This paper deals with the effect of student characteristics from a case study on the different teaching evaluation scores under the same conditions of professor and course characteristics. In particular, focusing the evaluation score gabs caused by different course achievements of two classes, we can analyze the influence of the student characteristics and interpret the meaning. This case study shows that the student characteristics can lead out a distinct difference in the teaching evaluation scores under the most factors related to professors and courses are controlled, In conclusion, this case study could be appropriately used to support the interpretation of the student characteristic hypothesis among several hypotheses about the meaning of correlations between student achievement and teaching evaluation.

This case study examines two drama specialists' perspectives on the purpose of drama education and how their visions and beliefs are reflected in their drama practices during a sixweek kindergarten drama program. Two experienced drama specialists who have worked at public elementary schools located in the Midwestern United States were the main participants of this case study. Using a qualitative case study method, in-depth observations and semistructured interviews were carried out. Findings show that the drama specialists believed the purpose of drama education to be the building of self-confidence, creativity, awareness of the arts and respect for others. Both congruent and inconsistent relations between their beliefs and their teaching practices were observed. Based on these findings, an understanding of how specialists' beliefs and practices contribute to a broader understanding of drama education is further discussed.

Increasing number of corporations applies IT service management systems to optimize IT service delivery and support processes. For this reason, implementation experiences and effect of IT service management system are growing concerns for IT managers and researchers. This case study analyzes implementation experiences on an ITIL based service management systems in an medium sized corporation. The exploratory case analysis revealed that systems and service quality were improved from the implementation. This study will contribute to the successful implementation of IT service management system and developing a research model of IT service management process.

This study, a sub-one of comprehensive research works titled under “Rural Resources Evaluation System”, tried to verify utility/applicability of the developed model system through the case study works on 3 sample villages, Backya, Uyan and Suyu, representing the lowland, upland and seashore villages respectively. From the various surveying and collecting works including the official/statistical data collection, map analysis, insitu investigation, field survey and written material review, the original data set were obtained and manipulated into final input data for resources grading. After then, by the automatized calculation procedure of “Rural Resources Evaluation System”, score results for resources evaluation were finally produced with the total maximum score being 1,000. Through comparing works among score results of 3 case villages and between score results and areal characteristics of each case village, the applicability of the system developed in this study was well confirmed.

Several studies are being carried out to develop the reliable methods for the gas hydrate resource evaluation around the world. In this study, some case studies and investigations on the resource assesment of several advanced research teams were tried and then detail information on the evaluation scheme and technology of each team and nation are explained and analyzed for the future study and development. On top of that, main concepts and major parameters which can affect the quantity of assessment are examined and arranged for applying to our Donghae gas hydrate field case. Finally, the major concepts and methodology for this evaluation are brought forth and a schematic diagram for the main steps are come up with as well.

This paper deals with a case study about productivity improvement in medium and small-sized manufacturing factories. It is popular to improve the productivity of lines by shortening the production cycles and assigning multi jobs to workers. We analyze the production lines and improve the productivity in the case study through multi-functional workers and shortened production lines. Based on the case study, we propose some guidelines to improve the productivity of production lines.

This paper presents a case study of the student's culture as a component of conceptual ecology that affects discussions and discourses in the science classroom. The present study was conducted using a naturalistic approach, mainly through observing a science class of a middle school in Seoul, Korea, and through semistructured interviews. The case showed that the science classroom culture can be identified in four aspects: (1) knowledge; (2) the teacher; (3) classmates; and (4) self. These cultural aspects were strongly related to each other and functioned as constraints in discussions and discourses of the science classroom. For successful discussions and discourses, it is necessary to consider students' cultural aspects: epistemological views on knowledge, the teacher-student and student-student relationships, and the role of self in the discussions and discourses.

The role of branding has been to differentiate products, but brands have been increasingly applied to organizational image too. The brand image holds a key position by the marketing system in this era. The main purpose of this research is to analyze the case for the development of farm brand. A in-depth interview was conducted to analyze the case for development of farm brand in connection with agricultural products and their business operation. The farms used various stories in the process of develop brand including farm history, cultivation process, product, management, relationship with consumers. The study present the findings divide into brand naming, image, positioning. The farms built trust by consumer relationship with the farm brand. The results of the study provide insights for agricultural marketers who intend to design brand stories that align with their produce.

The performance evaluation of a new building is becoming more important because efficient design alone is often not sufficient to deliver an efficient building. However, there is a lack of standard evaluation methods to measure the energy performance of a new construction that has Energy Conservation Design Measures(ECDMs). This study presents an enhanced method based on calibrated whole-building simulation for evaluating the energy performance of new commercial buildings and demonstrates its use using a case-study building, including: an Energy Use Index(EUI) comparison with sub-metered data and an evaluation of the performance of specific ECDMs. The use of this method has determined that the case-study building was shown to use approximately 47% less energy than the base-case building that has the same shape and function as the case-study building(i.e., calibrated as-built simulation mode]), but doesn't include the simulated ECDMs.

In these days, the PCs are widely used in the mid-level factory. But they have low-effectiveness for using them. The main reason should be the lack of useful and practical software in the market. This Case study aimed at the support of the software using DB Language to get M/M chart for aquiring work study and standard time data in the mid-level factory having multi-item and multi-process type. CVA (Chronocycle Video Analysis) is applied to get basic standard time data and working list. Standard time, Sequence of working and allowance time or rate for man and machine will be readily obtained through the menu when the software executing. Detailed program list is systematically shown in Appendix.
