정치광고에서의 니치 마케팅 전략 활용에 관한 연구-15대 총선을 중심으로- (A Study on the Niche Marketing Strategy in Political Advertisements-focusing on the 1996 Parliamentary Election-)

  • For succesful political advertisements the role of mutual communications between advertisers and their targets (i.e. voters) should be magnified, which must be based on the understanding of voter's life-style including the trends of daily life, their philosophy and attitude toward the contemporary matters. During the campaign period for the last parliamentry election the most important issue was nothing but who could be the best representer of their region without any political considerations compared to previous election and the decision made by voters has been evaluated as one of most brilliant ones so far. One thing to note from the last election is that many new faces have been high lighted and that could not have been possible if they could not differentiate their campaign from one of unchanged senior politicians by calling more attentions of voters to them by scrutinizing competitors' election pledges. The differentiation strategy in election campaigns is basically detecting small signs of changes in voters life\ulcornerstyle, bringing them into relief and provoking voters attentions to the election and advertiser. In this sense niche marketing strategy is the differentiating strategy itself and it can be a useful guide in political advertisement for the triumph of advertiser in elections as well as for heathy and fresh political environments on the basis increased attentions of voters. In this paper, aiming at further development of the niche marketing in political advertisements we propose questions whether the niche marketing in the last parliamentary election was introduced on the basis of concept of differentation by analysing last election's strategies targeted at voters specific dispositions.

Costing of a State-Wide Population Based Cancer Awareness and Early Detection Campaign in a 2.67 Million Population of Punjab State in Northern India

  • Background: Punjab state is particularly reporting a rising burden of cancer. A 'door to door cancer awareness and early detection campaign' was therefore launched in the Punjab covering about 2.67 million population, wherein after initial training accredited social health activists (ASHAs) and other health staff conducted a survey for early detection of cancer cases based on a twelve point clinical algorithm. Objective: To ascertain unit cost for undertaking a population-based cancer awareness and early detection campaign. Materials and Methods: Data were collected using bottom-up costing methods. Full economic costs of implementing the campaign from the health system perspective were calculated. Options to meet the likely demand for project activities were further evaluated to examine their worth from the point of view of long-term sustainability. Results: The campaign covered 97% of the state population. A total of 24,659 cases were suspected to have cancer and were referred to health facilities. At the state level, incidence and prevalence of cancer were found to be 90 and 216 per 100,000, respectively. Full economic cost of implementing the campaign in pilot district was USD 117,524. However, the financial cost was approximately USD 6,301. Start-up phase of campaign was more resource intensive (63% of total) than the implementation phase. The economic cost per person contacted and suspected by clinical algorithm was found to be USD 0.20 and USD 40 respectively. Cost per confirmed case under the campaign was 7,043 USD. Conclusions: The campaign was able to screen a reasonably large population. High to high economic cost points towards the fact that the opportunity cost of campaign put a significant burden on health system and other programs. However, generating awareness and early detection strategy adopted in this campaign seems promising in light of fact that organized screening is not in place in India and in many developing countries.

  • Human African Trypanosomiasis (HAT) also known as sleeping sickness, is a neglected tropical vector borne disease caused by trypanosome protozoa transmitted by bites of infected tsetse fly. The basic reproduction number, R0 derived using the next generation matrix method which shows that the disease persists in the population if the value of R0 > 1. The numerical simulations of optimal control model carried out to determine the control strategy that can combat HAT under the minimum cost. The results indicate that, the use of both education campaign, treatment and insecticides are more efficient and effective to eliminate HAT in African community but too costly. Furthermore, the cost-effectiveness of the control measures (education campaign, treatment and insecticides) were determined using incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) approach and the results show that, the use of education and treatment of infected people as the best cost effective strategy compared to other strategies.

읽기문화 활성화를 위한 해외 PR 캠페인 사례 분석 (An Analysis of International PR Campaign Cases for Revitalization of Reading Culture)

  • 본 연구는 읽기문화 활성화를 위해 독서 선진국들이 시행했던 성공적인 PR 캠페인 사례들을 분석하여 우리나라 상황에 적합한 읽기문화 활성화를 위한 PR 캠페인 전략을 제시하는 것이 연구의 목적이다. 해외의 성공적인 읽기문화 활성화 PR 캠페인 사례들을 분석하기 위해 본 연구는 유럽, 북미, 남미, 그리고 오세아니아 지역 등에서 성공적인 읽기문화 활성화 PR 캠페인 사례들을 선별하여 연구 대상으로 삼았다. 이와함께, 본 연구는 읽기에 대한 사회적 지지를 확대하고 읽기문화를 우리사회에 확산시키기 위한 효과적인 PR 캠페인 전략 수립을 위한 방안을 도출하기 위해, 선별된 해외 읽기문화 PR 캠페인 사례들을 대상으로 PR 캠페인의 목표와 목적, 전략 전술적 특성, 그리고 장점과 단점들에 대해 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 분석 대상으로 선별된 해외 읽기문화 PR 캠페인들은 독특하고 기발한 아이디어를 활용해 언론매체와 독자들의 눈길을 끌어 PR 효과를 극대화 하고 있었으며, 누구나 손쉽게 PR 캠페인에 참여할 수 있도록 편리성을 주요 PR 전략으로 활용하고 있었다. 나아가, 선별된 해외 읽기문화 활성화 PR 캠페인들은 평소에 독서를 좋아하는 독자들을 주 타깃으로 하여 PR 캠페인을 실행함으로써 PR 캠페인의 참여도를 높이고, 일반인들로부터 인기를 끌 수 있는 흥미로운 요소들을 PR 캠페인에 적극 활용하여 공중의 참여를 극대화 하는 특징을 가지고 있었다.

Digital Technology Practices and Vaccine Campaign in Korea: International Perceptions on Health Diplomacy amid COVID-19 Crisis

  • The purpose of this study is two-fold: first, to discuss the concept of health diplomacy and the Korean government's response to contain the COVID-19 pandemic; second, to assess and compare assumptions of variances about foreigners' perceptions of how Korea is leveraging digital technology in battling the coronavirus spread, and its vaccine campaign; through the lenses of Chinese, Filipino, and Pakistani foreign nationals who are currently living in Korea. A total of 219 foreigners responded to the survey. The collected data were analyzed as percentages, mean averages, t-test, and ANOVA for statistical analysis. Results show that Korea is utilizing its digital technology practices and vaccine campaign in battling the pandemic through efforts of health diplomacy. ANOVA indicated significant results and assumptions of variance across three ethnic groups showing the Pakistani population had higher mean scores than the Chinese and Filipino about Korea's health diplomacy during the pandemic. This study contributes to the literature on Korea's digital technology practices and vaccine campaigns amidst the COVID-19 pandemic by promoting its image through health diplomacy efforts. It projects the country's soft image on a global scale, to save the lives of locals and foreign nationals, by providing insights into health diplomacy in Korea.

성숙기 브랜드 재활성화를 위한 캠페인전략 연구 -백설 브랜드를 중심으로- (A Study on Campaign Strategy of Brand Revitalization in Maturity Stage -focused on BEKSUL-)

  • 1953년 탄생한, 백설은 브랜드 수명주기 상 성숙기에 위치해 있다. 백설은 브랜드 쇠퇴를 미연에 방지하고 브랜드 수명을 늘리기 위해 2009년, 브랜드 노후화에 대한 예방책으로 로고와 광고 리뉴얼을 시도하였으나, 실효를 거두지 못하였다. 이후, 2011년, 독립 브랜드로서 재탄생을 맞아 로고의 변경과 리포지셔닝 광고를 집행하였고, 브랜드 이미지 제고와 더불어 브랜드 확장에 대한 의지를 나타냈다. 본 연구는 두 번에 걸쳐 단행된 백설 재활성화 캠페인에 대한 비교연구를 통해 성숙기 브랜드 재활성화 캠페인 전략의 핵심을 파악하고자 하였다. 연구결과 브랜드 재활성화를 위한 전략으로 브랜드 참신성을 최우선으로 하기보다는 브랜드의 본질을 벗어나지 않으며, 브랜드 자산을 토대로 브랜드 충성도를 굳건히 하는 것이라고 판단되었다. 특히, 백설과 같은 식품브랜드는 시간을 브랜드 노후화의 요인으로 판단하고 부정하기보다는 브랜드 자산화함으로써 소비자에게 믿음과 신뢰를 소통하는 것이 필요하다고 판단되었다.

소셜미디어 선거캠페인 연구 동향과 쟁점 (A Critical Review on Social Media Campaign Studies: Trends and Issues)

  • 이 연구는 소셜미디어 캠페인 연구의 동향과 쟁점을 세 측면에서 고찰하였다. 즉 '소셜미디어 캠페인 전략의 양상, 소셜미디어를 규율하는 제도적 환경 및 소셜미디어 캠페인의 정치적 효과'는 웹 확산 이래 웹블로그를 거쳐 소셜미디어 단계에 이르기까지 각국의 선거캠페인에서 지속적으로 제기되고 있는 논제이다. 분석 결과 소셜미디어 캠페인 전략은 대표중심론 대시민중심론을 축으로 쟁점이 제기되어왔으며, 제도적 환경은 공정선거를 위한 동원형 규제론 대 시민참여를 위한 정보기본권 강화가 핵심 논제로 고찰되었다. 이어서 이 연구는 세 주제 중 가장 분석이 취약한 정치적 효과를 실증적으로 논구하기 위하여 20대 총선을 사례로 경험적 분석을 수행하였다. 구체적으로 '후보(정당)들의 트위터 캠페인 참가 동향, 당파적 동원과 유권자 반응 및 선거 결과에 대한 플랫폼 효과'를 경험적으로 고찰하였으며 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 19대 총선에 비해서 트위터 캠페인 참가자가 크게 증가하였다. 그리고 트위터 캠페인은 자원동원능력에서 우위에 있는 양당 주도로 진행되었다. 둘째, 트위터가 당파적 공간이라는 점이 명료하게 확인되었다. 특히 수도권의 진보 후보들이 훨씬 더 크게 지지층을 동원하였다. 마지막으로 트위터 캠페인은 득표율 상승과 당선에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 팔로어수와 활동기간이 통계적으로 유의하게 나타나, 선거운동에서 네트워킹과 사회자본을 촉진하는 기능이 더욱 중요하다는 것을 입증하였다.

Are More Followers Always Better? The Non-Linear Relationship between the Number of Followers and User Engagement on Seeded Marketing Campaigns in Instagram

  • Seeded marketing campaign (SMC) is a newly created type of marketing activities with the widespread use of social media. Previous research has examined to find out the optimal seeding strategy that yields the best outcome from the campaign. This research explores the relationships between the characteristics of the seeded influencer and user engagement. The data consists of information from 1062 seeded Instagram posts posted in September 2020 in Korea and 778 seeded influencers who posted those contents. Analyzed by negative binomial regression, our quadratic model suggests that the relationship between user engagement and the number of followers of the seeded influencer draws an inverted U-shape, indicating influencers with greater number of followers may not always be the best choice for the marketers. Moreover, this research shows that the negative marginal impact coming from the huge number of followers can be attenuated when the influencer is an expert of the seeded product.

  • This study is to suggest a strategy and trend of products development by major construction companies to form a trend and to set the trend in housing market through investigation about brand image campaign for TV ad, individual design items, result of products development and special plans. It is the strategy for products development of construction companies surveyed to be divided into five kinds. First, the change from in the unit to outside. Second, centralization of design powers about products development through submit and the wining of a prize in the domestic & foreign design fair to publicize a excellent quality in a roundabout way. Third, reinforcement of service for support the habitability and design manual for secure uniform quality. Forth, investment in the environment-friendly housing and new recycling energy. Fifth, reinforcement of organizational power for improving production capability.

정치인들의 선거 캠페인 수단으로서의 SNS 활용: 2015년 4·29 재·보궐선거를 중심으로 (SNS as a Method of Election Campaign: A Case study of the 2015's Special Election in South Korea)

  • 본 연구는 선거캠페인 도구로써의 SNS 역할을 살펴보고자 2015년 4 29 재 보궐 선거 기간 동안의 정동영 후보와 변희재 후보의 SNS 상 메시지에 대한 내용 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 첫째, 두 후보자의 SNS에 나타난 메시지의 내용적 측면을 분석한 결과 두 후보자 모두 '단순홍보'와 관련된 메시지를 가장 적극적으로 사용한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, SNS상에 나타난 메시지의 목적을 베노이트(1999)가 제안한 설득적 전략방법에 따라 분석한 결과 두 후보자 모두'주장'의 전략을 가장 두드러지게 사용한 것으로 드러났다. 셋째, SNS상 메시지의 논제를 분석한 결과, 정동영 후보는 '인간적 특성'을, 변희재 후보는 '정책'에 관한 언급이 더 많은 것으로 나타났다.
