Capicua (CIC) is a transcriptional repressor that regulates several developmental processes. CIC deficiency results in lymphoproliferative autoimmunity accompanied by expansion of CD44^hiCD62L^lo effector/memory and follicular Th cell populations. Deletion of Cic alleles in hematopoietic stem cells (Vav1-Cre-mediated knockout of Cic) causes more severe autoimmunity than that caused by the knockout of Cic in CD4⁺CD8⁺ double positive thymocytes (Cd4-Cre-mediated knockout of Cic). In this study, we compared splenic CD4⁺ T cell activation and proliferation between whole immune cell-specific Cic-null (Cic^f/f;Vav1-Cre) and T cell-specific Cic-null (Cic^f/f;Cd4-Cre) mice. Hyperactivation and hyperproliferation of CD4⁺ T cells were more apparent in Cic^f/f;Vav1-Cre mice than in Cic^f/f;Cd4-Cre mice. Cic^f/f;Vav1-Cre CD4⁺ T cells more rapidly proliferated and secreted larger amounts of IL-2 upon TCR stimulation than did Cic^f/f;Cd4-Cre CD4⁺ T cells, while the TCR stimulation-induced activation of the TCR signaling cascade and calcium flux were comparable between them. Mixed wild-type and Cic^f/f;Vav1-Cre bone marrow chimeras also exhibited more apparent hyperactivation and hyperproliferation of Cic-deficient CD4⁺ T cells than did mixed wild-type and Cic^f/f;Cd4-Cre bone marrow chimeras. Taken together, our data demonstrate that CIC deficiency at the beginning of T cell development endows peripheral CD4⁺ T cells with enhanced T cell activation and proliferative capability.

In this paper, a low-power CIC(U Integrator Comb) filter bank structure is proposed for wireless communication systems. Since conventional CIC filter can not meet the desired center frequencies in each channel of filter banks, we developed a Modified CIC Filter(MCF) for those purpose.

최근, VPN기술은 보안 통신을 위해 자주 사용되고 있다. 비록 IPsec이 표준화 되었지만 많은 Vender들의 구현은 아직까지 완전한 상호간의 호환성을 갖지는 못하고 있다. 본 논문은 IP-VPN에 있어 상호 호환성 문제를 연구했다. 연구결과, 서로 다른 IP-VPN 구현에 있어 상호 호환성을 지원할 수 있는 Common Interface Component(CIC)를 제안하게 되었다. CIC와 CIC-Manager는 다양한 IP-VPN 구현에 있어서 상호 호환성의 해결책물 제공한다. 또한 CIC를 이용하여 다양한 표준을 지원할 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 라디오 수신기의 programmable down converter(PDC) 구현을 위한 효율적인 데시메이션 필터 구조를 제안한다. 제안된 데시메이션 필터는 개선된 cascaded integrator-comb(CIC)필터, cascaded comb, modified halfband 필터 및 halfband 필터, 프로그램 가능한 FIR 필터로 이루어져 있다. 새롭게 제안된 구조는 보상필터를 사용하여 CIC 필터의 통과대역 주파수 감쇠를 보완하고 aliasing억제 능력을 높여, CIC 필터에서 더욱 많은 데시메이션을 담당하도록 설계되었다. 또한 CIC의 보상필터로 인해 cascaded comb 및 modified halfband 필터를 사용 가능토록 하였다. 이러한 구조는 곱셈기가 필요 없기 때문에 연산량을 줄일 수 있고, FIR 필터의 계수를 줄일 수 있다. 실제 구현에서는 기존의 해리스사의 하드웨어에 비해, 곱셈 연산시 연산자 개수는 약 20%, 연산량은 약 50%의 복잡도를 줄일 수 있었다.

Today's firm runs on a customer-centric environment. Customers prefer to deal with companies that are accessible at anytime, from anywhere, in any form. Thix trend requires an ever-increasing number of channels to interact with the firm. And these channels ought to be integrated as well. To meet these challenges firms tend to rely on a customer interaction center (CIC) solution, enabling two-way interactions with customers through seamless contact channels. Though many firms these days tend to introduce the CIC into their organization, there is not much empirical research dealing with design elements that have to be fabricated in the CIC. This study is to investigate the relationship between CIC design elements and CIC effectiveness. To meet this objective we have contacted and surveyed a number of firms that are operating some form of CIC. We also describe a few success and failure cases in an effort to deliver issues or insights that should be considered in introducing CIC.

ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter) 와 DSP (Digital Signal Processor) 의 성능이 향상됨에 따라 아날로그 방식으로 처리하던 IF(Intermidiate Frequency) 대역의 신호를 디지털 방식으로 처리할 수 있게 되었다. 이를 디지털 라디오 또는 디지털 IF라 하고 이는 SDR (software definied radio) 의 초기단계라 할 수 있다. 디지털 라디오 개념을 수신단에 적용할 경우 오버샘플링에 의한 처리 이득을 얻을 수 있으며, 다중 캐리어방식의 수신단 설계가 가능하다. 디지털 수신기에서는 연산량 이득을 위해 데시메이션이 이루어지며, CIC (Cascaded Integrated Comb) 및 halfbandHalfband 필터 등이 앨리어싱방지 필터로 사용된다. 그런데, CIC 필터는 필연적으로 통과대역 내에서 롤 오프 현상이 발생하며, 이것은 수신단 필터의 통과대역 평탄도를 악화시켜서 수신성능의 저하를 초래한다. FIR 필터를 이용하여 보상해 주어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 W-CDMA 디지털 수신기의 수신성능에 최적인 CIC 롤오프 보상 필터를 설계방법을 제시하고, 설계된 필터가 CIC필터의 롤오프 특성을 보상하여 BER(Bit Error Rate)을 최소화시킴을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하였다. 필터 성능을 검증하였다.

A correction index of catchability (CIC) was derived using a 6 year research data set to examine the seasonal variation in catchability for the night time prawn fishery in Albatross Bay. CIC reflects the composite effect of the monthly variation in size selectivity, emergence­burying behaviour and population density variation of prawn populations. The values of CIC for four dominant species, Metapenaeus endeavouri, M. ensis, Penaeus semisulcatus and P. esculentus, were examined. The value of CIC for M. endeavouri varied substantially and was the highest in August. The values of CIC for M. ensis were high during November to March and the seasonality was weaker than that for M. endeavouri. The monthly variation in CIC for P. semisulcatus reflected the seasonal variation in population density, being high during November to February. These results suggest that the catch ability of P. esculentus is steady throughout the year but it varies greatly on a seasonal basis for M. endeavouri.

본 논문은 무선 통신 시스템에 사용될 수 있는 저전력의 Cascaded Integrator-Comb(CIC) 필터 뱅크 구조를 제안한다. 필터 뱅크를 만들기 위해서 CIC 필터의 적분기 섹션을 변화시켜 구성하는 방법을 제안하였으며, 원하는 채널별 중심주파수를 정확히 맞추기 위하여 Modified CIC Filter(MCF)를 사용하는 방법을 제안하였다. 이 방법으로 채널별 중심주파수가 원하는 주파수에 위치하도록 필터 뱅크를 구현할 수 있음을 보였다. 또한 각 채널별 통과대역 주파수응답특성을 개선할 수 있는 새로운 Generalized Comb Filter(GCF)를 제안하였다. 한 개의 GCF와 두 개의 GCF를 각 채널에 적용하는 방법과 그때 통과대역의 주파수응답특성이 얼마나 향상되는지를 보였다. 또한 본 논문이 제안한 CIC 필터 뱅크와 일반 FIR 필터를 사용한 필터 뱅크의 구현 소자의 수를 비교하여 구조의 우수함을 입증하였다.

In this paper, a new CIC filter structure for reduction of passband droop in CIC decimation filter is proposed. For improvement of passband characteristics, the 1st order Generalized Comb Filter(UF) is proposed in addition to the conventional CIC decimation filter. By using this filter, it is shown that passband droop is remarkably reduced and aliasing attenuation is slightly increased. We also propose how to find the optimum filter coefficient Furthermora, it is shown that choices for GCF are possible in terms of the number of Half-Band filter. Passband droops and aliasing attenuations of the proposed structure are compared with those of the CIC structures using conventional sharpening techniques.

The definition of Crime Indictable Upon Complaint (CIC) is crimes which can be prosecuted only with complaints from the victim or his/her direct parents. Sex crimes are the representative examples, rapes and indecent assaults. According to the research referenced in this paper, 74% of sex crimes which had been penalized based on Republic of Korea (ROK) Criminal Code amounts rape and indecent assault are CIC. However, only 20% of perpetrators were confined, and the rest received non-confinement or non-prosecution determination. The review of criminal history checks reveals that 67% of the perpetrators had criminal histories and 39% of them had more than three documented offenses. The CIC was established in order to protect the victim's rights and dignity, respecting the victim's opinion regarding the incident. All kinds of sex crimes then should have been the CIC, but those crimes such as Injury Resulting from Rape, Special Rape, Rape by Special Modus Operandi, Sexual Assault among Relatives and Domestic Violence which have to guarantee the opinion of the victims are prescribed as non-CIC. We therefore conclude that the CIC should be abolished. The abolition of CIC will play an important role in crime prevention because severe penalties for sex crimes will be imposed on the perpetrators. In addition, it will help the sex crime victims retrieve their dignity by spreading recognition widely through the community that sexual assault is not only a social assault but an infringement against human rights.
