In semiconductor manufacturing, defect detection is critical to maintain high yield. Currently, computer vision systems used in semiconductor photo lithography still have adopt to digital image processing algorithm, which often occur inspection faults due to sensitivity to external environment. Thus, we intend to handle this problem by means of using Mask R-CNN instead of digital image processing algorithm. Additionally, Mask R-CNN can be trained with image dataset pre-processed by means of the specific designed digital image filter to extract the enhanced feature map of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Our approach converged advantage of digital image processing and instance segmentation with deep learning yields more efficient semiconductor photo lithography inspection system than conventional system.

With the recent development of deep learning, most computer vision-related tasks are being solved with deep learning-based network technologies such as CNN and RNN. Computer vision tasks such as object detection or object segmentation use intermediate features extracted from the same backbone such as Resnet or FPN for training and inference for object detection and segmentation. In this paper, an experiment was conducted to find out the compression efficiency and the effect of encoding on task inference performance when the features extracted in the intermediate stage of CNN are encoded. The feature map that combines the features of 256 channels into one image and the original image were encoded in HEVC to compare and analyze the inference performance for object detection and segmentation. Since the intermediate feature map encodes the five levels of feature maps (P2 to P6), the image size and resolution are increased compared to the original image. However, when the degree of compression is weakened, the use of feature maps yields similar or better inference results to the inference performance of the original image.
Recent developments in machine learning have attracted a lot of attention for techniques such as machine learning and deep learning that implement artificial intelligence. In this paper, binary malicious code using deep learning based R-CNN is imaged and the feature is extracted from the image to classify the family. In this paper, two steps are used in deep learning to image malicious code using CNN. And classify the characteristics of the family of malicious codes using R-CNN. Generate malicious code as an image, extract features, classify the family, and automatically classify the evolution of malicious code. The detection rate of the proposed method is 93.4% and the accuracy is 98.6%. In addition, the CNN processing speed for image processing of malicious code is 23.3 ms, and the R-CNN processing speed is 4ms to classify one sample.

This paper introduces a method for improving accuracy using the first convolution layer, which is not used in most modified CNN(: Convolution Neural Networks). In CNN, such as GoogLeNet and DenseNet, the first convolution layer uses only the traditional methods(3×3 convolutional computation, batch normalization, and activation functions), replacing this with RGB-csb. In addition to the results of preceding studies that can improve accuracy by applying RGB values to feature maps, the accuracy is compared with existing CNN using a limited number of images. The method proposed in this paper shows that the smaller the number of images, the greater the learning accuracy deviation, the more unstable, but the higher the accuracy on average compared to the existing CNN. As the number of images increases, the difference in accuracy between the existing CNN and the proposed method decreases, and the proposed method does not seem to have a significant effect.

All application programs, including malware, call the Application Programming Interface (API) upon execution. Recently, using those characteristics, attempts to detect and classify malware based on API Call information have been actively studied. However, datasets containing API Call information require a large amount of computational cost and processing time. In addition, information that does not significantly affect the classification of malware may affect the classification accuracy of the learning model. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method of extracting a essential feature set after reducing the dimensionality of API Call information by applying various feature selection methods. We used CICAndMal2020, a recently announced Android malware dataset, for the experiment. After extracting the essential feature set through various feature selection methods, Android malware classification was conducted using CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) and the results were analyzed. The results showed that the selected feature set or weight priority varies according to the feature selection methods. And, in the case of binary classification, malware was classified with 97% accuracy even if the feature set was reduced to 15% of the total size. In the case of multiclass classification, an average accuracy of 83% was achieved while reducing the feature set to 8% of the total size.
Image steganalysis is an algorithm that classifies input images into stego images with steganography methods and cover images without steganography methods. Previously, handcrafted feature-based steganalysis methods have been mainly studied. However, CNN-based objects recognition has achieved great successes and CNN-based steganalysis is actively studied recently. Unlike object recognition, CNN-based steganalysis requires preprocessing filters to discriminate the subtle difference between cover images from stego images. Therefore, CNN-based steganalysis studies have focused on developing effective preprocessing filters as well as network structures. In this paper, we compare previous studies in same experimental conditions, and based on the results, we analy ze the performance variation caused by the differences in preprocessing filter and network structure.
In this paper, a covariance matrix and modulogram are proposed for realizing amphibian sound classification using CNN (Convolutional Neural Network). First of all, a database is established by collecting amphibians sounds including endangered species in natural environment. In order to apply the database to CNN, it is necessary to standardize acoustic signals with different lengths. To standardize the acoustic signals, covariance matrix that gives distribution information and modulogram that contains the information about change over time are extracted and used as input to CNN. The experiment is conducted by varying the number of a convolutional layer and a fully-connected layer. For performance assessment, several conventional methods are considered representing various feature extraction and classification approaches. From the results, it is confirmed that convolutional layer has a greater impact on performance than the fully-connected layer. Also, the performance based on CNN shows attaining the highest recognition rate with 99.07 % among the considered methods.

We propose classification algorithms for human and dog movement. The proposed algorithms use micro-Doppler signals obtained from humans and dogs moving in four different directions. A two-stage classifier based on a support vector machine (SVM) is proposed, which uses a radial-based function (RBF) kernel and $16^{th}$-order linear predictive code (LPC) coefficients as feature vectors. With the proposed algorithms, we obtain the best classification results when a first-level SVM classifies the type of movement, and then, a second-level SVM classifies the moving object. We obtain the correct classification probability 95.54% of the time, on average. Next, to deal with the difficult classification problem of human and dog running, we propose a two-layer convolutional neural network (CNN). The proposed CNN is composed of six ($6{\times}6$) convolution filters at the first and second layers, with ($5{\times}5$) max pooling for the first layer and ($2{\times}2$) max pooling for the second layer. The proposed CNN-based classifier adopts an auto regressive spectrogram as the feature image obtained from the $16^{th}$-order LPC vectors for a specific time duration. The proposed CNN exhibits 100% classification accuracy and outperforms the SVM-based classifier. These results show that the proposed classifiers can be used for human and dog classification systems and also for classification problems using data obtained from an ultra-wideband (UWB) sensor.

In this paper, we propose a prediction model for osteopenia and osteoporosis based on a convolutional neural network(CNN) using computed tomography(CT) images. In a single CT image, CNN had a limitation in utilizing important local features for diagnosis. So we propose a compound model which has two identical structures. As an input, two different texture images are used, which are converted from a single normalized CT image. The two networks train different information by using dissimilarity loss function. As a result, our model trains various features in a single CT image which includes important local features, then we ensemble them to improve the accuracy of predicting osteopenia and osteoporosis. In experiment results, our method shows an accuracy of 77.11% and the feature visualize of this model is confirmed by using Grad-CAM.

As the development of internet of energy (IoE) technologies and spread of various electronic devices have diversified patterns of energy consumption, the reliability of demand prediction has decreased, causing problems in optimization of power generation and stabilization of power supply. In this study, we propose a deep learning method, 1-Dimention-Convolution and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (1D-ConvBLSTM), that combines a convolution neural network (CNN) and a Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(BLSTM) for highly reliable demand forecasting by effectively extracting the energy consumption pattern. In experimental results, the demand is predicted with the proposed deep learning method for various number of learning iterations and feature maps, and it is verified that the test data is predicted with a small number of iterations.
