This study investigates the effects of casino servicescape and customer interaction on the emotions and loyalty of Chinese and Japanese customers. Data on casino servicescape, customer interaction, pleasure, arousal, and dominance (PAD) emotions, and loyalty were obtained from 275 Chinese and Japanese gamblers in Korea's foreigner-only casinos, and structural model analysis using AMOS 21.0 was conducted to verify the model. This study empirically confirmed the similarities and differences in PAD emotions between Chinese and Japanese customers on casino servicescape and on their interactions at casinos. By doing so, this study theoretically attempts to extend the existing research framework, and demonstrates the need for casinos to consider the role of culture/nationality in the context of international marketing when targeting international consumers.

Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected from Asian casinos' HNI customers in China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. This is the first study that has investigated VIP casino customers in leading Asian countries. The research used the critical incident technique (CIT) collect and a total of 227 incidents were analyzed. Results - The results show that three main categories and eleven subcategories are deduced. The first group concerns casino service system failures. The second group relates to service providers' responses to VIP customer complaints. The last group covers employees' attitudes and behavior toward customers. Conclusions - First, the most serious service problem in casinos was the service providers' attitudes rather than the service system failures. Second, Tangible recovery strategies such as "all pay" and "additional comps" were proven to enhance a casino's image and lower customers' intentions to switch. Customers, however, preferred intangible recovery strategies such as considerate responses, reliable problem management, sincere apologies, and accurate explanations.
All measures related to the safety of the casino facilities guarantee safety of facilities that are targets of security guards, protect lives and properties, minimize risks of artificial and natural disaster and crimes. In summary, plan for responding to safety and accidents should be developed not only for the casino facilities but also for the facilities of annexed buildings, and lives and properties of customers and employees. Determine areas in the casino facilities that are prone to accidents and set around-the-clock guard in the areas or maintain surveillance with CCTV and prevent accidents through continuous patrol. These are the most basic and the most important requirements in safety. In addition, casinos which prompt gambling are causing economic and psychological treats to families. To resolve these social issues, casinos have adopted limited entrance system. To support this system, new forms of machine security systems such as video automatic recognition system of fingerprint pattern recognition system should be adopted too. In addition, security guards in casino facilities need to instill themselves with a sense of ownership as well as a strong sense of mission to do the best for customer security and to protect the company assets and employees and manage accidents that could occur without notice. Security guards should do their best to enable manage accidents that could occur without notice. Security guards should do their best to enable tourists who are on the rise due to increase in advanced country-style tourism and leisurely activities to get the utmost satisfaction from the casinos, and as a leader of private security company, establish the foundation for security based on the characteristics of security in Korea.
The domestic casino industry is attempting to change from the existing single form to the advanced-type of complex casino resort. In addition, the importance of the security management system, which prevents and responds to accidents caused by negative influences of gambling, is emphasized at the casino enterprise level. Therefore, this study aimed to find measures to revitalize the security management system for domestic casinos only for foreigners through an analysis of relevant literature and case studies. As a result of the analysis, it was found that in order to effectively cope with changes in the casino industry, three areas were needed to be revamped: (1) a lack of protocols which intend to protect casino security personnel, (2) an inefficient operational system due to the dualized casino security management system, and (3) a lack of systematic educational system for casino security personnel. This study therefore proposed three measures: (1) a review of revisions of related laws to protect casino security personnel, (2) enhancement of professionalism of casino security personnel and (3) establishment of a single operating system of the casino security management operating system.
In casinos, security personnel who manage the safety of customers and employees play a very important role. In particular, there is a high percentage of female employees in casinos, and because the ratio of female and male employees is similar, the probability of female customers or female employees experiencing accidents may be similar to or higher than that of males. Women's security agents who handle women's case accidents can provide female customers and employees with a security service that only women can do. However, most of the agents doing security work at casinos are male, and the proportion of women is very low. Therefore, this research is about employees who are currently working as women in casinos and conducted qualitative research to find out about various experiences they experienced while working in the casino. A total of five study participants were interviewed three times to analyze and categorize the data collected. The first question is the professor's recommendation, his personal information search and his acquaintance's recommendation. The second question, the factors behind the necessary skills at work, are various athletic skills, good physical conditions and foreign language skills. In the third question, the satisfaction factors of the task are the scarcity value of the work, the satisfaction of the pay, the suitability of the individual and the expectation of the future, and the unsatisfactory factors of the work are the risk of the work, the stress on the customer, the discrimination against the sex, the gaze around, the tiredness of the shift work. In the fourth question, factors on the need for female casino security agents are providing differentiated services to female customers, protecting female employees and providing opportunities for women in related majors. The results of this study were interviewed by an expert of more than 20 years in the casino security business, and female casino security agents said that since it is a necessary requirement, they should seek a direction for development through institutional and cognitive improvement.

The objectives of this research are to test the utility of semiparametric geographically weighted regression (SGWR, a spatial analysis method) in the small-scale urban sample, and to understand the geographic patterns of provision and pricing of sharing economy based accommodations in the tourist city. This paper focused on how network distance to heritage site, to casino, residential unit prices and other five attribute categories determine Airbnb price in Macau SAR, China. Findings show that SGWR models outperformed OLS models. Moreover, comparing with heritage sites, casinos are the stronger factors to drive up Airbnb (including hostels) rooms' provision and their prices; and residential unit prices are not related with the Airbnb price in the attraction clusters in Macau. This research showed a little example for the applications of SGWR in the small city, and for the analysis of online marketplace data as new urban study material. Practically, this study provides some scientific evidence for hosts, guests, urban planners, and policymakers' decision making in Macau.

The other communities were Taeback city and other rural areas in Chongsun county. 559 samples from three communities completed self-administered questionnaires(gambling behavior participation, K-NODS, perceived impacts coward casino development, and scales of the satisfaction with life). Results were as follows; it was found that there was a positive relationship between gambling behaviors and gambling-related problems, and a negative relationship between gambling-related problems and the satisfaction with life. While residents who live Kohan and Sabuk community were likely to perceive negative impacts of the casino development, the residents in Taeback city were likely to perceive the casino development positively. It was found that the increased casino accessibility led co the increase in the gambling problems; the prevalence rates of pathological gambling in Kohan and Sabuk community were higher than both in Taebak city and in more rural areas in Chongsun county.
