  • Purpose: As part of the government's national policy agenda, one of the key initiatives in the Rural Convergence Industry is the selection and cultivation of certified operators. This study aims to specifically analyze the business performance of certified operators, first selected in 2015, based on their characteristics, and to propose improvement measures for the Rural Convergence Industry based on the analysis results. Methods: Data were collected from the certification (renewal) records of the Gyeongnam Sixth Industry Support Center from 2015 to 2023. The R program (R Core Team 2023) was used for data analysis. Results: The performance and role of certified operators are receiving attention to spread and increase awareness of the Rural Convergence Industry. While the location, gender of the representative, type of certified operator, type of convergence industry (6th industry), and main product did not have statistically significant effects on the sales and job changes of certified operators, the sales growth rate according to the management period of certified operators was found to have a statistically significant effect. Conclusion: It was observed that the longer the management period of the certified operator, the more sales increased, with a significant rise in sales growth rate at the early stage of the certified operator. This suggests that to revitalize and successfully promote the Rural Convergence Industry, it is necessary to strengthen the operator certification system and continuously implement various projects to enhance the capabilities of certified operators.

  • A survey on the understanding of environment-friendly certification system was conducted for certified operators. The survey included the necessity of certification system, difficulties in producing certified products, and general evaluation of the current certification system. Certified operators were generally satisfied with the certification system in terms of the certification standards, the public subsidy programs, and the farm management costs. Individuals with parallel production farms were relatively less satisfied than the group with full-time organic farmers. Analysis using the ranking probit model indicated that the longer the certification experience, the more highly aware the need for the certification system was. Our results indicated that policy strategies are needed to enlarge the marketability of environment-friendly agricultural products since economic factors of organic products were the most important factor for maintaining and expanding certification in overseas as well as in Korea. It seems to be necessary to implement economic triggers for certified operators to continue their certification programs by promoting the transition period certification for individual farms in parallel with conventional agriculture. Analysis of the variables correlated with the expansion of environment-friendly agriculture by the logit model implied that certified operators with the younger age and higher annual incomes were more likely to expand environment-friendly agriculture. Therefore, it might also be important to provide financial support and incentives for new entry farmers to participate in environment-friendly agriculture and establish a system to share the know-how of successful certified organic farmers.

  • The spatial dose distribution was measured with ionization chamber as preliminary study to evaluate operator dose and to study dose reduction during neuro-interventional procedures. The zone of operators was divided into four area (45, 135, 225, and 315 degree). We supposed that operator exist on the four area and indicated location of critical organs(eyes, breast, gonad). The spatial doses were measured depending on distance( 80, 100, 120, and 140 cm) and location of critical organs. The spatial doses of area of 225 degree were 114.5 mR/h (eyes location), 143.1 mR/h (breast location) and 147 mR/h (gonad location) in 80 cm. When changed location of x-ray generator, spatial dose increased in $18.1{\pm}10.5%$, averagely. We certified spatial dose in the operator locations, Using the results of this study, It is feasible to protect operator from radiation in neuro-interventional procedures.
