The new renewable energy became popular as a clean and sustainable alternative energy under the circumstances that the entire world is facing severe abnormal climate due to the use of fossil fuel, and among which, solar energy can be obtained anywhere and is not difficult to apply it into the existing buildings, which makes it possible to be widely distributed. However, as PV module is installed into a single plate system, it shows structural weaknesses which are vulnerable to wind load and give loss to design elements in external appearance. Accordingly, this study planned one-step parallel system to complement the problems occurring from a single plate system and used STAR-CCM+ V.8 made by CD-Adapco, a computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulation tool to measure wind load stability and support based on the design standards for a single plate system and one-step parallel system. Building height was limited to less than 10m and wind speed was given when increasing from 35m/s to 50m/s by 5m/s on PV system installed into the flat roof. In this case, our analysis suggested that step-one parallel system was in class 7-9 according to Beaufort's wind power classification, which did not have an impact on the fixed PV system, and the single plate system is considered to cause risks in designing wind speed in central districts because it is more than wind power class 12.
Studies and reports on buddhist temples in Goryeo dynasty are rarely In the present situation. At this point of time new excavational reports and historic records offer many materials to understand a architecture in Goryeo period. Especially, temple site have various transitions, it is of great value to study. This article attempted a restorative study of a location, function, spacial arrangement, structure, building age is based on a measure and transition of temple layout that is based on the excavational result and related historic documents about Godal temple site in Yeoju. Gadal temple site was a representative Zen buddhist temple in Goryeo Dynasty. It was difficult of access by watercourse because it was located in an inland in the upper Han River. Archaeological research and historical records has reveals that the temple was constructed with a minium of four levels[six terms]. We could recognized the central site of temple and buildings were constantly established, enovated or collapsed. It has went through many transition according as it encountered new sects and doctrines. Also it should perform various functions and overcome given conditions. Ultimately it let see greater diversity in the spacial composition, and layout. That is to say it were planed several separate areas, each was consisted of main buildings, once again was integrated into one temple.

This research was initiated on the basis that public libraries should serve its role as a supplier of intellectual informations to all users and the National Library of Korea should play a role as chief supporter of collection preservation in individual libraries. Situated in such context, this study attempted to investigate several aspects of the present conditions of Korea public libraries, including the current technical ability and technicians available for materials preservation and restoration, current policies for preservation and provisions for disasters, and opinions on establishment of national library preservation and restoration center. Data was drawn from a survey with 208 public libraries in the country. As a conclusion, this study discusses such as 1) securing collection management policies for material preservations and restorations at the level of individual libraries 2) building tripartite system for efficient and methodical material preservations and restorations including public libraries, regional central libraries and the National Library of Korea.
'Healthy Japan 21' is a new health policy that has been proposed for the 21st century: it embodies a totally new concept for its viewpoints and methods. To start with, for its goal, the focus is placed on the 'quality of life' or a life that is free of diseases, rather than mere prolongation of life. For its doctrine, the emphasis has shifted dramatically from improving the health of the entire population(the traditional approach for health improvement) to 'achieving an ideal health status for each individual. The ultimate aged society that arrives first in Japan is a society in its ultimate form for human being. Why did Japan become westernized, giving up her traditional culture? Why did she go through industrialization, sacrificing her nature? And why does she try so hard to industrialize the developing countries? These efforts are all preparation for the arrival of a ultimate aged society. During the 20th century, we believed in unlimited possibilities and expanded our social frontier. In the 21st century, on the other hand, a super-aged society(the ultimate society), a glimpse of which we have witnessed from time to time, will descend on us sooner or later. It is expected to arrive first in Japan. 'Healthy Japan 21' is intended to prepare for the arrival of the hitherto unheard of super-aged society by building the physiological basis of people. This policy is social experimentation on an immense social scale, in which questions are posed on the understanding of health, the relationship between individuals and society, the relationship between administration and citizens, the manner by which central and local governments operate, and the new relationship between prevention and therapy, 'Healthy Japan 21' may be summarized as an experiment on a huge scale directed to the ultimate form of human society, in which Japan and each of her citizens play a role and set an example for the rest of the world. Even just by considering various approaches newly suggested for this venture, one may be convinced that it is a policy with features suitable for a country that has already achieved the world's highest longevity.

Yanji city in China is a city most populated with Korean-chinese. This study is to examine architectural planning characteristics for Korean-chinese Elementary schools in Yanji city. Currently, this city includes nine Korean-chinese schools. This research has been processed with regards to three broad aspects. Firstly changing processes of school systems, secondly local distributions and networks of school facilities, and thirdly site plans, floor plans and elevations of school buildings were analyzed and examined for finding their characteristics. For this study, seven Han-chinese Elementary schools were also analyzed. The study result are as following: 1. Korean-chinese schools have followed national education policies and also maintained Korean-chinese native education methods. The schools have undergone merger and separation with Han-chinese Elementary schools. Three Korean-chinese Elementary schools in Japan Colonials, two schools in the period of the Republic of China foundation and its growing, and four schools in 1980s were founded. 2. Yanji city administers the networks of Korean-chinese school districts and Han-chinese districts separately. All school districts apply to lkm standard as attending distance. The networks are adjusted as per population change. 3. The characteristics of buildings' site plans, floor plans and elevations are simple. Layouts of the schools are - type or -type centered playground. Building plans show one side corridor type and 5 stories mostly. Elevations stress central parts. Various forms such as finger types do not appear in mass planning since the school curriculum and extracurricular activities are not seemingly active. Han-chinese Elementary schools have similar conditions.

A majority of 4G Mobile communication manufacturers have launched separated-type base stations composed of DU (digital unit) and RU (ratio unit). DUs are usually installed in the central office, while RUs with antennas are installed on the top of building or pole. Therefore, the allowable distance between DU and RU is very important for cell planning. In this paper, we analyze the allowable distance between DU and RU induced by closed-loop MIMO (mulitple input multiple output) technology in 4G FDD (frequency division duplexing) mobile communication systems. In conclusion, the distance limit between DU and RU is dependent on the frequency of the wireless communication, and the allowable distance is about 11 km when assuming the operating frequency is 2 GHz.

The aim of this study is to build an architectural landscaping design ways of vulnerable community in rural area. I surveyed scenery structures, public buildings and single home forms, and fence types of house in twelve villages which have undertaken improving environment of rural community in four provinces. They all have an inferior surroundings to live in rural village, because they were isolated from the city, located on the mountain or island, and made a living under the slate materials of roof. The central government has been driving to reform the conditions with local office, so that they may increase their living qualities and village environment to get to the general level of rural area. There are three results of this study as follows: First, the scenery of the village surveyed has a remarkable views of locality and hierarchy of layers between field and mountain, which is very identified as a typical image of Korean rural topology. Second, the public buildings and single homes and outside wall of houses were personally designed or reformed as a various types like a flat slab style and different architectural structure, because they followed only to keep the architectural code rather than to make a harmony with other traditional style buildings. When they have to remodel it again through SaethulMaul project, they are needed to consider of both architectural code and design guideline for the local landscape design image. Third, to make a different landscape view of each village and improve housing conditions, it should be taken a people participation design way.

This paper is to examine what implications the regionalism in Spain has for its national development during the last two centuries. Since the beginning of the nineteenth century the regionalism (including territorial nationalisms in periphery) has played a central role in the history of Spanish state-formation. On the one hand, a strong regional identity was related to a structural weakness affecting Spanish nation-building and accused of forging the separatist national movements in the Basque, Catatonia Galicia and so on. On the other hand, the regionalism has contributed to enforcing the Spanish national consciousness in complex and contradictory ways. Therefore, on the contrary to our common understandings of regionalism, the Spanish regionalism has both enforced and counteracted the Spanish nationalism. In the late 1970s after the collapse of Franco regime, the long history of the Spanish regionalism resulted in a state system based on the regional political decentralization.

This study deducted institutional improvement factors for respond of heavy snowfall disaster and performed AHP analysis for choosing the priority. The result of Analysis, establishment of plan concerned heavy snowfall respond was represented most important factor(Importance : 0.461), this is meaningful establishment of plan is more important than facilities, sources, policies for building system of heavy snowfall respond. Establishment of plan concerned respond was represented most important element(Comprehensive Importance : 0.175) in plan for heavy snowfall respond, it is suggested that establishment of respond plan of heavy snowfall has to need for improving law and institution about heavy snowfall. The result of this study will be useful when the central or local government establish institutional improvement plan for respond of heavy snowfall disaster.
South Sumatra's capital, Palembang, has long maintained a river-oriented transportation system. With road transportation's increased importance for exploiting natural resources, however, hundreds of roads have been constructed since the Dutch colonial period. This article examines how the construction of roads and bridges affected people's lives and social networks in Palembang, and what social and political significance it has in the context of a region in the postcolonial Indonesia, with a focus on the huge river called the Musi River, which horizontally crosses the city. After independence, there has been strong aspiration to link these two parts by road, and in 1965 the Musi Bridge (then the Sukarno Bridge) over the river was eventually opened. The construction of the bridge apparently initiated socioeconomic transformations and development in the region, including Ulu (the southern river bank)'s rapid urbanization. However, the features of regional development actually were prerequisites for "national" development. The regional development was impossible without financial support from the central government, and the local or regional aspiration for development was often supported only when it fitted with national envision. The Musi Bridge was a model case that fitted with such national envision. While it was the symbol of regional development, it was also celebrated as an exemplary sign of "national" development, by both Sukarno's government and Suharto's New Order regime. By analyzing the discussions and discourses regarding the Musi project since early 1950s, in addition to its social and economic impact after the construction, this article explores the continuities and changes in the roles and significance of the (construction of the) Musi Bridge with the changing political backstops in both regimes. Together with it, this article also aims to reexamine the interplay between "the national" and "the regional" in the prevalent aspiration for the national and regional "development" throughout the 1950s and 1960s.
