Content Analysis of Food Advertising Directed at Korean Children

  • Children have become the target of intense and specialized food advertising efforts. This study examines the content of TV food advertising and discussed possible concerns from the perspective of children. A total of 102 ads were collected from two cable networks aimed at children. Most of the food ads used emotional appeals and did not provide information clues such as nutrition values. Ads with high sales pressure and celebrity endorsements appeared frequently and the ads for snack foods and high-carbohydrate bakery products were dominant. Understanding food ads can be a significant indicator to establish the orientation of consumer ad education and build educational programs appropriate for children. The issue that appears conspicuous in child targeted advertising and marketing is the childhood obesity and food advertising relation; subsequently, there is a need to evolve advertising that targets children into a positive educational information source.

Therefore, in order to adequately cope with these kinds of rapid changes in the education environment, operating E-Learning Education & company by utilizing various information technologies and its fixations such as Internet, E-mail. CD-ROMs. Interactive Video Networks (Video Conferencing, Video on Demand), CableTV etc., which has no time or location limitation, is needed.

  • In this paper, we deal with a hierarchical location-allocation problem in designing the broadband convergence networks (BcN). The objective is to minimize the total cost of switch and cable while satisfying the quality of service (QoS). We formulate the problem as an integer programming model and develop the Tabu Search (TS) heuristic algorithm to find a good feasible solution within a reasonable time limit. Initial solution is obtained by using the tree structure. Three neighborhood generation mechanisms are used by local search heuristic: insertion, switch up, and switch down. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, we generate lower bounds from nonlinear QoS relaxation problem. We present promising computational results of the proposed solution procedures.

  • An embedded system has been applied to many fields including households and industrial sites. The embedded system is implemented fur image tracking in security area. This system supports a fixed IP far the reliable server operation on TCP/IP networks. A real time video image on the is analyzed to detect a certain invader who jumped into the observed area. The digital camera is connected at the USB host port of the target board. The video images from the video camera is continuously analyzed and displayed at the Linux web-server. The moving vector of the invaders on the continuous image frames is calculated and then it sends the calculated pan/tilt movement. That used Block matching algorithm and edge detection algorithm for past speed. And the displacement vector is used at pan/tilt motor control through RS232 serial cable. The experiment result showed tracking performance by the moving part speed of 10 to 150 pixels/sec.

  • This study deals with various neural network algorithms for the on-site partial discharge pattern recognition. For the purpose, the pattern recognition has been carried out on partial discharge data for the typical artificial defect using 9 different neural network models. In order to enhance on-site applicability, artificial defects were installed in the insulation joint box of extra-high voltage xLPE cables and partial discharges were measured by use of the metal foil sensor and a HFCT as a sensor. As the result, it is found out that the accuracy of pattern recognition could be enhanced through the application of the Sigmoid function, the Momentum algorithm and the Genetic algorism on the artificial neural networks. Although Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) algorism showed the best result among 9 neural network algorisms, it is thought that more researches on others would be needed in consideration of on-site application.

  • Broadcast is evolving into media service aimed at user customization, personalization, and participation with high-quality broadcasting contents (4K/8K/AR/VR). A broadcast infrastructure is needed to engage with the competition for providing large-scaled media traffic process, platform performance for adaptive transcoding to diverse receivers, and intelligent service. Cloud service and virtualization in broadcast are becoming more valuable as the broadcasting environment changes and new high-level broadcasting services emerge. This document describes the examples of cloud and virtualization in the broadcast industry, and prospects the network virtualization of broadcast transmission infrastructure, especially terrestrial and cable networks.

오픈소스 기반의 실시간 EtherCAT 제어 시스템의 구현 (Implementation of Real-time EtherCAT Control System based on Open Source)

  • Real-time control communication network system is important for developing defense robots because it affects environmental interaction, performance, and safety. We propose a real-time control communication network using the Xenomai real-time operating system and the open-source EtherCAT master library, SOEM. EtherCAT is an Ethernet-based industrial communication method. It has low latency and many functions such as cable redundancy and distributed clock synchronization. We use Xenomai RTOS and Intel NUC to develop the system. Experimental tests demonstrate the Real-time EtherCAT master implementation, and communication with CiA301-based slave devices. The jitter measurement was conducted to validate the real-time performance of the system. The proposed system shows possibility for real-time robotics applications in various defense robots.

  • 이 논문에서는 디지털 유선방송 시스템에서 대역외 채널을 통한 시스템 메시지 전송과 데이터 서비스를 위하여 DOCSIS 모뎀을 사용할 때의 성능을 분석하였다. 객관성을 유지하기 위하여 상/하향 채널과 잡음 환경을 고려한 가운데 패킷 크기, 전송스트림 속도, 연결, 단편화, 우선순위 등에 따른 처리율, 평균 접속 지연 및 상향 채널 이용률을 분석하였다. 우선순위를 적용한 경우에 우선순위가 낮은 서비스들은 채널 상에서 계속적으로 기아 상태가 될 수 있는데, 연결과 단편화 기능을 적용하여 이러한 문제를 해결할 수 있었다. 또한 상/하향 채널 상에 잡음을 적용하였을 때. 처리율과 평균 접속 지연의 성능이 잡음이 없을 때와 비교하여 크게 차이나는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 스위치드 디지털 비디오(SDV; Switched Digital Video) 기술은 시청자들이 특정 채널을 선택할 때마다 그 채널에 해당되는 방송 데이터만을 실제로 송출해주는 선택형 송출기술로 현재 주파수 대역폭 부족 문제를 겪고 있는 케이블사업자들에게 주목받고 있다. 미국에서는 이미 SDV 서비스를 성공적으로 상업화하여 2300만 이상의 가구가 SDV 기술을 적용한 케이블 방송을 시청하고 있다. 우리나라 역시 HD 방송, 초고속 인터넷, VoD, VoIP 등의 광대역 고품질 서비스의 수요가 폭발적으로 증가되고 있어 주파수 자원 확보 및 효율적인 자원 관리 방안으로 SDV 기술의 도입을 고려하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SDV 기술의 특징 및 동작 구조, 주파수 절감 효과, 기술적 요구사항에 관해 고찰한다. 그리고, SDV 기술의 채널 스위칭 성능 및 시스템 안정성을 검증하기 위해 SDV 테스트베드를 구축하고 실시된 기술 시험 결과를 분석한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 2가지의 시나리오를 가지고 클라우드 기술 기반 VoD 시스템의 구성 방안을 제안하였다. 첫번째 시나리오는 기존 VoD 시스템에서 DMC 및 각 SO의 콘텐츠 스트리지와 스트림 서버를 가상화하여 추가적으로 필요한 저장용량 및 스트림 서버의 사용을 효율적으로 하는 방법이며, 두 번째 시나리오는 VoD 시스템과 더불어 케이블 방송 시스템을 클라우드화 하는 방법으로 가입자 STB은 네트워크에 연결할 수 있는 최소한의 프로그램과 저장 공간만을 가지고 기존 가입자 STB에 있던 운영체제 및 미들웨어는 클라우드 데이터 센터로 이동하는 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 기존 시스템의 STB 교체비용과 클라우드 VoD 시스템의 구축비용의 비교 등 케이블 방송 환경에 클라우드 기술을 적용하였을 때의 경제성 분석을 통해 클라우드 VoD 시스템의 구축으로 인한 케이블 방송 사업자의 비용절감을 분석하였다.
