기상 특보 발표가 기상청 콜센터 상담 건수에 미치는 영향 분석 (The Impact of Severe Weather Announcement on the Korea Meteorological Administration Call Center Counseling Demand)

  • The effective management of call centers under special circumstances is critical to improve customer satisfaction. In order to effectively respond to call center counseling demand, this paper aims to identify factors having the greatest impact on the number of Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) call center counseling. To do so, we propose to combine call center data with severe weather announcement data and investigate how the severe weather announcement affects the number of KMA call center counseling. A time lag analysis is conducted and it is found that the severe weather announcement takes about an hour to be reflected in the number of KMA call center counseling. Based on the result of the time lag analysis, we conduct a comparative analysis according to time and season using the data collected from 1 January 2012, to 29 June 2016. The results show that the number of KMA call center counseling increases at lunchtime and decreases during nighttime, and the average rate of change in call center counseling demand tends to be larger under the severe weather announcement. For the comparative analysis according to the season, there are significant differences in the effect of severe weather announcement on the number of KMA call center counseling in spring, fall and winter.

지능망에서 서비스 제어 로직의 호 분배 서비스 특성을 위한 방법 (Methods for Call Distribution Service Feature of Service Control Logic in Intelligent Network)

  • 본 논문에서는 지능망에서 서비스 제어 로직의 호 분배 서비스 특징에 대한 요구사항을 정의한다. 또한. 각 가입자마다 지정한 호 분배률에 따라 호 분배할 수 있도록 호 분배 메커니즘을 제안한다. 호 분배 메커니즘은 지능망에서 정보료 수납대행 서비스에서 발전되었다. 본 논문에서의 호 분배 메커니즘은 순환 분배 또는 계층 분배 방식이 아닌 퍼센티지 분배 방식을 채택하였다. 호 분배 메커니즘은 호 입력, 출력, 호 분배 처리 로직 부, 랜덤넘버 생성기 가입자 데이터베이스 등으로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 호 분배 메커니즘을 위한 실제적인 구현 알고리즘을 제시하고. 이를 위한 호 분배 결정 지시 산출 방법을 제안하였다. 호 분배 결정 지시 산출 방법에는 C 언어에서 제공하는 rand( ) 함수, 시스템 클럭, 제안된 알고리즘 등이 있다. 최적의 호 분배 메커니즘을 위하여, 3가지 방법에 대한 발생 패턴. 발생 수 등을 측정하여 평가하였다.

Effectiveness of Mating Call Playbacks in Anuran Call Monitoring: a Case Study of Three-striped Pond Frogs (Rana nigromaculata)

  • We studied the effectiveness of mating call playbacks on call monitoring of three-striped pond frogs (Rana nigromaculata). Playback experiments were conducted between 2100 to 0030 at 15 sites located at Chungwon, Chungbuk, and Yeongi, Chungnam, in May 2005. We recorded call responses of 25 males to two different call playbacks, (i) single mating calls from a single male and (ii) chorus mating calls from five males, by randomly presenting the calls with a 15 min-gap between the two playbacks. We compared the number of response calls of the focal males for three min before, during, and after the playbacks. Five of 25 males were silent before stimulus presentation, but all the males emitted calls after the playbacks. The number of calls in response to single playback calls significantly differed among the three playback periods, where males gave more calls during the playback than before or after the playbacks. In addition, subject males presented significantly more calls to single call playbacks than to chorus call playbacks. The results of this study suggest that playback using repeated single mating calls is effective in call monitoring of R. nigromaculata males.

Application of Color Information to Facilitate Finding Books in the Library

  • Objective: We propose to apply color information to facilitate finding books in the library. Background: Currently, books are classified in the basis of a decimal classification system and a call number in the library. Users find a book using the call number. However, this classification system causes various difficulties. Method: In a process analysis and survey study, we identify what the real problem is and where the problem is occurred. To solve the real problems, we derived a new search method using color information. We conducted a comparative experiment with 48 participants to see whether the new method can show higher performance. Results: The new method using color information showed faster time and higher subjective rating scores than current call number method. Also, the new method showed faster time regardless of the skill level while the call number method showed time differences in terms of the skill level. Conclusion: The effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by experiments. Users will be able to find the desired book without difficulty. This method can improve the quality of service and satisfaction of library use. Application: Our book search method can be applied as a book search tool in a real public library. We hope that the method can provide higher satisfaction to users.

한국에 서식하는 청개구리(Genus Hyla)의 소리 유형에 대한 분류 (The classification of Call Types in Genus Hyla in Habitats Around south Korea)

  • Five call types of the genus Hyla in habitats around South Korea were classified according to some attributes of their advertisement calls (note duration, note intenral, dominant frequency, sonagram patterns. Among the call types, the E-type was more distinctive than the other call types in that it had a metal sound and much longer note duration and note intenral. This result indicated that some divergence had occurred in the advertisement call of the genus Hylo, though this was found in alimited number of regions and its occurrence was small.

금개구리(Rana plancyi)의 소리 유형과 수온에 따른 소리변화 (The Call Patterns and the Change of Calls by Water Temperature in Rana plancyi (Amphibia, Anura))

  • The study of the Rana plancyi, was done during the calling period at a pond in Osong, Chungbuk, Korea from May to the middle of August of 1996 and 1997. Five basic types of call-A, B, C, D, E, - were identified in Rana plancyi according to the structure of call types. The structure of A type call has only one pulse, B type call has two pulses and C, D type call has one separated pulse which is called introductory call and pulse group as follow it. On the other hand, E type call has 3-6 separate pulses. The interval between introductory call and pulse group is $0.73{\pm}0.29$ s(n=159) in C type call and $0.60{\pm}0.21$ s (n=48) in D type call. The number of pulses in the pulse group is $30.08{\pm}8.69$ in C type call and $15.78{\pm}2.40$ in D type call. An increase in water temperature induces a decrease in C and D type call duration (C type call r= -0.4153, p<0.001, D type call r=-0.7064, p<0.001). In case of C and D type call, the interval between introductory call and pulse group influenced more call duration than pulse group duration. We regarded A, B type call as a territorial call and C, D type call as a mating call and we recognized that E type call has the function of threat or alarm.

  • In this paper, we propose a call admission control scheme which can be used in real environment for the traffic cibtrik if a base station if DS-CDNA cellular systems. The proposed scheme estimates the mean and variance of other cell interference by using the values used for the closed loop power control. The reerse link capacity of the base station can be calculated by using the estimated mean and variance of other cell interference. The base station admits a call only if the number of users is less than the calculated reverse link capacity. In addition, we propose a simple method to obtain the equivalent number of voice call users per one data call user in multi-rate traffic environment. The method can be applied to call admission control in multi-rate traffic environment.

  • This paper proposes a new call admission control scheme utilizing an inverse fuzzy vector quantizer(IFVQ) and neural net, which combines benefits of IFVQ and flexibilities of FCM(Fuzzy-C-Menas) arithmatics, to decide whether a requested call that is not trained in learning phase to be connected or not. The system generates the estimated traffic pattern of the cell stream of a new call, using feasible/infeasible patterns in codebook, fuzzy membership values that represent the degree to which each pattern of codebook matches input pattern, and FCM arithmatics. The input to the NN is the vector consisted of traffic parameters which is the means and variances of the number of cells arriving inthe interval. After training(using error back propagation algorithm), when the NN is used for decision making, the decision as to whether to accept or reject a new call depends on whether the output is greater or less then decision threshold(+0.5). This method is a new technique for call admi sion control using the membership values as traffic parameter which declared to CAC at the call set up stage, and is valid for a very general traffic model in which the calls of a stream can belong to an unlimited number of traffic classes. Through the simmulation. it is founded the performance of the suggested method outforms compared to the conventional NN method.

  • ATM switching system is made up of transport network and control newrk according to its functions. The control device, basic part of control network must be developed before developing any other functions, and control device must be stable and need high reliability. Out distributed ATM switching system consists of several ALSs that provides variable local call services, and an ACS that interconnect among several ALSs. Eech ALS has CCCP that takes charage of call and connection control functions, and ACS has an OMP that takes charge of OA&M(Operation, Administration and Maintenance) functios. In this paper, we analyzed the performance evaluation of control device that manipulate subscriber's call based on ITU-T Q.2931 standard protocol messages and Interprocessor communication messages. As a result of simulation when the number of ALS is under 22, as the call arrival rate increase the processor utilization of CCCP increase rapidly than that of OMP. When the number of ALS is incremented to 22, the processor utilization of CCCP is balanced with the of OMP, and when the number of ALS exceeds 22, the processor utiliztion of OMP increase rapidly. Also if messary processing time of OMP is 1.35 times that of CCCP, processor utilizations of CCCP and OMP is equal.

셀룰러 이동통신망의 적응성 가변경계에서 Overflow와 Preemption을 갖는 호 접속제어 방안 연구 (A Study on the Call Admission Control with Overflow and Preemption at Adaptive Moving Boundary in Cellular Mobile Communications)

  • 멀티미디어를 응용한 서비스 제공이 확대되고 있는 셀룰러 이동통신망에서는 핸드오프호의 절단을(CDP)과 신규 호의 차단을(CBP)을 호레델 QoS 파라미터로 사용하고 있다. 망 서비스 사업자는 CBP보다 CDP에 관심을 두고 CDP를 개선하기 위한 방법으로 핸드오프호에 우선순위를 두어 채널을 할당하는 방법을 사용한다. 그러나 핸드오프호를 위한 채널의 크기에 따라 CDP는 감소시키지만CBP를 증가시키고 채널사용의 효율을 저하시킨다. 본 논문에서는 셀의 채널용량을 신규호 채널영역과 핸드오프호 채널영역으로 구분하고 각 영역을 토큰버킷으로 모델하여 큐잉이론을 적용함으로써 간략한 식으로 CDP 및 CBP를 구하고 이들로 구성된 서비스 등급을 정의하여 서비스 등급이 최소가 되는 핸드오프호 채널영역의 크기를 계산하여 측정기반 적응성 가변경계로 사용하는 기존 연구의 문제점인 트래픽 부하가 높을 경우 증가하는 CDP의 증가를 보완하는 호접속제어를 제안한다. 적응성 가변경계에서 CBP를 고려함으로써 발생된 CDP의 증가는 핸드오프호의 Overflow를 허용함으로써 보완하고 Overflow된 신규호 채널영역의 채널에 대해 신규호의 Preemption을 허용함으로써 CBP에 대한 Overflow의 영향을 제거하여 CDP의 증가를 억제하고 채널사용의 효율을 증가시킨다. 본 연구는 미디어별 QoS에 따라 채널을 할당하여 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하는 셀룰러 이동통신망에 미디어별 QoS를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
