  • Purpose - This study verifies the relationship of the authenticity and the fit of CSV activities on brand equity, brand attitude, and purchase intention. The moderating effect by the ethical consumerism was also verified. Research design, data, and methodology - In order to carry out the purpose of this study, 388 survey data were used. Statistic programs, SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 20.0 were used to analyze the data. Results - It was found that the authenticity and the fit of CSV activities had a positive effect on brand equity. • This study focuses on the individual characteristics of consumers and creating shared value in relation to recent increasing value consumption. Specifically, it was intended to verify what socio-psychological variables of consumers affect value congruency and product purchase intentions in relation to cosmetics products based on creating shared value activities. In order to verify hypothesis, an online survey was conducted, and the main and mediate effects of the variables were verified through SPSS' Process Macro method. As a result of empirical analysis, the higher the ethical identity, altruism, and consumer effectiveness, the higher the value congruency. Altruism and consumer effectiveness had a positive impact on purchase intentions. We also find that value congruency has a significant mediating effect on the effect of socio-psychological variables on purchase intention. The results of this study provide practical values and implications for companies' need to emphasize consumers' consumption behavior as it can have a significant positive impact on society. It also suggests the importance of finding out what values consumers seek. In other words, this study can provide strategic implications for public relations plans when performing marketing activities by utilizing the values pursued by CSV in companies. Future research will provide strategic implications for promotional measures when marketing is carried out if the consumer's segment is further refined to verify the effectiveness of creating shared value.

  • We examine the relationship between firms' environmental (E), social (S), and governance (G) factors, with their financial performance in order to provide an empirical rationale for CSV (creating shared value) pursuing both of firms' profitability and CSR (corporate social responsibility). The financial performance is classified into four aspects such as profitability, stability, efficiency, and cash-flow, and each of these aspects is measured by two financial ratios respectively. To measure the firms' ESG performance, we employ the published performance grades by the Korea Corporate Governance Service for a three year span, from 2011 to 2013. Total of eight regression analyses are performed. The results show that firms' non-financial performance in general has statistically significant positive relationships with return on assets, return on net sales, and cash-flow from operating activities ratio, while it has negative relationships with net working capital ratio, asset turnover ratio, and cash-flow from investing activities ratio. It has no significant relationships with debt ratio and equity turnover ratio. The results imply that firms' non-financial performance may have a negative impact on some financial performance such as liquidity and efficiency in a short term, but it would eventually improve the firms' profitability and cash-generating ability, which provides an empirical evidence for the concept of CSV, and motivates the firms to participate in social contribution activities without sacrificing their profitability for their respective sustainablity management.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to attempt to incorporate power theory to evaluate information capability of SCM adopters. Therefore, this study focuses on the relationship of information sharing, partnership quality, and information capacity according to the power intensity of the variables of SCM. and CSV value creation. Design/methodology/approach The questionnaire of SCM builder was conducted and 302 samples were analyzed. Based on the theoretical background of power and information capacity, we set up a structural equation model. Hypothesis testing and statistical analysis were done through AMOS and SPSS. Findings First, it shows that the compensation power among the constrained power has a positive effect on the partnership quality, and the legitimacy power has the positive influence only on the information sharing. Compulsive power, compensation, and legitimacy, which are generally restrictive powers, may reduce the quality of information sharing and partnership, but the results of this study are rather higher. Second, both non-binding power expertise and criterion have a positive effect on information sharing and partnership quality. Third, information sharing has a positive effect on partnership quality. Supporting a number of research results, it is well reflected in SCM attributes where interdependence is important. Fourth, information sharing and partnership quality have a positive effect on information capacity. Information literacy has become an essential element in modern management. Fifth, the enhancement of CSV value creation plays a role of a controlling variable to further strengthen information sharing through non - binding power attribute, expertise and conformity. In addition, the strengthening of CSV value creation has been shown to play a role as a controlling variable to further strengthen the quality of partnership through the non-binding power attribution, but expertise has been rejected.
