Physical sensor model in pushbroom satellite images can be made from sensor modeling by rotation parameters and attitude parameters on the satellite track. These parameters are determined by the information obtained from GPS, INS, or star tracker. Provided from satellite image, an auxiliary data error is connected directly with an error of rotation parameters and attitude parameters. This paper analyzed how obtaining satellite images influenced errors of rotation parameters and attitude parameters. furthermore, for detailed analysis, this paper generated simulated satellite image, which was changed variously by rotation parameters and attitude parameters of satellite sensor model. Simulated satellite image is generated by using high-resolution digital aerial image and DEM (Digital Elevation Model) data. Moreover, this paper determined correlation of rotation parameter and attitude parameters through error analysis of simulated satellite image that was generated by various rotation parameters and attitude parameters.

Purpose: To evaluate the usefulness of the $HexaPOD^{TM}$ evo RT system(6DoF couch) and the tendency of dose difference according to size of rotational direction error for volumetric rotational modulated radiotherapy(V-MAT) in patients with long target lengths. Therefore, it is suggested to recommend the need for rotational error correction. Materials and Methods: Ten patients with Esophagus cancer or Breast cancer including SCL treated with HexaPOD 6DoF(Six-Degree of Freedom) couch were included in this study. 6DoF couch was used to measure the difference in dose according to the rotation error in the directions of Rx(pitch), Ry(roll), and Rz(yaw). Each rotation error was applied. Positioning variation on x, y and z axis was verified and random variations were made by 6DoF couch with positioning variation. Modified DQA is conducted and point dose and gamma value are analyzed and compared. In addition, after applying the rotation error every $1^{\circ}$ to treatment plans of each target with a diameter of 3 cm, 5, 10, 15, and 20 cm respectively, gamma passing rate is being monitored by its aspect of change according to types and sizes of the target length and rotation error. Results: Mean error of the point dose and Gamma passing rate when the position variation was applied were $2.50{\pm}1.11%$ and $84.1{\pm}7.39%$ in the Rx direction, $2.36{\pm}1.16%$, and $81.0{\pm}8.49%$ in the Ry, $2.35{\pm}1.10%$ and $84.4{\pm}6.99%$ in the Rz direction, respectively. As a result of analysis on gamma passing rate according to types and sizes of the target length and rotation error, the gamma passing rate tended to decrease with increasing rotation error in the Rx and Rz directions except Ry direction. In particular, the lowest gamma passing rate (74.2 %) was in the case of $2.5^{\circ}$ rotation error in Rz direction of the target of 10 cm. Conclusion: The correction of the rotational error is needed for volumetric modulated radiotherapy of the treatment area with a long target length, and the use of 6DoF couch will improve the reproducibility of the patient position and the quality of the treatment.

Purpose: Recently, A Catcher was added to prevent sagging in Radixact® X9. In this study, We quantitatively compared general couch of Tomo-HDA® with catcher couch of Radixact® X9 using the human phantom and evaluated usefulness of catcher. Materials and methods: We used rando phantom for phantom study and set the each iso-center of head and neck region and Pelvis region for region parameter. Furthermore, We used hand made low melting point alloys for weight parameter. MVCT(Mega Voltage Computed Tomography) images were acquired for vertical error and rotation(pitch) error measurement increasing weight(A: 15kg, A+B: 30kg, A+B+C: 45kg). We selected 120 patients who has been treated using Tomotherpy machine for patient study. 60 patients has been treated in Tomo-HDA® and the other 60 patients treated in Radixact® X9. In the patient study methods, vertical error and rotation(pitch) error was measured for mean value calculation using MVCT images acquired on first day of radiation therapy. Result: Result of phantom study, Vertical error and rotation(pitch) error was increased proportionally increased as the weight increases in general couch of Tomo-HDA®. each maximum value was 7.52mm, 0.38° in head and neck region and 11.94mm, 0.92° in pelvis region. However, We could confirm that there was stable error range(0.02~0.1mm, 0~0.04°) in Catcher couch of Radixact®. Result of patient study, The head and neck region was measured 4.79mm 0.33° lower, and the pelvis region was measured 7.66mm, 0.22° lower in Catcher couch of Radixact® X9. Conclusion: In this study, Vertical error and rotation(pitch) error was proportionally increased as the weight increases in general couch of Tomo-HDA®. Especially, The pelvis region error was more increased than the head and neck region error. However, Vertical error and rotation(pitch) error was regularly generated regardless of weight or regions in CatcherTM couch of Radixact® X9 that this study's purpose. In conclusion, CatcherTM couch of Radixact® X9 can minimize mechanical error that couch sagging. Furthermore, The pelvis region is more efficiency than head and neck region. In radiation therapy using Tomotherapy machine, it is regarded that may contribute to minimizing unadjusted pitch error due to characters of Tomotherapy.
Objective: In a statistical linear model estimating the center of rotation of a human hip joint, which is the parameter related to the mean of response vectors, assumptions of homoscedasticity and independence of position vectors measured repeatedly over time in the model result in an inefficient parameter. We, therefore, should take into account the variance-covariance structure of longitudinal responses. The purpose of this study was to estimate the efficient center of rotation vector of the hip joint by using covariance pattern models. Method: The covariance pattern models are used to model various kinds of covariance matrices of error vectors to take into account longitudinal data. The data acquired from functional motions to estimate hip joint center were applied to the models. Results: The results showed that the data were better fitted using various covariance pattern models than the general linear model assuming homoscedasticity and independence. Conclusion: The estimated joint centers of the covariance pattern models showed slight differences from those of the general linear model. The estimated standard errors of the joint center for covariance pattern models showed a large difference with those of the general linear model.
We design a new actuator for high density optical device in order to control the radial tilting motion. The newly designed actuator makes it possible to control the tilting motion actively, while the coventional actuator compress tilting motion with passive spring. First of all, We present 3-dimensional modeling of actuator and accomplish the modal analysis and magnetic analysis of actuator. Due to these results, a new designed actuator has performance of high sensitivity and high second resonance frequency. Secondly, We present the 3-DOF dynamic modeling of the 4-wire spring type actuator. sensitivity analysis is performed to consider the assembling error, such as the difference of mass center and force center. From these results, the sensitivities of rotation due to the assembly error are revealed and design criteria of rotation is presented. And experimental results of a newly designed actuator are presented and compared with theoretical results. Finally, We propose a dynamic tilt compensation and high acceleration actuator for high density optical storage devices.

Background: Stroke patients have reduced trunk control compared to normal people. The ability to control the trunk of a stroke patient is important for gait and balance. However, there is still a lack of research methods for the characteristics of stroke control in stroke patients. Objects: The aim of this research was to determine whether trunk position sense has any relation with balance and gait. Methods: This study assessed trunk performance by measuring position sense. Trunk position sense was assessed using the David back concept to determine trunk repositioning error in 20 stroke patients and 20 healthy subjects. Four trunk movements (flexion, extension, lateral flexion, rotation) were tested for repositioning error and the measurement was carried out 6 times per move; these parameters were used to compare the mean values obtained. Subjects with stroke were also evaluated with clinical measures of balance and gait. Results: There were significant differences in trunk repositioning error between the stroke group and the control group in flexion, lateral flexion to the affected side, lateral flexion to the unaffected side, rotation to the affected side, and rotation to the unaffected side. Mean flexion error: post-stroke: 7.95 ± 6.76 degrees, control: 3.32 ± 2.27; mean lateral flexion error to the affected side: 6.13 ± 3.79, to the unaffected side: 5.32 ± 3.15, control: 3.57 ± 1.92; mean rotation error to the affected side: 8.25 ± 3.09, to the unaffected side: 9.24 ± 3.94, control: 5.41 ± 1.82. There was an only significant negative correlation between the repositioning error of lateral flexion and the Berg balance scale score to the affected side (-0.483) and to the unaffected side (-0.497). A strong correlation between balance and gait was found. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that stroke patients exhibit greater trunk repositioning error than age-matched controls on all planes of movement except for extension. And lateral flexion has correlation with balance and gait.

This paper presents a geometrical error analysis of wheel curve generation method for micro aspheric surface machining using parallel grinding method. In aspheric grinding, wheel wear in process is crucial parameter for profile error of the ground surface. To decrease wheel weal parallel grinding method is adopted. Wheel and work piece (Tungsten carbide) contact point changes during machining process. In truing process of the wheel radius is determined by the angle and distance between wheel and truer. Wheel radius error is predominantly affected by vertical deviation between the wheel rotation center and the truer center Simulation for vertical error and wheel radius error shows same tendency that expected by geometrical analysis. Experimental results show that the analysis of curve generation method matches with simulations and wheel radius errors.

Purpose : Proton Therapy using Bragg-peak, because it has distinct characteristics in providing maximum dosage for tumor and minimal dosage for normal tissue, a medical imaging system that can quantify changes in patient position or treatment area is of paramount importance to the treatment of protons. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the usefulness of the algorithm by comparing the image matching through the set-up and in-house code through the existing dips program by producing a Matlab-based in-house registration code to determine the error value between dips and DRR to evaluate the accuracy of the existing treatment. Materials and Methods : Thirteen patients with brain tumors and head and neck cancer who received proton therapy were included in this study and used the DIPS Program System (Version 2.4.3, IBA, Belgium) for image comparison and the Eclipse Proton Planning System (Version 13.7, Varian, USA) for patient treatment planning. For Validation of the Registration method, a test image was artificially rotated and moved to match the existing image, and the initial set up image of DIPS program of existing set up process was image-matched with plan DRR, and the error value was obtained, and the usefulness of the algorithm was evaluated. Results : When the test image was moved 0.5, 1, and 10 cm in the left and right directions, the average error was 0.018 cm. When the test image was rotated counterclockwise by 1 and $10^{\circ}$, the error was $0.0011^{\circ}$. When the initial images of four patients were imaged, the mean error was 0.056, 0.044, and 0.053 cm in the order of x, y, and z, and 0.190 and $0.206^{\circ}$ in the order of rotation and pitch. When the final images of 13 patients were imaged, the mean differences were 0.062, 0.085, and 0.074 cm in the order of x, y, and z, and 0.120 cm as the vector value. Rotation and pitch were 0.171 and $0.174^{\circ}$, respectively. Conclusion : The Matlab-based In-house Registration code produced through this study showed accurate Image matching based on Intensity as well as the simple image as well as anatomical structure. Also, the Set-up error through the DIPS program of the existing treatment method showed a very slight difference, confirming the accuracy of the proton therapy. Future development of additional programs and future Intensity-based Matlab In-house code research will be necessary for future clinical applications.

Ferrule is widely used as fiber optic connecters. In fiber-optic communications, the shape accuracy such as coaxiality and cylindricity of ferrule affects insertion loss. When coaxial grinding of ferrule supported by two pin, pin alignment and chucking accuracy are very important. In this research, the kinematic behavior of the ferrule center is investigated in the case where cone-shaped center pins and round circle hales which make contact with each other near the edge of the holes, using homeogenous coordinate transformation and numerical analysis. The obtained results are as follows: The alignment errors between center pins alone do not affect the rotation accuracy of ferrule. The alignment errors between center holes cause a sinusoidal displacement of ferrule. And the maximum displacement of ferrule centers increase in proportion to the center pin angle in the case of a fixed alignment errors
This paper proposes a 2-step Kalman filter model for land vehicle navigation using civilian-band GPS measurements. The velocity bias caused by the Earth#s rotation would be removed completely when applying this model. Because the linearization of velocity equations in this model is not necessary, the error is significantly reduced. The experiment reveals that estimated position error with stationary data is about 5m during a 15-20 minute interval. The other benefit of this model is that it can be feasibly applied as a GPS receiver module thanks to the small sizes of the necessary manipulating matrices.
