A Study on the Investment Efficiency of CB(Convertible Bond) (CB(전환사채)의 투자효율성에 관한 실증연구)

  • CB(Convertible bond) is mezzanine security that have the characteristics of bonds and stocks. From the perspective of investors, the purpose of the research is to empirically investigate the degree of investment efficiency of CB and to suggest efficient investment plans. The research method investigated the maturity interest rate, conversion price, and conversion date for CB, and then linked it with daily stock price fluctuations after the conversion date to determine the degree of investment efficiency and stock conversion effect of CB. As a result of the study, it was analyzed that the ratio of the conversion price exceeded days was only about 1/4 of the conversion date, so the investment efficiency was low. The conversion day yield was -6.3% on average and the maturity day yield was -5.2% on average, showing a minus return on average, which was calculated differently from investor expectations. It was analyzed that the number of stocks with a minus conversion day is 2.4 times greater than the number of plus stocks and 3.7 times more than the number of plus stocks with a minus maturity return, so the expected return on stock conversion of CB is low. The research contribution was derived from the problem that the expected rate of return of CB is not high, and it is that the investor's point of view when purchasing CB was established.

  • Biomass conversion efficiencies (B.C.E) of six fish species viz, Catla catla, Labeo, rohita, Cirrhina mrigala, Hypophthalmicthys molitrix, Ctenopharyngodon idella and Cyprinus carpio cultured under artificial feed (T1), broiler manure (T2), buffalo manure (T3), N:P:K (25:25:0) (T4) and control pond (T5) have been determined for the period of one year. The overall biomass conversion efficiencies under the influence of T2, T3, and T4 were statistically similar. However, the best (0.40) efficiency was determined under feed supplement-ation (T1).

  • In this paper, we present the design of AAL2/AAL5 Type conversion Unit using among BSC, BTS, Core-Network in IMT-2000 system. We first briefly introduce the B-ISDN ATM Adaptation layer specification of Type 2 AAL and Type 5 AAL, and describe conversion flow and each module. And then this paper has designed AAL2/AAL5 Type Conversion Unit and simulated it.

  • It is shown that even if the modulating frequency of the light is too high for direct detection the signal can be extracted by frequency conversion at the same time as the detection by means of the nonlinearity of the APD. When this frequency conversion detection is applied to an optical receiver, the detection bandwidth can be increased while the configuration of the optical detection circuit and the signal processing in the subsequent stages are simplified. A fundamental analysis is carried out with an APD which is confirmed experimentally.

  • One of major research issues in cellular manufacturing is studing factors that are fovorable or detrimental to the conversion of traditional functional layouts to GT cellular layouts. Among many factors, this paper explored plausible relationships between the scope of plant conversion and the manufacturing cell design processes and outcomes. The cell design practices of 28 U. S. plants were surveyed through a mail questionaire. While most relationships were not statistically significant, some interesting findings and insights could be drawn. With this researhc, we can better understand a part of relationships between the company's conversion strategy and the cell design strategies and outcomes.

  • This paper proposes an area-efficient FIR filter architecture for sampling rate conversion of hi-fi audio data. Sampling rate conversion(SRC) block converts audio data sampled at 96KHz down to 48KHz sampled data and vice versa. 63-tap FIR filter coefficients have been synthesized that gives 100dB stop band attenuation and 5.2KHz transition bandwidth. Time-shared filter architecture requires only one multiplier and accumulator for 63-tap filter operation. This results in huge hardware saving of up to 10~19 times smaller compared with traditional FIR structure.

  • 본 논문은 IJG(Independent JPEG Group) JPEG 부호기의 처리 과정중 color table 과 context 버퍼를 이용한 color conversion과 downsampling 방법에 대해 소개한다. IJG JPEG은 전처리 과정에서 context buffer 사용함으로써 각 컴포넌트(RGB)에 대한 color conversion과 downsampling을 효과적으로 수행한다. 또한 각 컴포넌트(RGB)에 대한 부동 소수점 연산의 처리 결과를 미리 계산하여 color table에 저장함으로써 color converter에서 이를 참조, 색차 변환 계산에 적용하도록 하여 처리 속도를 향상 시키고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 IJG JPEG의 부호화 과정에서 사용되는 context 버퍼의 구조와 필요성 그리고 color table의 구조와 효과에 대하여 소개한다.

  • 본 논문에서 영역 분할을 기반으로 하는 새로운 scan rate of-conversion 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 공간적 보간 방법과 기존의 시간적 보간 방법을 이용하여 시공간 보간을 한다. 제안된 방법에서는 먼저 분수령 알고리즘을 이용한 영역 분할하고, 분할된 영역을 기반으로 하여 영역간의 에지 방향성을 결정한다. 기존 알고리즘과 같이 화소간 값 차이를 이용하여 에지의 방향을 구하지 않고 분할된 영역에서 영역구분에 따른 방향에 따라 보간을 함으로써 에지를 유지하면서 scan rate up-conversion을 할 수 있다.

  • We report on the simulation results of 1)the second harmonic conversion with $1.053{\mu}m$ Nd:glass laser using monolithic KDP crystal and 2)the efficient conversion from $1.053{\mu}m$ to $0.35{\mu}m$ by the polarization-mismatch 3rd harmonic conversion in two Type-II crystals.
