비축대칭 캠 볼트 단조의 유한요소 해석 (Finite element analysis for forging of nonaxisymmetric cam bolt)

  • The cold-forging process analysed in this paper deals with the cam bolt of a nonaxisymmetric shape which mainly is used as a part in the steering system of a vehicle for the purpose of adjusting shock absorb. So both strength and endurance are very important for the cam bolt. In this study, cam bolt forging process is composed of four stage processes. For three forging stages, shape of workpiece will be eccentrical. And then bolt head and washer of eccentrical shape is created in last stage. 3D finite element analysis repeatedly has been performed with changing dimension of die to obtain adequate former multi forging process and die shape. Simulation results reviewed have influence on deciding design of die and forging process. As a result, Simulation results have provided a direction to improve the process.

  • Process design of multi-stage forging for a bolt with nonaxisymmetric washer cam has been studied by using finite element method. For shape complexity of the bolt, it is impossible to manufacture in a single stage forging. To design multi-stage forging for the bolt the forging load and fiber flow of each step have been analyzed by using commercial finite element code DEFORM-3D. Simulated results have been compared with experimental ones. Multi-stage forging process has been designed with four stages. The workpiece should be eccentric shape until third forging stage. And then bolt head and washer of eccentrical shape is created in last stage. As a results, It was predicted that shape of product would be good and effective strain would be uniformly distributed in the product. Also, it was predicted whether defects would exist or not by reviewing the fiber flow.

  • Computer aided process planning(CAPP) is a key for implementing CIM. It is bridge between CAD and CAM and translates the design information into manufacturing instructions. Generally, manufacturing is an area where intelligent systems will not be able to rely on methods requiring formalized knowledge. Manufacturing lacks a body of knowledge that is specific, formalized, and rigorous, and which can be coded as rules or procedures. Thus expertise in manufacturing is developed over a period of many years. Case-based reasoning(CBR) offers a new approach for developing intelligent system. In the case-based approach the problem solving experience of the experts is encoded in the form of cases. CBR's retrieval process can be divided to two step. The first step is matching step, and the second step is selection step. For selecting base case, new preference heuristics were introduced using similarity concept. Similarity concept has three has three dimensions, i.e. entity similarity, structural similarity, and goal similarity. In this paper, bolt's process planning was selected an application domain. Following the test result, the new preference heuristics were approved as a useful procedure in CAPP.

순차이송형 프레스 금형의 가공표준화 (Standardization of machining process for progressive press die)

  • In the present study the newly developed CAD/CAM system is applied to the process of the molding design, machining for mini-sized and precise processive die, and the production of press-stamped parts. When the design of a die was completed by means of CAD, wire cut NC data were generated with the aid of a design drawing in the CAD system and then inputed into the wire cut machine, and with the aid of a hole chart which had been made for this purpose, all the data were classified into the categories of CNC milling, jig boring, jig grinding, and machine center, and then developing a program of generating NC data, errors in process were reduced and programming time was shortened. The program was developed by using Autolisp language which was built-in the CAD, and realizing the intergation of designing a die, generating and processing NC data directly by a designer, designing time and machinery processing time were shorted. And the traditionally required working time for design. NC program required 6 days of work becomes 4 days of work by using the developed CAD/CAM system so that the efficiency shows 150% of the reduction working time. The prpgram of the design of the automation a progressive die mold was developed in the PC-Class Autocad system, therefore development expense could be reduced, and the integration of the CAD/CAM of the progressive die mold with the standard DB being built could be realized.

액화석유가스 자동차 엔진의 타이밍벨트, 캠샤프트포지션센서, 점화코일 손상과 관련된 고장사례에 대한 연구 (A Study for Failure Examples Including with Timing Belt, Camshaft Position Sensor and Ignition Coil Damage of LPG Vehicle Engine)

  • 이 논문은 LPG 자동차 엔진의 타이밍벨트, 캠샤프트포지션센서 및 점화코일에 대한 고장사례에 관련된 연구이다. 첫 번째 사례는, 엔진의 프론트 케이스 브래킷장착을 할 때 12mm 볼트를 조이면서 과대한 토크로 인해, 볼트가 체결부에서 분리되어 크랭크축의 스프로킷에 끼여 타이밍벨트와 스프로킷의 이사이에 벨트 간섭에 의해 벨트가 끊어진 것을 확인하였다. 두 번째 사례는, 실린더 헤드부에 설치되어 있는 캠샤프트 포지션 센서와 캠축 감지부의 간극이 너무 작아 센서의 펄스신호불량에 의한 컴퓨터의 인식불량으로 인해 엔진의 부조화현상이 발생된 것을 확인하였다. 세 번째 사례는, 2번 점화코일의 내부불량으로 인해 점화를 할 때 점화코일에서 불꽃이 누설되어 엔진의 부조화 현상이 발생된 것을 확인하였다. 따라서, 차량관리자는 이러한 현상이 발생되지 않도록 철저한 차량점검을 해야한다.

전이학습 기반 CNN을 통한 풀림 방지 코팅 볼트 이진 분류에 관한 연구 (Binary classification of bolts with anti-loosening coating using transfer learning-based CNN)

  • 풀림 방지 코팅 볼트는 주로 자동차 안전 관련 부품을 결합하는 데 사용되므로 안전성 유지를 위해 코팅 결함을 사전에 감지해야 한다. 이를 위해 이전 연구 [CNN 및 모델 시각화 기법을 사용한 코팅 볼트 불량 판별]에서는 합성곱 신경망을 사용했다. 이때 합성곱 신경망은 데이터 수가 많을수록 이미지 패턴 및 특성 분석 정확도가 증가하지만 그에 따라 학습시간이 증가한다. 또한 확보 가능한 코팅 볼트 샘플이 한정적이다. 본 연구에서는 이전 연구에 전이학습을 추가적으로 적용해 데이터 개수가 적은 경우에도 코팅 결함에 대해 정확한 분류를 하고자 한다. 전이학습을 적용할 때 학습 데이터 수와 사전 학습 데이터 ImageNet 간의 유사성을 고려해 분류층만 학습했다. 데이터 학습에는 전역 평균 풀링, 선형 서포트 벡터 머신 및 완전 연결 계층과 같은 분류층을 적용했으며, 고려한 모델 중 완전 연결 계층 방법의 분류층이 가장 높은 95% 정확도를 가진다. 추가적으로 마지막 합성곱층과 분류층을 미세 조정하면 정확도는 97%까지 향상된다. 전이학습 및 미세 조정을 이용하면 선별 정확도를 향상시킴은 물론 이전보다 학습 소요시간을 절반으로 줄일 수 있음을 보였다.
