바이모달 저상굴절차량용 견인전동기 설계에 관한 고찰 (A study of traction motor for Bimodal low floor vehicle)

  • This paper deal with the design concept of traction motor for Bimodal low floor vehicles that are CNG(Compressed Natural Gas) hybrid bus and Fuel-cell bus. The design concept of the traction motor is studied in terms of electrical characteristics and mechanical construction. Finally, this paper introduces the characteristic of the traction motor for low floor vehicles which are applied in the world, and mentioned the detail design concept of traction motor.

가스 자동차의 지하 주차 시 위험성 분석 (A Study of Risk Analysis for Underground-parking of Gas Vehicle)

  • We studied the risk analysis of fire and explosion caused by gas leak in underground-parking of gas vehicle. However, an entrance regulation of gas vehicles (H2/LPG/CNG etc.) to underground garages has not been enacted in Korea. Incase, a gas explodes in an underground parking garage placed in overcrowded residential area, such as an apartment, the scale of the damage would cause tremendous disaster. Faults of vehicle parts and management problems were evaluated by using the Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), which is a qualitative analysis method. The range of the damaged area by the explosion and the damage scale by the explosion pressure were analyzed by using the process hazard analysis software tool (PHAST). The study is expected to facilitate enactment of the regulation for the underground parking to restrict the gas vehicle.

친환경 버스 도입에 따른 경제성 분석에 관한 연구 (대구광역시 중심으로) (A Study on the Economic Analysis of Introducing Battery-Based Eco Bus: Case Study of Daegu City, South Korea)

  • Renewable energy sources has drawn considerable attention as clean energy sources because of changing public attitudes regarding greenhouse gas and fine dust. Recently, in this respect, the government provides the drivers of electric vehicles with various benefits such as tax reduction, financial incentives and free parking from the public to the private sector. Plug-in electric vehicles are the most common in the private sector. Otherwise, different types of battery-based buses in the public sector are being developed, and there are three main types of charging: plug-in, battery swapping and wireless. Therefore, economic assessment of charging types in each bus route is required in order to facilitate the use of battery-based buses instead of the existing CNG buses. In this paper, net present value(NPV) and B/C ratio of charging types are evaluated in consideration of the bus schedule, the cost of charging station, and the life cycle of battery, etc. per each bus route. In case study, main bus routes in Daegu City are simulated with the proposed evaluation method to validate the eco-bus project.

냉각팬 전자제어를 통한 시내버스의 연비 개선 (The Effect of Cooling Fan Control on Fuel Economy of City Bus)

  • This paper focuses on cooling fan control by using a magnetic clutch type for the improvement of fuel economy on a heavy city bus. In general, Heavy duty vehicles use viscous clutch type cooling fan which has some disadvantages, such as slow response, wide temperature variation of engine coolant water. But a magnetic clutch type cooling fan can be controlled electronically so the engine coolant temperature can be precisely controllable and this effects could be used to reduce fuel consumption. A control system for applying the magnetic clutch type cooling fan was developed in this study and applied to the real field test and chassis dynamometer test. The result showed well controlled coolant temperature and enhancement of fuel economy.

국내 수소충전소의 적정 용량 분석 (Study on the Optimum Capacity Analysis for Hydrogen Fueling Station in Korea)

  • At present, hydrogen is emerging as a future energy source based on environment-friendly aspect, creation of new industry, and enhancement of domestic energy security. In accordance with it, the world's leading automobile companies are focusing on the development and commercialization of hydrogen electric vehicle technology, and each country is strengthening its hydrogen fueling station deployment strategy for its own country. Furthermore, the supply of hydrogen fueling stations is actively promoting under national support. More than 500 hydrogen fueling stations are being constructed, operated and planned around the world. The introduction of hydrogen energy is also progressing in Korea, by announcing road-map to supply hydrogen electric vehicles and hydrogen fueling stations by year. However, there is insufficient discussion on the capacity of hydrogen fueling station in Korea. Therefore, this study suggests the optimum capacity of hydrogen fuelling station for domestic hydrogen economy.

바이모달 트램 차량용 차체 및 실내의장의 설계사양 (Design Specifications of Car body and Interiors for Bimodal Tram Vehicle)

  • Since tram has the advantages to reduce construction cost of infrastructure, to improve accessibility of passengers, and to offer visual pleasures, nowadays, it is one of light rails attracting public attention. Tram can be classified into two groups, one is a conventional steel-wheeled type, and the other is a rubber-tired type (bi-modal tram). The bi-modal tram propelled by the serial CNG hybrid propulsion unit has been developing since 2003 in Korea, which can realize both scheduled operation of railway and route flexibility of bus. Because the bimodal will be operated on both railway mode and bus mode, however, specific criteria and regulations for its design, certification, construction, operation and maintenance have not been determined definitely yet. In consideration of mobility enhancement for the old and the handicapped, motor vehicle safety standard and urban transit (railway vehicle) safety standard, several design specifications were proposed for car body and interiors of the bimodal tram vehicle. The design specifications proposed in this paper can be expected to promote passengers' comfort and safety, operation efficiency of the bimodal tram.

  • Bimodal Tram is the new conceptual and environmental-friendly public transportation which adopted series hybrid system. The generator driven by CNG engine supplies the electric power to Battery and traction motor. The generator installed on the vehicle will experience the mechanical vibration and electrical transient variation. Those may cause some defects on the generator which will be the hazardous effects to the vehicle. This paper has investigated the possibility to find out some diagnostic features for the defects of generator through the voltage and current generated from it. Those were analyzed in both time and frequency regions. For the next, more works will be needed to complete the purpose of this paper.

  • The high pressure hydrogen gas refueling system is required for fuel cell vehicle. In this paper, a commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code, FLUENT is adopted to investigate the gas flow characteristics inside the check valve for various refueling and tank pressures. The results showed that the choking phenomena can occur for certain refueling pressures, therefore refueling processes should be divided by multiple stages. And a design method to prevent the seal departure problem which reported in CNG usages is required.

LPG-수소복합충전소 운영데이터 모니터링 분석 (Analysis of Operation Data Monitoring for LPG-Hydrogen Multi-Fueling Station)

  • 최근 수소충전소 수요 증가에 따라, 산업통상자원부는 LPG, CNG, 주유소 등 기존의 자동차용 연료공급시설 내에 융합, 복합의 형태로 수소충전소 설치가 가능하도록 특례고시를 제정·공포하였다. 수소 융복합충전소는 특례기준 제정 이전까지 국내에서 운영된 사례가 없어, 4계절, 일교차와 같은 환경특성을 감안한 실증이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는, 국내 최초로 실증을 위해 설치된 울산 LPG-수소복합충전소의 충전데이터를 수집하여 분석하였다. 충전데이터는 압축기, 저장용기, 디스펜서에서 발생한 시간별 온도, 압력 데이터이며, 계절별 특성을 비교하기 위해 2018년 7월 중 울산 지역의 최고기온 일과 2018년 1월 중 최저기온 일을 포함하여 4계절 충전데이터를 수집하여 비교하였다. 비교결과, 외기온도의 변화가 수소차 차량용기의 초기온도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 최종적으로 차량의 충전시간과 충전속도에도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 국내 수소충전소 기준(KGS FP217)과 미국의 충전프로토콜(SAE J2601)에서 제시한 한계온도를 초과한 경우는 없어 차량용기에 대한 영향은 없는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 논문은 자동차용 type II CNG 연료탱크의 손상평가를 위하여 파열시험 중 발생하는 음향방출 변수의 분석에 관한 연구이다. 음향방출 신호의 kaiser effect, felicity effect 및 creep effect의 관찰과 전체 hits에서 진폭 60dB이상의 hits가 차지하는 비율 계산으로 연료탱크의 손상도를 평가할 수 있었으며, 평균 rise time, 평균 진폭 및 평균 initial, reverbration 주파수를 분석함으로써 압력용기의 손상메커니즘을 추정하였다.
