  • In this paper, we explain a various fiber to the home technology and give some important standardization status. And, passive optical networks which are WDM-PON, Ethernet PON and/or Gigabit-PON will be mainly deployed in populated subscriber area and multiple dwelling units with taking great advantage of OPEX. And finally we discuss FTTH deployment strategy with low capital cost.

  • 급증하는 자동차 수요로 인해 발생되는 배출량 증가는 자동차 운행의 특성상 대도시 대기오염의 주원인으로 작용하고 있다. 자동차 배출오염물질의 배출량 추정 및 관리에 있어 연간 배출량 뿐만 아니라 월별 기온변화에 따른 배출량의 시간분포 또한 고려되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 Hot emission에 부가되는 Cold start emission과 Evaporative VOC emission의 산정에 있어서 차종/차령에 대해서 월별 배출량을 추정하여 보았다. (중략)

  • GIS technique was applied to the analysis of ambient air quality information. For this study, the air quality information was imported with the geographical information in Capital Area. This study well proves that GIS technique has a great deal of potential to analyze those air quality information, to produce useful information, and to ease the efforts for air quality improvement. Concerning about the data interpolation, the discrepancy caused by applying different method was ignorable, although Kriging method is further developed.

Association of Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms in the Prostaglandin-endoperoxide Synthase 2 (PTGS2) and Phospholipase A2 Group IIA (PLA2G2A) Genes with Susceptibility to Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

  • Background: The prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2 (PTGS2) and phospholipase A2 group IIA (PLA2G2A) genes encode enzymes that are involved in arachidonic acid and prostaglandin biosynthesis. Dysregulation of both genes is associated with inflammation and carcinogenesis, including esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). We therefore hypothesized that there is an association between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in these genes and susceptibility to ESCC. Methods: We performed a gene-wide tag SNP-based association study to examine the association of SNPs in PTGS2 and PLA2G2A with ESCC in 269 patients and 269 healthy controls from Taihangshan Mountain, Henan and Hebei Provinces, the rural area of China which has the highest incidence of esophageal cancer in the world. Thirteen tag SNPs in PLA2G2A and 4 functional SNPs in PTGS2 were selected and genotyped using a high-throughput Mass Array genotyping platform. Results: We found a modest increased risk of ESCC in subjects with the PTGS2 rs12042763 AA genotype (OR=1.23; 95% CI, 1.00-3.04) compared with genotype GG. For PLA2G2A, a decreased risk of ESCC was observed in subjects with the rs11677 CT (OR=0.51, 95%CI, 0.29-0.85) or TT genotype (OR=0.51, 95%CI, 0.17-0.96) or the T carriers (CT+TT) (OR=0.52, 95%CI, 0.31-0.85) when compared with the CC genotype. Also for PLA2G2A, rs2236771 C allele carriers were more frequent in the control group (P=0.02). Subjects with the GC (OR=0.55, 95%CI, 0.33-0.93) or CC genotype (OR=0.38, 95% CI, 0.16-0.94) or the C carriers (GC+CC) (OR=0.52, 95%CI, 0.32-0.85) showed a negative association with ESCC susceptibility. Conclusions: Our results suggest that PTGS2 and PLA2G2A gene polymorphisms may modify the risk of ESCC development.

고도(古都)보존 및 육성을 위한 고도지구 가치평가 - 경주시 고도시범사업지구를 대상으로 - (A Study on Evaluation of the Ancient Historic District for the Preservation and Development of Ancient Capital - Focus on the Pilot Project Districts in Ancient Capital Gyoengju -)

  • 2004년에 제정된 "고도(古都) 보존에 관한 특별법"은 문화재 보전과 규제 위주의 문화재 주변지역 관리의 한계를 극복하기 위해 제정되었다. 이 법은 2012년에 "고도 보존 및 육성에 관한 특별법"으로 개정되었고, 지정된 지역에서의 행위에 대한 구체적인 허가 기준과 주민지원사업의 범위를 구체화하는 등 대폭 보완되었다. 이 연구는 경주의 고도 보존 및 육성사업을 시행 할 지정지구를 대상으로 AHP 분석기법을 통하여 가치평가체계를 수립하고, 시범사업지구의 우선사업 실시 방안을 객관적으로 제시하는 목적이다. 경주의 10개 고도 시범사업지구 가치평가 결과, 7개 역사문화환경특별보존지구 중 대릉원지구는 78.34점으로 가장 높게 나타났고, 3개 역사문화환경보존육성지구 중의 교동지역이 76.14점으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 마지막으로 경주의 고도보존 및 육성하기 위해 고도시범사업지구 유형에 따라 가장 효율적인 보존 및 육성방안을 정책적인 방향으로 제안하였다.

청소년 안녕감이 진로결정 자기효능감에 미치는 영향 및 지역사회자본의 매개효과 -학교부적응 청소년 대상으로- (The Effects of Youth Well-being on Career Decision Self-efficacy with Mediation Effect of Community Social Capital -for School-maladjusted Youth-)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 학교부적응 청소년을 대상으로 청소년 안녕감이 진로결정 자기효능감에 미치는 영향 및 지역사회자본의 매개효과에 대하여 파악하는데 있다. 연구대상은 울산광역시의 학교부적응 청소년 116명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 분석방법은 R 프로그램을 사용하여 요인분석과 신뢰도분석을 토대로 빈도분석, 기술통계 분석, 상관분석, 회귀분석을 통한 3단계 매개효과 분석과 Sobel 검정을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 청소년 안녕감은 진로결정 자기효능감에 유의미한 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년 안녕감이 진로결정 자기효능감에 미치는 영향에 대하여 지역사회자본의 부분매개효과가 확인되었다. 이는 학교부적응 청소년의 청소년 안녕감이 높아지고, 다양하며 유의미한 정(+)적 지역사회자본이 많을수록 진로결정 자기효능감이 높아진다는 것을 의미하는 것이다. 이러한 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 청소년 안녕감을 높일 수 있는 교육 프로그램의 개발과 활용 및 청소년의 심리적 특성을 반영한 진로탐색과 결정에 도움을 주는 전문화된 상담서비스의 체계적인 개입이 필요하다. 따라서 학교부적응 청소년의 진로결정 자기효능감 능력을 향상시키기 위해서는 청소년 안녕감의 강화가 필요하며 이를 위해 지역사회자본을 통한 다양한 전략이 마련되어야 하겠다.

미얀마 네피도 지역의 도시개발로 인한 토지피복변화 탐지 및 산림파편화 분석 (Land cover change and forest fragmentation analysis for Naypyidaw, Myanmar)

  • Myanmar(Burma) has been preserved valuable environmental resources because of its political isolation. But recently, Myanmar has moved a capital city(Naypyidaw) at central forest area and it has been urbanized radically since 2005. In this paper, we built multi-temporal land cover map from Landsat images of 1970s to 2012 with ENVI 4.5 software. For a broad approach, administrative district Yamethin which includes Naypyidaw is classified into 3 classes and with only Naypyidaw region is classified with 4-5 classes to analyse specific changes. And with forest cover extracted by Object Oriented Classification, we evaluated forest fragmentation before and after the development using Patch Analyst(FRAGSTATs 3.3) at Yamethin area. For Yamethin area, there were significant forest cover change, 51% in 1999 to 48% in 2012, and for Naypyidaw area, 67% in 1999 to 57% in 2012 respectively. Also landscape indices resulted from Patch Analyst concluded that the total edge, edge density and mean shaped index of forest patches increased and total core area is decreased. It is attributed from land cover change with urbanization and agricultural land expansion.

도시정비사업지구의 거주자 재입주 선택 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Resettlement Decision in Urban Redevelopment Project District)

  • The subject of this study is capital area including Seoul and Incheon, and metropolitan area including Daejeon and Busan among urban redevelopment project district that are currently promoting urban redevelopment project. Data for analysis is implemented collected through visiting each households in project district. Resettlement decision characteristics are analyzed with considering householder's characteristic, house member's characteristic, residential space's characteristic, and area characteristic of families residing in urban redevelopment project area. Through researching characteristics and preferences of residents in project area by urban redevelopment business, improvement were found and implications were provided. Consequently, there are many factors to consider resettlement when deciding household's resettlement when deciding on household's resettlement after the redevelopment project depending on household's characteristics. So, political methods are needed to accomplish urban redevelopment project by resident's position through characteristic and preference survey of resident on project district. Therefore, the study can be utilized as basic data that considers characteristic of each households and region when establishing house policy in order to correspond to housing market that satisfies future consumer's demand.

국내외 수도권 광역급행열차 운영에 관한 사례연구 (The Case study on internal and external Rapid Railroad Operation in Metropolitan Area)

  • The widening national capital area of Korea has caused a traffic jam problem with increasing commuting hours. In addition, as the economic crisis goes on, the people moving to the outside of a city has increased. So we expect that the expansion of this metropolitan area will do grow and it will cause a more severe traffic jam in the near future. Therefore, We will study about 'Rapid Railroad Operation in Metropolitan Area' to solve this problem and improve rail's competitive power as a reasonable transportation method. The Rapid Railroad can sharply reduce commuting hours. Also, it is more eco-friendly transportation than the others. Through many cases revealed in both domestics and overseas, we will solve the problem of a traffic jam getting senous m metropolitan area. After studying successful cases of overseas, rapid railroad, such as France and Japan, we will study domestic cases of Yongsan$\sim$Dong-inchoen, Guro$\sim$Cheonan and Gaehwa$\sim$Sin-nonhyeon, and comparison will do made among these case. In conclusion, The introduction of Rapid Railroad show the effective plan for strengthen the competitiveness and solve the traffic problem.

A Participation Income Project to Remove Marine Debris and its Possible Contribution to Creating a Marine Protected Area in Korea

  • The creation of marine protected areas is an important aspect of marine ecosystem sustainability. However, South Korea has not achieved its Aichi Biodiversity Target to designate 10% of its sea as marine protected by 2020. Local residents have strong opposition to the designation of protected areas in South Korea; there has been little trust in the government since the 1970s, when residents felt that their property rights were being ignored in favor of creating national parks. Here, we present a case where creation of a marine protected area was led by residents of TongYeong City. The success of a participation income project to remove marine debris in the city seems to be an important factor that led to the designation of the marine protected area. The case of TongYeong City is compared with that of nearby Geoje City, where an ecologically important stream has not been designated as a wetland protection area, although a similar participation income project enrolled the city's residents. The comparison provides a tentative assessment of the conditions needed to increase trust among residents. The results suggest that, if the projects are well-designed and well-managed, participation income projects to remove marine debris can be effective in building trust among stakeholders in potential marine protected areas.
