accurately and practically based on the simplified thermal elasto-plastic analysis method. The proposed method combines the inherent strain theory with the numerical or theoretical analysis method and the experimental results. The weld joint is assumed to be divided into 3 regions such as inherent strain region, material softening region and base metal region. Characteristic material properties are used in structural modeling and analysis for reasonable simplification. Calculated results by this method show good agreement with the experimental results. It was proven that this method gives an accurate and efficient solution for the problem of welding deformation calculation of large structures.

Some canine typical Sertoli cell tumors (SCT) induce signs of hyperestrinism. However, whether variant lipid-rich SCTs have signs of hyperestrinism remains largely unknown. In the present study, an 11-year-old male Pekingese dog showed significantly elevated serum estrogen and characteristic signs of hyperestrinism such as gynecomastia and alopecia. Cytological, radiological and ultrasound examinations found testicular mass, prostatitis with squamous metaplasia, and cystitis. Pathologically, the tumor lesions consisted mainly of lipid-rich tumor cells with signet-ring appearance, which were immunohistochemically positive for vimentin and anti-$M{\ddot{u}}llerian$ hormone. Based on the findings, a diagnosis of lipid-rich Sertoli cell tumor was established. In conclusion, a canine lipid-rich SCT induced signs of hyperestrinism and caused prostatitis via squamous metaplasia due to its excessive secretion of estrogen.

The present study concerns the stern slamming load of container carriers, with stern bulb arrangement variation. First, a series of wedge drop tests were conducted using simple wedge models with fixed deadrise angles, and tests with the cross-section models of practical container carrier sterns were followed. The deadrise angle of the simple wedge ranged from 0° to 10°. The pressure measurement results of the simple wedge drop tests were distributed between empirical formula and analytic solution, so the experimental setup was validated. In the cases of practical hull cross-sections, the water entry of the bulb prior to that of the transom resulted in characteristic water film generation and delayed pressure peak appearance. The trapped air between the bulbs damped the pressure in the twin skeg hull case, reducing the pressure peak and causing the pressure oscillation during water entry.

Northeast Asia comprises many characteristic cultural areas including China, Mongolia, Korea and Japan. These areas have their own traditional food cultures, and Korea is known as the home of fermented foods in this region. The origin of Northeast Asian fermented foods, cereal alcoholic beverages, fermented vegetables(kimchi), fermented fish and fermented soybean products were investigated in relation to the primitive earthen vessels developed in this region. The geographical and environmental background of the appearance of primitive pottery culture in the Korea Strait region, and its influence on the development of fermentation technology in Northeast Asia were reviewed focusing on Korean dietary culture.

Kleefstra syndrome is a rare genetic disease characterized by mental retardation, hypotonia, and a characteristic facial appearance. Furthermore, in some cases, Kleefstra syndrome is associated with various anorectal and genitourinary complications, including imperforated anus, vesicoureteral reflux, hydronephrosis, and chronic kidney disease. Herein, we present a case of Kleefstra syndrome with recurrent urinary tractinfections associated with vesicoureteral reflux and rectourethral fistula, which was treated by a multidisciplinary approach.

This study investigated the quality characteristics of demi-glace sauce that is used widely in western cuisine depending on adding volume of basil which has a specific aroma, taste and some functional ability. Analysis of color differences of demi-glace sauce was showed that a-value of demi-glace sauce decreased with adding basil, whereas viscosity of the demi-glace sauce was decreased. There were no significant differences in color, aroma, taste, appearance, viscosity, feel in mouse and general acceptability with sex and age of subjects. Demi-glace sauce with 2% basil showed best score in sensory evaluation. From theabove results, our data suggest that addition of 2% basil to demi-glace sauce is recommend for commercial use.

최근 동일 풍경을 대상으로 촬영한 두 사진이 실질적으로 유사하지 않다는 법원 판결을 놓고 사진의 창작성 기준 및 저작권 보호 수준에 대한 논란이 뜨거웠다. 이에 본 연구는 풍경 사진을 비롯한 각종 사진 저작권 관련 국내외 판례 및 관련 법령, 각종 선행 연구 등을 중심으로 사진의 창작성 및 저작권 보호 기준을 제시해 보았다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 사진저작물에서 표현 부분은 사진의 구성 요소 중 피사체의 선정, 구도의 설정, 빛의 방향과 양의 조절, 카메라 각도의 설정, 셔터의 속도, 셔터찬스의 포착, 기타 촬영 방법, 현상 및 인화 등의 과정에서 촬영자의 개성과 창조성이 있는 부분에 해당한다. 반면 위에 언급한 부분 중 촬영자의 개성과 창조성이 존재한다고 보기 어려운 부분을 '아이디어'라 할 수 있는데, 사진의 주제 콘셉트 느낌, 피사체 특히 공중 영역에 있거나 자연에 존재하는 물체의 외관, 계절이나 시간 등 촬영 시점, 사진이 가장 멋있게 나올 수 있는 촬영 장소, 가로나 세로 앵글의 선택 여부는 일종의 아이디어로 볼 수 있다. 사진의 경우 예외적으로 사진촬영에 들인 노력에 대한 보상이 이루어져야 한다는 주장도 있지만, 본 연구를 통해 저작권법은 사진저작물에 있어서도 일관되게 '아이디어'가 아닌 '창작적 표현'만을 보호해 줌을 확인할 수 있었다.

According as the fashion at the latter half part of the 20th century is diversified and made into high-class gradually, it is demanding the individuality of each one. Especially, since the beginning of 1980s, fashion came to represent the restoration mood in a modern style because of the popularization of post-modernism. And with this, it came to result in the reappearance of minimalism which was one of anti-culture in 1960s. In this study, this researcher grasped the appearance background, concept and structural concept of minimalism, and tried to study the influence that he minimalism had on fashion in the flow of fashion over the first half period of the 20th century. Minimalism is the fine art trend of American characteristic which quicked by the meeting of European culture and American culture, according as the new avant-grade art of Europe moved to America after World War II Minimalism which appeared, refusing the mechanisation, industrialization and mass production of America and the falsehood of consciousness and sensitivity under existing system remained obscure by the pop art which is the commercial fine art of same period, but it came to expand the domain of work possibility of modern fine art, and it became the basis of appearance of post-modernism. Minimalism has 4 kinds of structural features which are nonside nature, repetitiousness and environment nature with 3 dimensional feature which is issue nature. Minimalism is appearing in the exfcellent and future-oriented fashon of Andre Kureju t the time of 1960 well. Then science revolution and minimalism aroused the mini-revolution, and they made the compact radio in electric home appliances and the miniskirt in fashion appear. The features of minimal fashion as Retro '60' which appeared in the decedent mood with the 21st century just before on are as follows: First, the are the pursuit of concise plastic line. Second, it is the use of high tech material Third, the miniaturization in size amy be enumerated. Minimal fashion will appear s the positive confrontation from of mankind as the optimistic viewpoint about feature in the situation hat environment was destroyed and the resources were exhausted.
