The purpose of this study were to establish the concrete function of Metro Healthy-Families-Center and to find out the function of evaluation for Healthy-Families-Center. For this study the data was collected from the 10 interviewees. The findings were: 1) the major functions of Metro Healthy-Families-Center are the connection between the Central and Basic Center of Healthy Families, support for the Basic Center. 2) the evaluation for Metro and Basic Center is referred as the function of Central Center of Healthy Families. 3) the evaluation-support function of Metro Healthy-Families Center is emphasized. To the further related studies the development of programs corresponding to the functions is suggested.

This paper examines the traits and directions of family policy represented in the Basic Code of Healthy Families. Strategies for the development of family policy for family professionals and policy makers to provide integrated services for families and the implications of such strategies are also discussed. A family-friendly and a life course perspective are adopted in order to strengthen and expand family policies and promote the establishment of a healthy families' support center. The perspectives and issues of the Basic Code of Healthy Families are reviewed in the light of a paradigm shift in family policy in Korea, with suggestions for adoption of the family policy also addressed.

This study was conducted to develop and propose a model for an organizational system and management strategies for Healthy Families Centers. As baseline research, the organization of comparable institutions such as the Social Welfare Center, Women's Development Center, Elderly Welfare Center, Child Welfare Center, and Childcare Information Center was analyzed. Based on the results of baseline research and the draft version of Healthy Families Act, this study proposed a management model for Healthy Families Centers. This proposed model suggests the city, county, and district level centers to be organized with three divisions: 1. family counseling team, 2. family education team, and 3. family life team. Concrete assignments for the teams are also proposed. Finally, a networking system for more effective management of the healthy families centers was also proposed.

Every one hopes for the strong or healthy families and happy society, The Healthy Families Act legislated on February 9, 2004, and three centers were appointed to perform as a model, before the law has been in force from January 1, 2005. The major services or programs at the Center performed last year were as follows; educational programs, counseling for prevention of family problems, and cultural events for strengthening the family functions. This study presented the general situations of Seoul Yongsan-gu Sookmyung Women's University Center for Healthy Families last year, evaluated the product of cultural events or programs, and proposed better ideas for managing cultural services or programs. In 'the division of Home Culture', the community networks were established, and diverse events or programs provided drew high satisfaction among attendants. In the future, some services or programs at Seoul Yongsan-gu Sookmyung Women's University Center for Healthy Families hoped to be helpful and made a basis for activating services or programs for other centers.

The purpose of this study is to recommend the roles, Qualification, and fostering system of healthy families specialist. In 2003, 'Organic Law to Develop the healthy Families' was legislated. The law endows the responsibilities and duties of the government, local government, and families, in order to embody the healthy families. Also, this suggests appropriate ways to solve diverse families problems and identifies the necessities of establishing social policies to increase the well-being of family members. The enactment system of this law is to place 'Healthy Families Center' under the Prime Minister, and to foster 'healthy families specialist' who have professional knowledge and skills for strengthen diverse families. The major recommend are as follow. First, the roles of healthy families specialist are a practician, deliverer, and administrator to enact the law's philosophy and ideal. Secondly, to protect the competency of those, the qualification is restricted to university and the same level school graduate people, who majored in Home Economics, Social Work. and Women Studies. Finally. to foster and qualify this specialist. the Council of Healthy Families will be compound.

This study was designed to develop the evaluation scale for health-grade of families. For this goal the related references and the programs of Healthy-Families-Center were analyzed. In the context with the goals and objects of programs in Healthy-Families-Center the index for the evaluation the health-grade of families was deducted. And the concrete items of health-grade of families in 3 parts(R: relation, M: management, E: environment) was discussed. In order to verify the validity and significance of the scale the survey for 200 samples was performed and the data from 191 samples was statistically analyzed. We suggested the application methods of this evaluation scale for health-grade of families. So the 8 types of families were came out: RME, RMe, RmE, rME, Rme, rMe, rmE, rme. Using this type of families the consulting and counselling for the enhancement of health-grade can be developed. We reached the conclusion that this evaluation scale has to be continuously developed and eleborated because the health-grade of families is one of the most important index for the effect of programs of Healthy Families Center.

The purpose of this study was to propose the basic models of the housewives' educational program for the healthy families support center. For this purpose the role & function of the healthy families support center and the cases about the housewives' educational program of related institutions were analysed. Based on of this materials this study proposed 2 types of program model : 1. the balance of individual-family-society parts oriented model, and 2. the healthy families CEO oriented model. And the strategies for the more effective management of each model were suggested.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between the perspectives of Green Growth and Healthy Families, and to suggest an expansive paradigm for the study on Healthy Families in the context of Home Economics. From the perspective of Green Growth, the sustainability for future generations, the ecological value, and the foundation of the community network were searched as the key points. So, from the key points, and in the context of Healthy Families, two strategies were suggested: First, the care services in the Center for Healthy Families have to be extended to give more opportunities to the users and the various demands for the care services can be satisfied. Secondly, the exchange of services has to be more activate in the local community so that our society itself can become a completely family-friendly society. Moreover, this study suggested a mission of Home Economics, that the study for family policy, the development of related programs, and the education of professionals for the Center for Healthy Families can be more connected with the perspectives of Green Growth, especially the focus on family, its ecological living patterns and the detailed attitudes needed to balance between industry, the economy, and family in the context of Green Growth.

This study was to define the possibilities for the community resource development. Focused on the community organization this study analized 3 cases of the community organization. Based on the theoretical concepts and the analized case studies this study concluded some scheme as follows : 1. For the effective community organization the Healthy Families Center has to give emphasis on the establishment of the concrete objects, the system of communication and decision-making. 2. The professionals of the Healthy Families Center have to possess the knowlegement of the organization management. And this point porposed the necessities for enlargement of family resource management.

This study tried to develop and suggest the program for the family friendly culture in Healthy Families Center. This study focused on specially the cooking program on which entire family member can participate. To develop the program two theoretical perspectives were applied : 1. healthy families perspectives and family leisure, 2. child development perspectives. In the process for developing the program the related literatures were investigated and the proceding cases were analized. The developed program consisted of 4 parts : 1. today, I(child) am the chef, 2. today, daddy(or mommy) is the chef, 3. for my parents and for my kids, 4. let's take a familytrip with snacks. This program is to be made suitable for the families with child(ren) in school age. We suggested various strategies for the effective management the program in Healthy Families Center such as the program manual and workbook, the time duration of program, three steps(introduction-performance-closing) of each session and using the professionals. We suggested the pilot performance of this program for the confirmation the effectiveness of the program. The evaluation index can be used before and after the program implementation. Further research needs to investigate the program for another family life cycle, such as the family with the child(ren) of preschool age or youth child(ren). In addition, for the enhancement of professionals quality who lead the program in field the professionals academy or education program need to be offered.
