This Study analyzed the electric car effect on the Korea Expressway System in terms of year 2020 $CO_2$ emission. The analysis was based on the green car dissemination goal by the government and year 2010 emission statistics. Major contents performed in the study area were as follows. First, the greenhouse gases emitted from the highways were found to be approximately 17.3 million tons of $CO_2$ as of 2010. Analysis showed the emission would be 17.4 million tons in 2015 and 16.2 million tons in 2020. The results in the pattern reflect the effect of O/D on the KTBD and the trend of traffic increase from 2015 to 2020 followed by decrease in 2020. Second, in the case of greenhouse gas emission with the anticipated supply of electric cars, the amount of emission in 2015 will be 17.1 million tons, which is about 2.0% reduction compared to the lack of introduction of electric cars. The analysis also showed that in 2020, the amount of emission will be 14.2 million tons, which indicates the effect of reduction is 12.8% compared to non implementation of the program.
Domestic railway industry has grown in numbers, scale of railway ndustrial and operation because was focused on an environmentally sustainable transportation. However, it is not enough to treat and prevent heavy metals which occur as the railway operation increases. The heavy metals occurred when the operating railway and it will be flow into water system with rainfall effluent during rainfall. will flow out along with the rainfall effluent when rainfall comes. In case of a railway bridge, In particular, heavy metals were flow into the water system without any treatment from railway bridges where located nearby rivers and lakes. So, rainfall effluent from railway facilities was occurred pollution of water system. For the prevent of heavy metal runoff during rainfall, the adsorptivity of material in railway roadbed is important.In this study, adsorptivity of gravel which is main gravel and blast-furnace slag were conducted adsorption test and deducted Freundlich's and Langmuir's isothermal adsorption equations. Safety as railway subbase course material was evaluated using modeling. As a result, absorption amount of slag, Cd and Cu, was shown higher than gravel and Pb along with Zn showed higher absorption amount of gravel. However, absorption amount of slag was shown higher than gravel used as railway subbase course material as time passes by. Absorption features had more suitable determination coefficient of heavy metals in warm absorption type such as Langnmuir compared to warm absorption type like Freundlich. To add, they showed less transformation by about 10% compared to gravel in safety evaluation through modeling. This is a railway subbase course material that prevents water outflow of heavy metal thus we can know slag is needed to be used.

It is very important to analyze water balance in the mountain wetland for the sustainable management of the wetland. In this study, the SWAT model was used to analyze the water balance of Janggun wetland located in Geumjeong mountain of Gyungnam province, Korea. The data such as rainfall and water level measured in Janggun wetland were used for water balance analysis and from the analysis we have known that the rainfall of 10mm within 8 days is required for maintaining an appropriate water level in Janggun wetland. Also, water balance analysis in the wetland for the period of 2009 to 2017 was performed by using hydro-meteorological data obtained from Yangsan weather station which is located around Janggun wetland. From the analysis results, we have known that the amount of rainfall was relatively small in 2010, 2012 and 2015 and water shortage was occurred in the wetland. Especially, water shortage was occurred during the summer that we had intensive rainfall for very short time and faster removal of the runoff from the wetland. Therefore, we may need extend water courses from a wetland watershed to the wetland for preventing land-forming of the wetland and also store water by banking up the wetland for preventing the decrease of water level in the wetland.
This paper presents applications of the log-linear ROCOF(rate-of-occurrence-of-failure) and the Weibull ROCOF to model the failure rate of individual cast iron pipes in a water distribution system and provides a method of estimating the economically optimal replacement time of the pipes using the 'modified time-scale'. The performance of the two ROCOFs is examined using the maximized log-likelihood estimates of the ROCOFs for the two types of failure data: 'failure-time data' and 'failure-number data'. The optimal replacement time equations for the two models are developed by applying the 'modified time-scale' to ensure the numerical convergence of the estimated values of the model parameters. The methodology is applied to the case study water distribution cast iron pipes and it is found that the log-linear ROCOF has better modeling capability than the Weibull ROCOF when the 'failure-time data' is used. Furthermore, the 'failure-time data' is determined to be more appropriate for both ROCOFs compared to the 'failure-number data' in terms of the ROCOF modeling performances for the water mains under study, implying that recording each failure time results in better modeling of the failure rate than recording failure numbers in some time intervals.

This study describes a surgical technique and evaluates the clinical outcomes in small breed dogs with cranial cruciate ligament rupture (CCLR) treated with tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO). Seven skeletally mature dogs weighing less than 15 kg underwent unilateral TPLO to stabilize the stifle joint with CCLR. Clinical evaluation was performed via visual lameness score, range of motion (ROM), and thigh girth circumference (TC). Postoperative complications were recorded. All patients reached a grade 1 score at 1 week and grade 0 at 8 weeks postoperatively. The mean operated limb extension angle was 98.11%, 99.07%, and 98.73% of the mean extension angle of the contralateral limb at 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks postoperatively, respectively. The mean operated limb flexion angle was 98.07%, 95.88%, and 96.35% of the mean flexion angle of the contralateral limb at 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks postoperatively, respectively. The mean TC of the operated limb was 92.95%, 93.68%, and 95.44% of the mean TC of the normal limb at 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks postoperatively, respectively. Our outcomes for TPLO in small breed dogs are not worse than those previously reported for large breed dogs. Based on the result in the present study, CCLR in small dogs can be successfully managed with TPLO, as done in large breed dogs.
This study was conducted to examine the change of flora and plant species diversity between 2005 and 2010 in Yangjaecheon (stream) which was divided among three different types of vegetation management method; ecological vegetation management (weeding vines and invasive plants; EVM), plant cultivation (PC) and uncared for vegetation (UC). There were total 478 taxa, composed by 429 spontaneous taxa and 49 cultivated taxa in 2005 and total 424 taxa composed by 318 spontaneous taxa and 106 cultivated taxa in 2010. In spontaneous plants, 201 taxa were distributed over total area, 197 taxa were distributed in only EVM area, 10 taxa in only PC area and 59 taxa in only UC area. Also, the most dominant family (Asteraceae${\rightarrow}$Poaceae) and number of rare taxa (reduced) and wide distributed taxa (increased) was changed from 2005 to 2010. The rate of perennial taxa was found to be increased in only EVM area. In conclusion, EVM is thought to be a more efficient method for plant species diversity of restored stream.
In the flip chip interconnection using solder bump, the Under Bump Metallurgy (UBM) is required to perform multiple functions in its conversion of an aluminum bond pad to a solderable surface. In this study, various UBM systems such as $Al 1\mu\textrm{m} / Ti 0.2\mu\textrm{m} / Cu 5\mu\textrm{m}, Al 1\mu\textrm{m} / Ti 0.2\mu\textrm{m} / Cu 1\mu\textrm{m}, al 1\mu\textrm{m}/Ni 0.2\mu\textrm{m} / Cu 1\mu\textrm{m} and Al 1\mu\textrm{m}/Pd 0.2\mu\textrm{m} / Cu 1\mu\textrm{m}$ for flip chip interconnection using the low melting point eutectic 63Sn-37Pb solder were investigated and compared to their metallurgical properties. $100\mu\textrm{m}$ size bumps were prepared for using an electroplating process. The effects of the number of reflows and aging time on the growth of intermetallic compounds(IMC) were investigated. $Cu_6Sn_5$ and $Cu_3Sn$ IMC were abserved after aging treatment in the UBM system with thick coper $(Al 1\mu\textrm{m}/Ti 0.2\mu\textrm{m}/Cu 5\mu\textrm{m})$. However only the $Cu_6Sn_5$ was detected in the UBM system with $1\mu\textrm{m}$ thick copper even after 2 reflow and 7 day aging at $150^{\circ}C$. Complete Cu consumption by Cu-Sn IMC growth gives rise to a direct contact between solder inner layer such as Ti, Ni and Pd, and hence to possibly cause reactions between two of them. In this study, however, only for the Pd case, IMC of PdSn. was observed by Cu consumption. UBM interfacial reactions with s이der affected the adhesion strength ot s이der balls after s이der reflow and annealing treatment.
Purpose: It is said that persons with low vision (LV) require larger object and longer exposure time to make a visual judgment. The spatial summation stands for the increasing of contrast sensitivity (CS), as the target size is enlarged. Likewise, the term temporal summation is used when the CS increases as the exposure duration is extended. The present study investigates whether or not greater target and longer exposure duration is required for LV subjects than for control subjects. Methods: Twenty subjects with LV and twenty age-matched controls took part in the study. The CS was measured with a 2 alternative forced choice stair case for 0.7 and 3.0 cycle per degree (c/d) static sinusoidal gratings within a circular aperture. The results were analyzed by mixed ANOVA (2${\times}$2). Results: As expected, the CS in the LV group were overall depressed. For spatial summation, mixed ANOVA (2 groups${\times}$2 spatial frequencies) gave p values of 0.13 for the effect of group, 0.14 for spatial frequency and there was no interaction (p=0.59). Similarly, for temporal summation the results were p=0.19 for group, 0.31 for spatial frequency and p=0.95 for interaction. Conclusions: Despite the depression of CS in the LV group, a significant difference for spatial and temporal summation between two subject groups was not reached.

Objectives: This on-site study was performed to evaluate the reduction efficiency of an air cleaner on particulate matters and biological agents in a swine facility. Materials and Methods: Particulate matter was measured using a real-time monitoring recorder and biological agents were sampled with a one-stage impactor and then analyzed based on the microbial culture method. An experimental process for the reduction effect on airborne pollutants through air cleaner operation consisted of three conditions: no treatment, wet scrapper by water spray and wet scrapper by disinfectant spray. Results: Geometric mean levels of particulate matter(TSP, $PM_{10}$, $PM_{2.5}$ and $PM_1$) were presented at $1,608{\mu}g/m^3$, $1,373.8{\mu}g/m^3$, $401.8{\mu}g/m^3$ and $144.5{\mu}g/m^3$ for no treatment; $1,503{\mu}g/m^3$, $1,017{\mu}g/m^3$, $159.4{\mu}g/m^3$ and $69.8{\mu}g/m^3$ for wet scrapper by water spray; and $1,222.17{\mu}g/m^3$, $477.17{\mu}g/m^3$, $33.2{\mu}g/m^3$ and $11.1{\mu}g/m^3$ for wet scrapper by disinfectant spray, respectively. In the case of biological agents, the geometric averaged concentrations of total airborne bacteria and fungi were as follows: $45,371cfu/m^3$ and $13,474cfu/m^3$ for no treatment, $43,286cfu/m^3$ and $8,610cfu/m^3$ for wet scrapper by water spray, and $2,440cfu/m^3$ and 1,867 cfu/ for wet scrapper by disinfectant spray, respectively. Regardless of particulate matter and biological agent, the highest concentrations were found for no treatment, while the lowest concentrations were found with wet scrapper by disinfectant spray. Conclusions: Based on the results obtained from this on-site evaluation, there was a significant reduction effect on particulate matter and biological agents through the application of an air cleaner in this study.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate the exposure levels of door-to-door deliverers to fine particulate matter (PM2.5). Another objective was to confirm the general working patterns of door-to-door deliverers via survey. Methods: In the city of Daegu, ten door-to-door deliverers who wished to join the study were recruited. The general working characteristics of door-to-door deliverers were surveyed using self-reported questionnaires. In the cabin of each car driven by a deliverer, a real-time PM2.5 sampler (Sidepak, Model AM510, TSI Inc., MN, USA) and a GPS device (GPS 741, Ascen, Korea) were installed. Each deliverer was monitored for four days per week so that each day could be monitored at least four times. Results: A total of 40 measurements of PM2.5 concentrations were taken during delivery of parcels. The average exposure levels of door-to-door deliverers to PM2.5 was $44.62{\mu}g/m^3$ ($7-9443{\mu}g/m^3$. Exposure levels to PM2.5 according to the day of the week and coverage areas were not significantly different (p>0.05). Door-to-door deliverers using trucks with older diesel engines manufactured before 2006 had significantly higher exposure levels to PM2.5 than in the case of trucks with diesel engines manufactured after 2006 (p<0.05). Many of the door-to-door deliverers reported the status of having windows open during the delivery task. During delivery services, the working hours spent in residential areas were higher than on roadsides, but exposure levels to PM2.5 in residential areas and on roadsides were $46.17{\mu}g/m^3$ and $49.90{\mu}g/m^3$, respectively. Real-time PM2.5 exposure levels were significantly different between roadways and residential areas (p<0.001). Conclusions: PM2.5 exposure levels of door-to-door deliverers were found to be affected by higher vehicle emissions from the roadsides near their vehicle during deliveries and while driving to other locations compared to by PM2.5 from the diesel engines of their own trucks. Particle concentrations from roadsides and emissions from nearby vehicles through open windows were the main source of PM2.5.
