Recent observations reveal that some early-type galaxies show a color-magnitude relation of blue globular clusters (GCs) in the color-magnitude diagrams, which is referred to as 'blue tilt'. This phenomenon is interpreted as a mass-metallicity relation -- metallicities of blue GCs increase with increasing mass, and thus provides a crucial clue to the chemical enrichment processes of GCs as a function of their mass. However, some galaxies show 'non-tilt' or even 'reverse blue tilt' on the blue GC sequence, and thus the origin of blue tilt still remains a puzzle. In this study, we put forward the theoretical explanation for the phenomenon and discuss its implications towards galaxy formation scenarios.

Objectives : Xiaochaihutang(小柴胡湯) is a famous herbal prescription in the Traditional Korean Medicine, and its components include Bupleuri Radix(柴胡), Scutellariae Radix(黃芩), Ginseng Radix(人蔘), Pinelliae Tuber(半夏), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma(甘草), Zingiberis Rhizoma Crudus(生薑), Zizyphi Fructus(大棗). Methods : In this study, we reviewed the effects of xiaochaihutang by searching Pubmed. And we connected with Korean Standard Classification of Diseases (KCD) and the effects of xiaochaihutang. Results and Conclusion : The effects of xiaochaihutang was related with B18, C22, C34, C56, J30, J45, K70, K74, K76, F32, F33, F34, F41 as indicated by KCD. In clinics, the medical doctors almost use the KCD code for insurance. This review give us the scientific clue of Xiaochaihutang's effect in KCS system.

Analyzing various works of Nam June Paik who pioneered the world of video art, we can find a number of audiovisual art pieces - in a broad sense - with the characteristics of "intermedia" that are not clearly identified as one genre. Especially, his career as a musician becomes an important clue for us to discuss the unique originality found in Paik's works. Nevertheless, examples of research that specifically explore how Paik's musicality is reflected in his artistry and could be deeply understood is still rare. This article examines Paik's audiovisual art world, and reviews how his musicality is expressed through the characteristics of media and form, as well as contributed to the ultimate technical and aesthetic realizations of his pieces from the perspective of musical synesthesia. The fact that Paik expanded the concept of music through technology, and fused different media to visualize music, is an important achievement in the context of aesthetic, synesthetic music in the field of audiovisual art.

This paper proposes a single sign-on scheme in which a mobile user offers his credential information to a home network running the OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative) service platform, to obtain user authentication and control a remote device through a mobile device using this authentication scheme, based on SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language). Especially by defining the single sign-on profile to overcome the handicap of the low computing and memory capability of the mobile device, we provide a clue to applying automated user authentication to control a remote device via a mobile device for distributed mobile environments such as a home network based on OSGi.

This study is on landscape design of existing rural village focused on for improvement of community. It's so one of serious problems in landscape in almost rural area of the nation. For the finding clue of landscape design of village view through this study, we surveyed 1 village located in Sangju city. By surveying landscape design factor of village, we can propose design method and a few results as follow; Firstly, the structure of village landscape has five principle factors. The five factors of landscape are history and culture, housing and building, nature, agriculture, and environment design. Secondly, color existing of housings is to contain a primary color on roof which is not in harmony. Nevertheless, we can also find the reform measure and the possibility because of the knowledge of village people.

시간과 장소에 제한 없이 편리하게 근무함으로써 업무 효율성을 향상시키기 위한 "스마트워크 활성화" 계획이 수립되어 추진중에 있다. 스마트워크 유형으로는 모바일 오피스, 홈 오피스, 스마트워크 센터 그리고 스마트 오피스로 구분될 수 있다. 이러한 스마트 근무 환경을 구축하기 위해서는 제약없는 정보 공유와 상호 협력이 가능하도록 원격 협업 시스템이 도입되어야 한다. 원격 협업에 가장 많이 활용되고 있는 영상회의 경우, 이미 상용화 제품이 널리 사용되고 있으나, 이기종 제품간 상호연동이 되지 않고 있어 이를 해결하고자 하는 표준화가 진행되고 있다. 또한, 영상회의 시스템은 실제 참가자들이 동일한 장소에 모여 회의를 하는 것처럼 실감적인 환경을 지원하기 위해 텔레프레즌스 시스템으로 발전하고 있는 추세다. ITU-T, IETF, IMTC 국제 표준화 단체에서는 여러 유형의 영상회의 또는 텔레프레즌스 시스템간 상호 연동성을 보장하기 위해 요구되는 연동 기술 표준을 개발하고 있다. 본 고에서는 ITU-T SG16 Q5, IETF CLUE 워킹그룹에서 진행중인 최신 표준화 동향을 소개한다. 또한, 공공 및 민간기관에 스마트워크 확산을 위해 이기종 영상회의 시스템간 연동이 가능한 국내 표준 개발이 진행되고 있는데, 주요 기술 이슈에 대한 동향을 소개하고자 한다.

The cervicogenic headache is not well defined for its characteristics and development of disease. It is developed by many causes including trauma principally. But, most cases have no radiologically specific clue for diagnosis. So, past hisory and clinical symptoms and signs are important for clinician to detect and diagnose the disease. Our clinic had treated the 2 cases of cervicogenic headache with different methods, and the patients were well respond the therapy.

This paper describes the automatic recognition technique for heart enlargement diagnosis with the chest X-ray films enhanced by digital image processing. The technique measures a maximum transverse of the daiphragm and a maximum transverse of the heart by means of direction signature algorithms, then calculates the desired ratio of these two measured values. This is often refered to a cadiothoracic ratio which gives as useful clue for heart enlargement symptom. The experiment results in this paper show presented method is more efficient than the manual diagnosis method of the symptom.

Point contact film thickness in elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) is analyzed by the image processing method for the monochromatic incident light. Interference between the reflected lights both on Cr coating of glass disk and on super finished ball makes circular fringes, which are regarded as film thickness together with numbering of fringe order. In this study, we developed technology to measure the film thickness by analyzing dark and bright intensity waves which results from monochrome green light. Two typical fringe patterns only with intensity values 3re examined for the measurement of point contact EHL film thickness. We expect that this technology will give valuable clue to improve color image processing analysis for high resolution of EHL film thickness with white incident light.

An investigation into the influence of ultrasonic standing wave on the structural behavior of propane/air premixed flame has been made to get a clue to the combustion reaction acceleration and combustion instability. Visualization technique utilizing the Schlieren photography was employed for the observation of structural variation of the flame reaction zone. Evolutionary characteristics of the flame front were caught by the high-speed Schlieren image, through which local flame velocity of the moving front were analyzed in detail.
