The purpose of this study is to classify men in their 20s by their sex role attitudes, and to study their appearance management behavior and inner characteristic variables such as socio-cultural attitudes on appearance and bodily image, which are expected to influence the appearance management behavior of each classified group. For this, a survey of 393 males in the 20s in Seoul and metropolitan areas was conducted. Factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and F-test were conducted on the data. First, as a result of analysis on sex role attitudes, four groups were categorized: Masculinity, Femininity, Androgyny and Undifferentiation. Second, the analysis of individual variables resulted in appearance management behavior being separated into five categories: Interests in fashion, Proper choice of clothing, Importance of bodily attractiveness, Pursuit for personality and Complementation of physical weaknesses. The socio-cultural attitude on 'appearance' was sub-categorized into Internalization, and Awareness, while 'body image' was divided into Cognitive behavioral and Affective aspects. Regarding differences in socio-cultural attitudes for appearance, body image and metro-sexual lifestyle attitudes, the androgyny group produced the highest scores. Based on these results, it can be concluded that people who take care of their physical appearance, cope effectively with social and circumstantial requirements for happiness and success, and respond flexibly and affirmatively.

Acromegaloid Facial Appearance syndrome is a very rare syndrome combining acromegaloid-like facial appearance, thickened lips and oral mucosa and acral enlargement. Progressive facial dysmorphism is characterized by a coarse facies, a long bulbous nose, high-arched eyebrows, and thickening of the lips, oral mucosa leading to exaggerated rugae and frenula, furrowed tongue and narrow palpebral fissures. We report a case of acromegaloid facial appearance syndrome in a 19-year-old male patient who presented with all the characteristic features of the syndrome along with previously unreported anomalies like dystrophic nails, postaxial polydactyly and incisal notching of teeth.

In car refinishing, the paint film characteristics of clear coat play an important role in appearance quality. Thus, Primarily in this research, the variance of brightness with the change of the thickness of paint film is investigated. Besides, as changing the thickness of paint film, the correlation between surface leveling(which is one of appearance characteristics) is investigated in this research. Throughout this investigation, we come to know that the increase of clear coat paint film thickness leads the improvement of appearance characteristics within specific range of thickness. Furthermore, the fact that too thick paint film does not increase the brightness or appearance characteristic any more is known. The optimum thickness of clear coat film for the best and appearance characteristics is derived from this research and more efficient way of determining optimum thickness of paint film is found. Particularly, haze value and waviness have more influence on vividness than brightness. Throughout all experiments, the appearance characteristics are much better at painted horizontally than vertically. These results are derived due to the facts that to obtain the same paint film thickness at painted vertically with painted horizontally is difficult and the way of vertical painting is different from horizontal painting. Therefore, the improvement of vertical painting and horizontal painting are required.

인류역사와 함께 해온 인간의 미의식에 대한 기본적 욕구가 현대의 경제적 사회적 변화의 추이에 따라 보다 개인화 다양화 되었으며, 여성에 비해 매스미디어의 접속과 경험이 상대적으로 높은 남성들의 경우 외모관리를 위한 정보 획득과 공유를 미디어 상에서 빠르게 적용 및 활용해 가는 특징이 강하다. 본 논문에서는 현대 남성상의 이미지와 특징을 분류 정리하였으며, 남성의 외모관리와 정보탐색의 관계를 정보매체 유형을 분석하였다. 또한 남성의 외모관리행동과 특징을 메이크업, 헤어관리, 피부관리, 손발관리, 성형수술로 구분하여 정보매체별 탐색 관계를 고찰하였다. 이는 남성소비시장을 타깃으로 한 미용, 화장품, 병원 등의 산업군에서 홍보마케팅 정보로 유용한 가치가 있을 것으로 보여 지며, 외모관리를 위한 정보탬색을 위한 매체 유형 선호관계를 이해함으로써 광고마케팅 전략 수립에 가치 있는 정보로 작용하리라 본다.

The modern people do express their personalities by appearance and actively use the appearance as the social tools, and the attractive appearance largely does influence the human relationship. As the appearance's importance is being magnified, the attractive appearance and favourable impression is an important standard for job performance and social position, and used as the way to reach the social goal. This study does investigate the design's kind and character of the beard which belongs to the male exclusive property and compare the differences of the impression's formation according to the beard design. The empirical results confirmed that the male beard design formated the various impressions according to the designs and their mutual relationship existed. Therefore, the beard is a symbol of maleness and an expression for the social position and personal character, whereas it possesses the very important meaning as the influencing factor on the impression's change. First, the pre stimuli were finished through the pre survey for composition of questionnaire in order to evaluate the impression after selection of experimental models and beard types for measuring instruments. Second, sixty three university students were surveyed by pre stimuli and questionnaire as pre experiment, and afterwards the measuring instruments and experimental design were revised. Third, the stimuli completed (nine beard designs) were intentionally well distributed as questionnaire by sex and ages in Seoul metropolitan and her environment. and the factorial analysis and the coefficient of Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ for reliability test were completed for questionnaire's validity using SPSS/PC+ Window Ver. 12.0.

본 연구는, 발전하는 3D 애니메이션 영상산업의 캐릭터 개발과 관련하여, 심리변화를 중심으로 감정의 표현방법을 위한 캐릭터의 외형별 특징 분석에 대한 연구로, 2015년 픽사의 인사이드 아웃을 중심으로 심리의 시각적 형태를 위한 5명 캐릭터의 감성별 외형 특징을 대상으로 분석논문을 진행하였다. 이를 위해 선행연구로 인간의 심리적 범주의 변화를 심리학자 Paul Ekman과 Robert Plutchik의 기본감정을 연구배경으로 선택, 이를 바탕으로 애니메이션 인사이드아웃 속 사춘기 소녀의 심리요소를 대표하는 다섯 캐릭터의 외형적 특징 요소를 감성별 표정변화와 감성별 색상변화를 심리적 관점에서 접근, 시각적인 표현의 방식에 대하여 분석하였다. 본 연구는 3D 애니메이션 제작과 관련하여 감성 표현을 통한 캐릭터 설정에 필수적인 외형 특징 연구가 필요하다고 판단, 향후 애니메이션 제작을 위한 차별화된 캐릭터 설정 및 개발에 필요한 가이드라인을 제시하는 것에 본 연구의 목적과 의의를 두었다.

A study for species composition and abundance of the fish assemblages in the eastern Jinhae Bay, Korea was conducted using monthly larval collection by a RN80 net from October, 2010 to September, 2011. Of all the 45 species collected, the dominant species were Clupea pallasii, Hexagrammos otakii, Pholis fangi and Engraulis japonicus. Clupea pallasii, Hexagrammos otakii, Pholis fangi in winter and examined Engraulis japonicus, Acanthogobius sp., Parablennius yatabei, and Tridentiger trigonocephalus in summer appeared seasonally. Popoulation characteristic by stations was not clear seasonally and spatially, and appearance aspects of dominant species were similar by stations. Compared our results with other studies in the South Sea, dominant species and their appearance period were similar to their spawning period. Finally, the appearance period of the larvae in the South Sea was closely resulted to spawning period rather than the regional characteristic.

In the rapidly changed 21st century when the flow speed of information is so fast and the quantity of information is too much increasing, personal appearance and characteristic image-formation is highly evaluated. Nowadays personal appearance is very essential to competition and may be considered the non-linguistic expression of self-image. The beauty action of the youth is shown to follow the object which youth want to rely on or long for and it is affected by the influence of the sociocultural elements. The purpose of this study is to identify the corelation between appearance and beauty action according to the sociocultural elements of the juveniles concerning appearance and to make an inquiry into how they pursue beauty in the restrictive bound compared with the adults. As their restrictive beauty action, the practical reflection percentage of hair-style, management of face, hand and nail control will be investigated and analyzed. Furthermore this basic material of this survey was used for the development of beauty article, cosmetics and education program. With the findings of the beauty articles in which the growing generation have a deep interest, this study provided the basic materials to the customer analysis and also the reference materials to the beauty marketing.

This study set out to make experimental clothes by giving variations to the connecting part of a seamless sweater, propose designs and composition approaches to improve the wearing sensation and satisfaction with appearance through wearing trials, and provide basic data that would be of practical help to follow-up study on seamless knit and the growth of seamless knit in the Korean knit industry. The connecting part is the biggest characteristic and the most important part in seamless knitwear and affect the functionality and fitness of the clothes and the appearance of the armhole. The investigator thus made five different pieces of experimental clothes according to the composition methods for connecting part and put them to the test by a group of experts for appearance assessment. The assessment results were analyzed through Analysis of variance(ANOVA), and the items with similar results were put to the Duncan test for intergroup comparison. According to the analysis results, experimental clothes C and E received the highest evaluation in almost every assessment item, whereas experimental clothes A did the lowest appearance evaluation.

This study analyses and discusses on the characteristic and the origin of the exhaustion method caused by the controversy over whether that method succeeded to the Antiphone's complete exhaustion idea and whether that method is similar to the method of limits. First, this study analyses 'principle of exhaustion method' which play an important role in that method in order to grasp the local characteristic of it. And this study speculates the origin of the exhaustion method by considering the time and situation of appearance and looking through the local characteristic of it. Also, this study takes a view of the overall characteristic of the exhaustion method by inquiring into the process of actual application of 'principle of exhaustion method' in a proof. As these results, this study reveals that the exhaustion method uprose not as a succession of Antiphone's idea but as a reaction to its idea, and that the exhaustion method has the recognized character of 'finitude' as distinct from the method of limits.
