초연합금절단공구상에 TiN의 화학증착피막에 관한 연구 (The Chemical Vapor Deposition of TiN on Cemented Tungsten Carbide Cutting Tools)

  • The effects of the simultaneous variations of the ratio of feed gases(H2/N2 Flow ratio), feed gas flow rate (H2/N2, total-flow rate) and partial pressures of TiCl4 (PTiCl41) as well as deposition time and cobalt content of the substrate on the deposition rate of the TiN Coated Cemented Tungsten Carbide Tools were investigated. Deposition was carried out in the temperature range of 930$^{\circ}C$-1080$^{\circ}C$ and an activation energy of 46.5 Kcal/mole can be calculated. Transverse rupture strength was noticeably reduced by the TiN coating on the virgin surfa-ce of Cemented Tungsten Carbide, the extent of which was decreased according to the coa-ting thickness. Microhardness value observed on the work was in the range of 1700∼2000kg/mm, which were in well agreement with the value of bult TiN. The wear resistance of TiN layers was performed by turning test and it was observed that crater and flank resistance remarkably enhanced by TiN coating.

대동맥 축착증에 동반된 대동맥류 치험 1례 (Coarctation of the Aorta Associated with Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm)

  • Development of an aneurysm in the thoracic aorta, intercostal arteries, or cerebral vessels is not an uncommon occurrence in patients with coarctation of the aorta. The mechanism whereby coarctation predisposes to aneurysm formation is incompletely understood and we suggest that in this case, an intrinsic factor in the wall of the aorta underlies the formation of aneurysms. Recently we experienced one case of COA associated with the thoracic aortic aneurysm and operation was done successfully. PDA was simply ligated and the aorta was cross-clamped proximally and distally and the area of constriction or aneurysmal site were excised. Postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged 2 weeks after operation. Hypertension at upper extremities was controlled without any antihypertensive drugs after operation and the degree of regurgitation of mitral valve was improved postoperatively but long-term follow-up should be necessary.

퍼지 논리기반 HAUSDORFF 거리를 이용한 물체 인식 (Comparing object images using fuzzy-logic induced Hausdorff Distance)

  • 본 논문에서는 쿼리 영상에 대하여 가장 정확하게 정합되는 영상을 찾기 위한 새로운 이진 영상 정합 방법인 퍼지 기반 하우스도르프 방법을 제안한다, 먼저 하우스도르프 거리를 이용하여 최소거리 분포를 얻은 후 반경에 해당하는 집함의 개수를 이용하여 소속함수로 표현한다. 제안한 방법에서는 소속함수로 정의된 거리 분포에 대하여 퍼지 추론과정을 도입하여 최종적인 정합 후보를 구하게 된다. 제안된 방법을 실제 잡음이 부가된 얼굴 영상과 문자 인식에 적용하여 그 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 무선 네트워크를 통해 인터넷에 접속하려는 이동노드 수가 늘어남에 따라 다수의 이동노드에게 무선 서비스를 제공해야하는 HA(Hone Agent)와 FA(Foreign Agent)에서의 부하도 함께 증가하고 있다. 특히 지역적 등록(Regional Registration)에서와 같이 투선 네트워크 도메인의 최상위 FA가 현재 도메인에 로밍한 모든 이동노드의 COA로 동작함으로 인해 발생하는 부하는 최상위 FA에서 혼잡 및 지연의 원인이 된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 최상위 FA에서 발생말 수 있는 부하를 하위 FA에게 분산하기 위하여 두 가지 접근방법인 Passive Approach와 Active Approach를 제안한다 Passive Approach는 부모 FA가 부하 분산 시점을 결정하여 자식 FA에게 분산해주는 기법이고 Active Approach는 임의의 FA가 스스로 분산 시점을 결정하여 상위 FA에서 발생할 수 있는 부하를 완화시켜주는 기법이다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 Active Approach의 한 형태를 띠고 있는 기존 연구인 LNSP 기법과 성능을 비교하여 가장 효율적인 부하 분산 방법을 제시한다.

  • Sulfur hexa-fluoride has been used as a etching gas in semiconductor industry. From the globally environmental issues, it is urgent to control the emissions of this significant greenhouse gas. The main objective of this experimental investigation was to find the effective catalyst for $SF_6$ decomposition. The precursor catalyst of hexa-aluminate was prepared to investigate the catalytic activity and stability. The precursor catalyst of hexa-aluminate was modified with Ni to enhance the catalytic activities and stability. The catalytic activity for $SF_6$ decomposition increased by the addition of Ni and maximized at 6wt% addition of Ni. The addition of 6wt% Ni in precursor catalyst of hexa-aluminate improved the resistant to the HF and reduced the crystallization and phase transition of catalyst.

  • Experience with intracardiac surgery in infants indicates that for most anomalies the operation and late mortality after primary total correction is lower than the combined mortality after early palliation and delayed correction. In addition, there are secondary benefits of primary total correction in terms of reversal of retarded physical growth and social development and alleviation of parental anxiety. One hundred and fifteen infants under 2 years of age with congenital cardiac anomalies underwent primary surgical intervention at Seoul National University Hospital from Jan. `78 to Sep. `82. There were 70 patients with VSD, 17 patients with TOF, 10 patients with TGA, 4 patients with ASD, 4 patients with TA, 3 patients with TAPVR, and the remainders are Coronary AV Fistula, partial ECD+COA, SV, DORV, PA, Trilogy+PDA. The overall surgical mortality was 18.3%. In acyanotic group 6 patients died among 76 operated patients, and surgical mortality was 6.6%. But in cyanotic group, the mortality was very high as41.0% [16 patients among 39 patients]. This poor surgical result in cyanotic group was due to Improper pre-, intra- and post-operative care, and we are convincing that these factors soon be improved as experiences accumulated.

MRAS Based Speed Estimator for Sensorless Vector Control of a Linear Induction Motor with Improved Adaptation Mechanisms

  • This paper deals with model reference adaptive system (MRAS) speed estimators based on a secondary flux for linear induction motors (LIMs). The operation of these estimators significantly depends on an adaptation mechanism. Fixed-gain PI controller is the most common adaptation mechanism that may fail to estimate the speed correctly in different conditions, such as variation in machine parameters and noisy environment. Two adaptation mechanisms are proposed to improve LIM drive system performance, particularly at very low speed. The first adaptation mechanism is based on fuzzy theory, and the second is obtained from an LIM mechanical model. Compared with a conventional PI controller, the proposed adaptation mechanisms have low sensitivity to both variations of machine parameters and noise. The optimum parameters of adaptation mechanisms are tuned using an offline method through chaotic optimization algorithm (COA) because no design criterion is given to provide these values. The efficiency of MRAS speed estimator is validated by both numerical simulation and real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) implementations. Results indicate that the proposed adaptation mechanisms improve performance of MRAS speed estimator.

다공성 분리막을 이용한 최적의 Bio-gas 분리인자 도출 (A Study on the Optimal Conditions of the Biogas Sorting by Using the Polysulfone Membrane)

  • The objective of this research is to evaluate optimal conditions of permeability and selectivity on the polysulfone membrane for efficiency of separation of $CH_4$ by checking four factors which are temperature, pressure, gas compositions and gas flow rates. When higher pressure was applied at the input, lower efficiency of recovery of $CH_4$ and higher efficiency of separation of $CH_4$ were shown. It has the tendency to show lower efficiency of recovery of $CH_4$ and higher efficiency of separation of $CH_4$ at the output as higher temperature at input. The lower flow rates make higher efficiency of recovery of $CH_4$ and lower efficiency of separation of $CH_4$. Finally, over 90% efficiency for $CH_4$ separation and recovery conditions are temperature ($-5^{\circ}C$), pressure (8 bar), gas composition rate (6:4) ($CH_4:CO_2$) and gas flow rate ($5\ell$/min). These conditions make higher separation and recovery efficiency such as 90.1% and 92.1%, respectively.

  • For traditional Leak-Before-Break(LBB) analyses, symmetric conditions were assumed for a pipe-nozzle interface to simplify the analysis in calculating J-integral. However. this assumption could result in an overly conservative design criteria for a pipe-nozzle interface, Since the pipe-nozzle interface is asymmetric due to the difference of stiffness between pipe and nozzle, it is required to develop a new methodology considering the nozzle effect. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the effect of nozzle no the development of LBB design criteria for nuclear pipings. For this purpose, extensive finite element analysis were performed to evaluate the effect of nozzle on Crack Opening Area(COA), Detectable Leakage Crack(DLC) length and J-integral values. In conclusion, it was proven that the application of LBB concept could be extended for more nuclear piping system by considering the nozzle.

대동맥판막하 막상협착증의 수술요법 (Surgical Treatment of Discrete Subaortic Stenosis)

  • During the 4 year period from 1982 through 1985, twelve patients have undergone operations for discrete subaortic stenosis with good short-term clinical result at Department of Thoracic and cardiovascular Surgery, S.N.U.H. According to the cineangiographic and operative findings, nine of the 12 patients were classified as Deutsch type I, the other 3 as type II, and eleven of the 12 had one or more associated anomalies of the cardiovascular system such as PDA[5], VSD[5], left SVC[2], MS[1], COA[1], supramitral membrane[1], DORY[1], right aortic arch[1], DCRV[1], and TOF[1] [one with Shone`s complex], and three of them had secondary cardiac disorders such as aortic regurgitation[3],mitral regurgitation[2], and tunnel shaped dynamic obstruction of left ventricular outflow tract[2]. We have performed membrane resection via oblique aortotomy with retraction of the aortic cusps in 7 cases and via VSD from right cardiac chamber in 5 cases with large VSD and have also performed the operations on the correctable associated anomalies. There was only one operative death in patient with associated TOF due to neurologic complication and no other postoperative difficulties except in one patient with transient heart block resolved spontaneously on postoperative 3rd day. To our knowledge, this article is the first report of operation for discrete subaortic stenosis in Korean literature.
