  • For the Designing a Dedicated Outdoor Air System with Ceiling Radiant Cooling Panels the concept of a dedicated outdoor air system(DOAS) with parallel sensible cooling was born from the decoupled system concept, which can be summarized as decoupling of ventilation and air-conditioning functions, or decoupling of sensible and latent load functions. First , remove the latent loads from the outside air(OA) intake and generated in spaces using a 100% OA ventilation system(i.e., DOAS). Second, remove the space sensible loads using a parallel mechanical cooling system, such as fan coil units, conventional variable air volume , and ceiling radiant cooling panel(CRCP) independent of the ventilation system.

  • This study aims to build basic data for a optimization of a ventilation system for indoor environment improvement in school building. To this end, we conducted field tests and computation fluid dynamics simulations about a indoor environment in dependence on operation of a ceiling type inverter air conditioner and ventilation system. The results could be summarized as follows. (1) For the ventilation system of 350CMH, 500CMH and 850CMH, reduction of each $CO_2$ concentration was measured 662ppm, 748ppm and 526ppm. (2) A optimal discharge angle of the ceiling type inverter air conditioner system was evaluated 45 degree in heating and cooling.

  • The paper describes methods of conducting vowel analysis from a large-scale corpus with the aids of forced alignment and optimal formant ceiling methods. 'Read Style Corpus of Standard Korean' is used for building the forced alignment system and a subset of the corpus for the processing and extraction of features for vowel analysis based on optimal formant ceiling. The results of the vowel analysis are reliable and comparable to the results obtained using traditional analytical methods. The findings indicate that the methods adopted for the analysis can be extended and be used for more fine-grained analysis without time-consuming manual labeling without losing accuracy and reliability.

Thermal Environment Analysis by the Diffusion Direction with Ceiling Type Air Conditioner of the Classroom (학교 교실의 천장형 에어컨 토출각도에 따른 온열환경 해석)

  • It is necessary to develop new air-conditioning method which can be satisfied individual separated space and request of occupants. The indoor thermal environment and flow field are investigated both experimentally and numerically. This study concentrated on analysis of indoor thermal environment by diffusion direction of ceiling type air conditioner of the classroom. The velocity and temperature distribution of air in the room calculated by 3-dimensional method, which include the effect of insulation of the building and outdoor state. This analysis shows that optimum diffusion direction is $30^{\circ}$ to increase thermal comfort in winter and optimum diffusion direction is $15^{\circ}$ to increase thermal comfort in summer.

  • 최근 스마트폰의 많은 공급으로 우리는 정보처리, 인터넷 검색 등 다양한 기능들을 언제 어디서든 편리하게 사용할 수 있게 되었다. 스마트폰 공급은 일상생활, 정보통신 분야 뿐만이 아닌 산업 분야에도 많은 변화를 주었다. 스마트폰은 적외선 리모콘으로 운영 할 수 없었던 산업 분야의 리모콘을 설계 및 구현 할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 논문은 스마트폰과 X-ray장비 간 블루투스 소켓 통신으로 스마트폰을 Master, X-ray시스템을 Slave로 하는 피코넷을 구성하여 X-ray장비의 Ceiling을 원격제어 가능하게 하였다. 스마트폰 어플리케이션과 블루투스를 사용하여 사용자가 X-ray 장비를 스마트폰으로 쉽게 운영 할 수 있음을 확인 하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the glass ceiling induction factors on the improvement of the job Commitment on the glass ceiling perception and to analyze the effect of the organizational Commitment on the influence of the local medical institute and private medical institute employees. Purpose. As a research method, structural equation model analysis was carried out to investigate the influence relationship of each factor. In particular, multiple group analysis was performed to analyze the difference of influence relations between public and private medical personnel. Respectively. Result, First, empirical studies on the effect of the glass ceiling inducing factors on job Commitment showed that job Commitment was influenced by stereotype and organizational culture, and the magnitude of the influence was different. Second, the employees of the room medical center were influenced by perceived promotion, job placement, education and training, reward, and job satisfaction. Third, in the hypothesis that job Commitment will be affected by the perception of glass ceiling, only the workers of the private medical center showed significant results. Based on the results of this study, it will be necessary to plan policies to improve the perception of the glass ceiling phenomenon and improve its status in order to improve the personnel and system that women workers in the medical field can enter more senior management positions.

Thermal Comfort of the Floor Supply Air Conditioning System for Different Supply-return Locations during Cooling (급배기 위치에 따른 바닥급기 공조시스템의 냉방 열환경)

  • This study numerically investigates thermal comfort in a space cooled by the floor-supply air conditioning system, in which three different supply-return locations, one floor supply-ceiling return and two floor supply-floor returns, are treated. A complementary experiment is peformed to validate the present numerical analysis, and the prediction agrees favorably with the measured data. In the numerical procedure, a simplified model mimicking the inlet flow through the diffuser is developed for efficient simulations. The calculated results show that the ceiling return type is far better in thermal comfort than the floor return ones within the extent of this study, which seems to be caused by effective vertical penetration of the supply air against natural convection. It is also revealed that the arrangement of port locations in the floor supply-floor return system has insignificant effect on the cooling performance. For selecting a proper system, other characteristics including the heating performance should be accounted for simultaneously with the present estimation.

  • This study was carried out to get required torque data needed to design and develop a roll-up ventilation system in a pipe-constructed plastic film green-house. The results obtained from this study are as follows : 1. The required torques of a roll-up ventilation system in greenhouse are the functions of its length. The torques should multiplied by the conversion coefficients (2.0 in ceiling vent, 1.8 in side vent) in case of application. 2. In constructing pipe-constructed plastic film greenhouse, a shaft pipe is the largest essential element in roll - up shaft weight constitution which have an effect on the required torques. Therefore, the pipe should be light using nonferrous materials like aluminum alloy. 3. A planetary reduction ventilator of differential ring gear type is suitable for a roll-up ventilation system, because it can make high efficient reduction just using the first step shift.

  • This paper describes the system for detecting the tank crew's(loader's) hand, arm, head and the upper half of the body in a danger area between the turret ceiling and the upper breech mechanism by computer vision-based method. This system informs danger of pressed to death to gunner and commander for the safety of operating mission. The camera mounted ort the top portion of the turret ceiling. The system sets search moving object from this image and detects by using change of image, laplacian operator and clustering algorithm in this area. It alarms the tank crews when it's judged that dangerous situation for operating mission. The result In this experiment shows that the detection rate maintains in $81{\sim}98$ percents.

Localization for Mobile Robot Navigation using Color Patches Installed on the Ceiling (천정 부착 칼라 패치 배열을 이용한 이동로봇의 자기위치 인식)

  • A localization system to estimate the position as well as movement direction of mobile robots is proposed in this paper. This system implements a camera fixed on a robot and color patches evenly distributed and mounted on the planar ceiling. Different permutations of patch colors code information about robot localization. Thus, extraction of color information from patch images leads to estimation of robot position. Additionally, simple geometric indicators are combined with patch colors to estimate robot's movement direction. Since only the distribution of patch colors has to be known, the analysis of patch images to is relatively fast and simple. The proposed robot localization system has been successfully tested for navigation of sample mobile robot. Obtained test results indicate the robustness and reliability of proposed technique for robot navigation.
