  • Flake graphite cast irons with the high damping capacity have been used for the control of vibration and noise occurring in the members of various mechanical structures under vibrating conditions. However, the damping capacity which is morphological characteristics of graphite is one of the important factors in reducing the vibration and noise, but hardly any work has deal with this problem. Therefore, the authors have examined the damping capacity of various cast irons with alloying elements and studied the influences of the matrix structures, mechanical properties and morphological characteristics of graphite. The main results obtained are as follows: Effects of pouring temperature on the damping capacities and mechanical properties were investigated in 3.6%C cast iron. At $1400^{\circ}C$, specific damping capacity showed the maximum value, and decreased with increase pouring temperature. Mechanical properties showed opposite trend with the damping capacity. And then, effects of Ni on the damping capacities and mechanical properties have been investigated in 3.6%C gray cast iron. At 0.2%Ni content, specific damping capacity showed the maximum value, and decreased with further increase in Ni content. Graphite length also showed same behavior. This indicates that the specific damping capacity has a close relation with graphite length. In case of Mo addition in 3.6%C-0.2%Ni cast iron, specific damping capacity and tensile strength was 27% and $20kgf/mm^2$ at 3.6%C-0.2%Ni-0.3%Mo cast iron respectively.

  • Electrochemical characteristics of a graphite/lithium and a $LiCoO_2/lithium$ half cell and a $graphite/LiCoO_2$ full cell were analyzed using a GCSOC (gradual control test of the state of charge) technique. The IIE (initial intercalation coulombic efficiency), which represents lithium intercalation property of the electrode material, and the $lIC_s$ (initial irreversible capacity by the surface), which represents irreversible reaction between the electrode surface and the electrolyte were obtained from the GCSOC analysis. Linear-fittable capacity ranges of IIE of graphite and $LiCoO_2$ electrodes were 370 and 150 mAh/g, respectively, based on material weight. The value of lIE for graphite and $LiCoO_2$ electrodes were $93-94\%$ and $94-95\%$, respectively. The value of IICs for graphite and $LiCoO_2$ electrodes were 15-17 mAh/g and 0.3-1.7 mAh/g, respectively. The value of IIE for $graphite/LiCoO_2$ full cell, used GX25 and DJG311 as a graphite, was $89-90\%$ that lower than that for the half cells. Parameters of IIE and IICs can also be used to represent not only half cell but also full cell.

Effects of seeding and harvest dates on the productivity, nutritive values, and livestock carrying capacity of spring-seeded oats (Avena sative L.) in the northern Gyeongbuk province

  • This experiment was conducted to estimate the livestock carrying capacity per unit area of Hanwoo heifer with determine the quality of the forage by evaluating the productivity and nutritive value of spring seeding oats (Avena sative L.) according to different seeding and harvesting timings. Dry matter yields were the highest at 13.62 tons per ha when oat was seeded on March 15 and harvested on June 8 (p < 0.05), while the lowest yield of 6.29 tons per ha was obtained when seeded on February 25 and harvested on May 19 (p < 0.05). The highest crude protein yield of 1.27 tons per ha (p < 0.05) was obtained when seeded on March 5 and harvested on June 8. The total digestible nutrient yield was the highest at 7.38 tons per ha when harvested on June 8, the last harvest of the experiment (p < 0.05). In the northern part of Gyeongbuk province, spring seeding oats at the beginning of March, rather than in the middle of March, showed good annual livestock carrying capacity per unit area. According to harvest timing, the plot harvested on June 8 showed the highest livestock carrying capacity with an average of 6.53 heads (p < 0.05). In conclusion, in the northern part of Gyeongbuk province in spring, it is better to seed oat early in March and to harvest early in June to increase the livestock breeding capacity, considering dry matter productivity and feed value.

  • In this paper, the difference between call processing routing of general purpose ESS and that of special purpose ESS, such a TDX-ACD, was specified by analyzing the call processing capacity of special purpose ESS. Then the load sharing method was proposed in orde to reduce the overload condition in specific processors. Finally, measirement value was illustrated nad compared with simulation value.

  • As organization's success depends on how much employees are active in recognizing new knowledge and transform into organization's value, this study is to examine the influence of employees' self-directed learning capacity on organizational absorptive capacity, organizational commitment and job involvement. The study has shown that managerial level employees have high level of self-directed learning capacity, and employees who have such high level capacity also shown to have high level of absorptive capacity and organizational affective commitment and job involvement. There were static correlations between all the variables, and absorptive capacity has a complete meditated effect on each variables. Hence, in order to enhance absorptive capacity, organizations should put their effort to develop employees' self-directed learning capacity, which will not only improve individual competency but also lead to organization's success in this competitive global market.

On-board Capacity Estimation of Lithium-ion Batteries Based on Charge Phase

  • Capacity estimation is indispensable to ensure the safety and reliability of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles (EVs). Therefore it's quite necessary to develop an effective on-board capacity estimation technique. Based on experiment, it's found constant current charge time (CCCT) and the capacity have a strong linear correlation when the capacity is more than 80% of its rated value, during which the battery is considered healthy. Thus this paper employs CCCT as the health indicator for on-board capacity estimation by means of relevance vector machine (RVM). As the ambient temperature (AT) dramatically influences the capacity fading, it is added to RVM input to improve the estimation accuracy. The estimations are compared with that via back-propagation neural network (BPNN). The experiments demonstrate that CCCT with AT is highly qualified for on-board capacity estimation of lithium-ion batteries via RVM as the results are more precise and reliable than that calculated by BPNN.

국내 SIP 말뚝의 지지력 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Bearing Capacity for SIP Piles in Domestic Areas)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 최근 SIP(Soil-Cement Injected Precast Pile) 공법의 문제점과 그 개선책에 대하여 현장재하시험 결과로부터 하중-침하량곡선과 지지력 특성을 이용하여 고찰하였다. 재하시험결과 전체침하량에 대한 탄성 및 소성침하량은 일정한 경향성을 갖으며, 이러한 경향성과 재하시험으로부터 결정한 지지력을 이용한 경험적인 차트가 SIP 설계에서 이용될 수 있다. 지지층의 지질조건이 화강암류를 갖는 국내 지역에서 N값을 이용한 SIP 설계는 매우 보수적인 결과를 보이고 있다. 반면 지지층의 지질학적 조건이 불리한 경우 불안정한 결과를 보일 수 있다. 또한, 말뚝선단에서 N값을 수정한 Meyerhof의 지지력식이 N값이 50으로 한정되고 선단지지력을 20NA$_p$으로 간주한 최근의 설계보다 적절하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과들은 수정된 설계법이 말뚝의 지지력을 말뚝재료의 허용하중까지 이용하기 때문에 과거보다 경제적임을 시사한다.

사질토 지반에서 N값과 말뚝의 길이비가 지지력 분담 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of N Value and Pile Length Ratio on Bearing Capacity Distribution of Cohesionless Soil)

  • 본 연구에서는 현장타설말뚝이 사질토 지반에서 지지되는 경우에 대하여, 설계지지력 산정을 위해 적용되고 있는 다양한 제안식을 이용하여 말뚝의 길이비와 N값이 지지력에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 그 결과, Meyerhof 제안식은 전체 지지력에 있어서 선단지지력과 주면마찰력의 분담률은 동일하게 평가하고, 지지력 분담률은 길이비에 의해서만 영향을 받는 것으로 분석되었다. NAVFAC DM-7 제안식은 말뚝의 길이가 주면마찰력과 선단지지력 모두 영향을 미치기는 하지만, 선단지지력에 더욱 큰 영향인자로 작용하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히, N값과 말뚝의 직경에 의한 영향보다는 말뚝 길이요소에 의한 영향이 가장 큰 것을 알 수 있었다. FHWA의 제안식은 말뚝의 지지력 산정 시, 주면마찰력에 의한 영향요소를 다른 제안식에 비해 적극적으로 반영하는 것으로 평가되었으며, 극한지지력 평가 시에 주면마찰력의 영향을 더 크게 반영하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

영유아 행복을 위한 부모역량 실태 (The Current Status of Parental Capacity for Children's Happiness)

  • 본 연구는 영유아 부모역량 제고를 위하여 영유아의 행복이라는 관점에서 부모역량 Self-checklist 를 개발하여 영유아 행복을 위한 부모역량 현황을 조사하였다. 연구방법으로 관련 선행연구 고찰을 바탕으로 학계 전문가, 유치원 어린이집 교사, 영유아 부모, 유아를 대상으로 면담을 실시하였으며 Self-checklist 최종 문항 선정을 위해 48인의 델파이 조사를 실시하였다. 부모역량 현황 조사를 위해 전국단위 지역별로 할당하여 영유아 부모 1,000명을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였으며 모 580명, 부 420명이 참여하였다. 부모역량 현황을 살펴보면 유형면에서는 인식, 실행, 성장역량 순으로 높게 나타났으며 내용면에서는 영유아 발달과 건강과 안전 영역 점수가 높았고 생활지도나 지역사회 연계가 가장 낮게 나타났다. 부모 관련 변인별로는 모든 측면에서 모에 비해 부의 역량이 낮았으며 전반적으로 부모 연령이 낮을수록, 부모 학력이 높을수록, 소득수준이 높을수록 부모역량이 높은 것으로 나타났다.

분리 강남콩 단백질의 유화특성에 관한 연구 (A study of the Emulsifying Properties of Kidney Bean Protein Isolate)

  • This study was carried out in order to study the emulsifying properties of kidney bean protein isolate. Kidney bean protein isolate was tested for the purpose of finding out the effect of pH, addition of NaCl, and heat treatment on the solbulity and emulsion capacity, emulsion stability, surface hydropobicity and emulsion viscosity. The results were summarized as follows. 1 The solubility of kidney bean protein isolate was affected by pH and showed the lowest value at pll 4.5 which is isoelectric point of kidney bean isolate. When the kidney bean protein isolate was heated, the highest value observed at pH 2 and pH 7 was 96.11%, 97.41% respectively. 2. The emulsion capacity of kidney bean protein isolate was not significantly different with each pH. With addition of NaCl, emulsion capacity decreased steadily. When heated thr highest value observed at pH 2 and pH 7 was 82.91 ml oil/100 mg protein ($60^{\circ}C$), 82.08 m1 oil/100 mg protein ($80^{\circ}C$) respectively. 3. The emulsion stability was significantly higher at pH 4.5 than that of pH 2 and pH 7 (p 0.05) When NaCl was added, emulsion stability was generally increased after 2hrs. When heated, the highest value observed at pH 2 and pH 7 was 21.25% ($80^{\circ}C$),23.7%($100^{\circ}C$) respectively after 2hrs. 4. Surface hydrophobicity increased sharply as 0.2 M NaCl was added to pH 4.5. When heated, the surface hydrophobicity increased as the temperature increased. 5. The highest value of emulsion viscosity was observed at pH 4.5 and pH 7 when 0.2 M NaCl was added. Under heat treatment, the highest value was 48,000 cps at pH 4.5 ($40^{\circ}C$). In the case of pH 7, the highest value was 105,000 cpa at $100^{\circ}C$.
