연소법으로 합성한 LiNi1-yMyO2(M=Zn2+, Al3+, and Ti4+ 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Properties of LiNi1-yMyO2(M=Zn2+, Al3+, and Ti4+ Synthesized by Combustion Method)

  • 산소분위기, $750^{\circ}C$서 36 h 동안 하소함으로써 연소법에 의해 $LiNi_{1-y}M_{y}O_{2}(M=Zn^{2+},\;Al^{3+},\;and\;Ti^{4+},\;0.000\{\le}y{\le}0.100)$를 합성하였다. 각 시료에 대해 XRD 분석, FE-SEM 관찰, 싸이클 수에 따른 방전 용량의 변화 조사가 행해졌다. $LiNi_{0.99}M_{0.01}O_{2}$ (M=Zn, Al, and Ti) 조성이 여러 조성 중에서 대체로 우수한 전기화학적 특성을 나타내었다. 결정성과 cation mixing의 평가에서 Zn을 치환한 경우 결정성이 나쁘게 나타났고 Ti를 치환한 경우 cation mixing이 크게 나타났으며, Al을 치환한 경우 결정성이 좋고 cation mixing이 적게 나타났다. Al을 치환한 경우 싸이클 특성이 개선되었다.

  • $LiCoO_2$와 고용체 화합물인 $LiCo_{1-x}Ni_XO_2$을 고상반응법을 이용하여 제조하여 XRD, SEM, 입도분석, $^7$Li NMR을 통하여 그 구조적 cation mixing 현상을 조사하였다. 고상반응법으로 합성한 $LiCoO_2$$LiCo_{1-x}$$Ni_x$$O_2$의 미세결정상은 hexagonal layered structure를 보여주었고 전반적인 입도는 니켈의 함량에 따라 증가되었다. 고용체에 있어서 Ni의 함량 분율(x)이 x=0.3, 0.5, 0.7로 Ni의 양이 증가함에 따라 cation mixing 효과가 증가되었다. $^7$Li NMR의 peak frequency는 Ni의 함량이 증가함에 따라 high frequency로 shift되었고 line width는 Ni의 함량에 따라 넓어지는 양상을 보여주었다.

해수침투 발생 시 혼합비 계산의 오차에 관한 연구 (A study on propagation of uncertainties for a mixing ratio calculation by seawater intrusion)

  • 해수침투가 발생할 때 혼합비를 결정하는 것은 해수침투연구에 매우 중요한 사항이며, 단성분 혼합분석방법을 주로 사용한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 해수와 담수의 혼합비 계산시 발생되는 오차를 불확정성의 원리를 이용하여 결정하였다. 또한 해수침투 혼합비를 계산할 때 평균값과 표준편차의 차이에 의해 발생할 수 있는 혼합비의 오차를 제시하였다. 이러한 오차의 크기는 (1) 혼합비가 커질수록, (2) 사용된 평균값과 표준편차값의 차이가 클수록, 마지막으로 (3) 해수와 배경지하수의 추적자 농도 값이 작을수록 커진다. 특히, 해수침투가 발생하여 양이온교환반응이 일어날 때 이온델타(이론적인 지하수화학성분과 실제 시료의 화학성분의 차이)값이 0 근처에서는 오차값이 지구화학적인 상태(침전 또는 용해)를 결정하는 데에 기여할 수 있다.

연소시험법에 의한 산화성물질의 위험성 평가 (Risk Evaluation of Oxidizing Substances by Burning Test Method)

  • This paper was concerned with the risk evaluation of oxidizing substances by burning test method. The samples were prepared the heaped cone-shaped mixtures of solid oxidizing sub-stance with sawdust, and ignition of the sample was made on contact with heating wire inside the combution chamber that the temperature and humidity of atmosphere can be kept at $25^{\circ}C$ and 60% respectively. Accordingly, it were measured the combustivity effect of mixing ratio and amount of sample weight on the burning rate. As a result of burning test of these samples, it could be noticed that the case when the sawdust has so and 30 wt.% in the mixing ratio shows effective combustivity, and as the amount of sample weight was increasing, It showed more rapid burning time. So the average burning time could be obtained by considering the weighting factors to the parameters of the mixing ratio and the amount of sample weight. Finally, it was compared with the effects of cation and anion of oxidizing substances and also applied analytically to the classification and evaluation of oxidizing sub-stances as dangerous goods.

Thermodynamic Properties of $NiFe_2O_4-NiFe_2O_4$ Spinel Solid Solution

  • The tie lines delineating ion-exchange equilibria between NiFe2O4-NiCr2O4 spinel solid solution and Fe2O3-Cr2O3 corundum solid solution were determined at 900, 1000, and 1200 ℃ by electron microprobe and energy dispersive X-ray analysis of oxide phases, using the flux growth technique. Activities of the spinel components were calculated from the tie lines, assuming Temkin's ideal mixing in the corundum solid solution. The spinel phase could be expressed by a regular solution with negative deviations from ideality. The Gibbs free energies of mixing for spinel solid solution were discussed in terms of the cation distribution model, based on site preference energies and assuming random mixing on both tetrahedral and octahedral sites.

볏짚 회분의 토양적용에 따른 양분 특성 변화 (Characteristics of Soil Nutrients by the Application of Rice Straw Ash)

  • In this study physical and chemical characteristics of rice straw ash (RSA) were analyzed in agricultural by-products such as the characteristics of soil pH, electric conductivity (EC), total phosphorus (T-P), available phosphate (Avail-P), and cation exchange capacity (CEC). The results showed that RSA is of mainly C in 95.74% and followed by Si > Al > P > Mg > K > Ca. The pH of RSA was high near 11 and the T-P concentration was $2,322.38{\pm}10.35mg/kg$. The specific surface area of RSA was $123.50m^2/g$, which was much lower than that of biochar. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis indicated that RSA were C and Si based crystalline. TCLP and KSLT test results implied that the heavy metal concentrations were below the environmental standards and would not impose the risks. T-P concentration increased from $225.59{\pm}12.69mg/kg$ to $593.39{\pm}17.36mg/kg$ along with RSA mixing ratio to soil from 0% to 15%. Both pH and EC values were increased with the increase of RSA ratio. The changes in Avail-P and CEC were not when RSA mixing ratio was 1%. whereas the Avail-P concentration was slightly increase when the mixing ratio was more than 5%. Additional investigation considering receiving soil characteristics based on the results of this study would help effective application of RSA to soil.

Preparation of Highly Tough Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) Heterogeneous Cation Exchange Membranes and Their Properties of Desalination

  • A manufacturing method has been devised to prepare novel heterogeneous cation exchange membranes by mixing ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymers with a commercial cation exchange resin. Optimum material characteristics, mixture ratios and manufacturing conditions have been worked out for achieving favorable membrane performance. Ion exchange capacity, electrical resistance, water uptake, swelling ratio and tensile strength properties were measured. SEM analysis was used to monitor morphology. Effects of vinyl acetate (VA) content, melt index (MI) and ion exchange resin content on properties of heterogeneous cation exchange membranes have been discussed. An application test was carried out by mounting a selected membrane in a membrane capacitive deionization (MCDI) system to investigate its desalination capability. 0.92 meq/g of ion exchange capacity, $8.7{\Omega}.cm^2$ of electrical resistance, $40kgf/cm^2$ of tensile strength, 19% of swelling ratio, 42% of water uptake, and 56.4% salt removal rate were achieved at best. VA content plays a leading role on the extent of physical properties and performance; however, MI is important for having uniform distribution of resin grains and achieving better ionic conductivity. Overall, manufacturing cost has been suppressed to 5-10% of that of homogeneous ion exchange membranes.

시멘트 경화체내 양이온 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Behavior of Cation in Cement Paste)

  • It is possible for concrete using sea sand to contain chloride ion as well as cation such as Na$^{+}$and $K^{+}$ during mixing process. It is known that some cations such as Na$^{+}$and $K^{+}$ remain in pore solution without binding In this study, therefore, we intend to inspect the behavior of cations in cement paste as well as NaCl, CaCl$_2$ and KCI through analysis of pore solution extracted from cement paste with high pressure vessel. As a result, increase of alkali ions by adding sea sand and admixtures to the fresh concrete means use of the cement contained high alkali contents. In this case, alkali ions in pore solution can decrease durability of cement products causing alkali-aggregate reaction or accelerated carbonation. So it needs to be studied.studied.

산화성물질의 화학적 위험성 평가 (Chemical Risk Assessment of Oxidizing Substances)

  • This paper was concerned with the risk assessment about oxidizing substances as dangerous goods by burning test method. The sample. which was formed with the heaped cone-shape. was composed of solid oxidant and sawdust. The burning time of each sample was measured under the following various conditions circumstance temperature. mixing ratio of oxidizing substance and sawdust. particle size of sawdust and kinds of sawdust. As a results. the effective combustibility was gained when the sawdust content was 20∼30 wt.% in the sample and the lauan with -30+50 mesh was used. But. although the circumstance temperature increased. burning efficiency of the samples wet$.$e not affect by it. Finally. the average burning times were obtained by considering the weighting factors related on the mixing ratio and the circumstance temperature. And then. it were compared with the combustion risk level and the effects of cation and anion of oxidizing substances as dangerous goods.
